I tried to kill an even swain as a fed kindred with executioner's calling, red smite, and hexdrinker. He exited the fight full health. In post 52, PJ. wrote:Hippo had a good game. tbf, getting an S on swain isn't hard. The same happens to me on illaoi, and both champs are quite similar in the playerbase that they have. A very large amount of people with few games who then give up on the champ, then a very small portion that plays it a couple of more times. Swain's a lot trickier as well, so the curve because steeper on top of there being a large population difference in experienced vs unexperienced. Numerically, he's one of the more skill based champions, and that makes sense on some levels. Basics like last hitting are more important on him than other champs, and his cooldown management is a bitch. If you do manage to get to midgame in one piece, he's very good, yes. Getting there is the issue.
Now this ties in with the mastery score thing. There area lotshit swains, with very few games under their belt. Scores as a result become inflated. The majority of illaoi wins get rewarded with an S, and that's really not because I'm always playing that well. She has the same issue with her player population. The system has a mean that is heavily influenced by an inexperienced playerbase.Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.-

I went 6/8 as Taliyah and received an S-
This champion doesn't make much sense to me
Low and unreliable damage, no dashes, no reliable cc, no sustain whatsoever hp or manawise, terrible duelist
She can't lane well, she can't shove well, she can't roam well, she can't pick off someone easily, she can't split push, she can't teamfight
I don't see what she brings to the tableMy favorite site mod is Zor Tester.
I have Brandi's autograph! I bet you're jealous.

I wonder if they want to push the value of her terrain hazards?
I got back into this and played a few Intro games this afternoon.
Shaco was no good. Didn't really know how to use his abilities. The backstab passive was kind of neat to apply though
Sion was pretty fun though. They didn't recommend items so I didn't know what to do and I'm pretty sure I made horrid choicesThere will be no kisses tonight
There will be no holding hands tonight
'Cause what is now wasn't there before and should not be-

Her ult is fucking broken for teamfights?

I think we have different standards for calling things "fucking broken for teamfights" and "pretty damn good peel".
Landing a good Taliyah ult could burn some dashes and flashes on enemy team. Maybe if you know their adc burned his flash and he is on a champion without escapes and his support has no way to rescue him and he positioned himself awkwardly, you can cut him off and kill him in a teamfight.
Landing a good yasuo/gragas/orianna/amumu ult will just straight win you the teamfight right then and there.
If the enemy diver isn't watching his feet, then I guess Taliyah could knock him away, but Alistar can do that without having to land a skillshot. Other supports who actually uses skillshots to peel often leaves the diver stunned or snared or whatever for their ADC to finish them.My favorite site mod is Zor Tester.

Landing a good mulitple CC ult will win you the game
ok well no shit but a rock wall is less avoidable
I don't know how to convince you that impassable terrain is completely broken for objective/map control, so I'll just wait for the inevitable pro player to master her and then endure hte posts of "OMG SHE BROKEZ" that inevitable comes after "this champ is dum"Fate is absurdly beautiful. 運命に弄ばれる

Okay, maybe not the champ without escapes part, but isn't this basically how Rumble traps people?In post 66, FakeGod wrote:he is on a champion without escapes and his support has no way to rescue him and he positioned himself awkwardly2011 scummies winner (BTS help) and participant;
coming back to Mafia...slowly. Keep an eye for me as a mod.
Also keep an eye for setup review requests.-

Doesn't cc his team though. And rumble doesn't have to be in an awkward spot to split the team, because vector(i think?) targetting. In post 70, Voidedmafia wrote:

Tali is a straight line typically vertical split that can split vital members from your own team out of a fight. It's not a bad move, it's just a very difficult and tricky one. It's a lot like Bard ult where it can be a self-burying move. It's very much a move that i wouldn't trust anyone to use correctly. Not even pros all the time. I think I've seen a total of 1 pro play bard effectively and I've seen at least 1 pro and countless scrubs throw with him. I think Taliyah is gonna be in the same vein but less strong all around.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.-

void I dunno man I don't play rumble
fate I never said taliyah ult is bad at objective control; it's great
we were talking about teamfighting and peeling
I gave examples of ults that I consider are "fucking broken for teamfights", and abilities that I consider are "pretty damn good peel"
I do not believe Taliyah's ult and knockup are on par with those examples; do you disagree? My favorite site mod is Zor Tester.
