Oman is not a big fan of actually hunting for scum in any game he is in. He just likes the wagon ride..

FoS: Oman

Curious Oman, do you keep records of your lynches (correct vs. incorrect?)

think you read the quote wrong. the FoS would be a vote in this game,

I havent seen him do it so often. Since he acts this way in everygame, I can not see voting him quite yet, thus just the FoS.

aimee, last time I am going to try to explain it to you. You have a crazy looking guy who always sharpens knives while mumbling to himself in the park (ie bandwagoning acting scummy). You see this guy and you automatic think, jesus he is going to kill someone (scum) in the park (town). If it was the first time I have ever seen the guy, I would probably call the authories to throw is ass in jail (vote for a lynch). However, you go to 4 other parks and see the same guy acting the same way in every park.

Now the odds that he wants to kill someone (scum) in every park (town) is very low. I dont want to ignore him (no FoS) because the dude is acting very strangely(scummy), but I am not sure he is a killer (scum) either..

thus the FoS.

metagame, for yourself and see what I am talking about

since we cant directly reference ongoing games it would be hard for me to show some examples...However, if you metagame a bit I am sure you will figure out what games I am referencing..

again, I am not clearing Oman at all...just not enough for me to push a wagon on him atm...also, I would like to see some out comes of other games to get a better read on Sir Wagons-a-lot.

I do my best to avoid being scummy each game and I think you should too. Other than a few people saying I'm too defensive I think I do a pretty good job, we'll see ;)

Early wagons at -2 are pressure. early wagons at -1 are a bad idea. You don't know who would be willing to hammer.
where did this post come from? who is using a metagame defense? Why should we care you try to avoid being scummy...and why volunteer that people think you are too defensive?

It's been mentioned on behalf of omen a few times. Should probably double check if he's used it himself, but metagame defenses aren't really a scumtell imho. They just bother me, because people aren't likely to go read all the other games for a small chance at improving a read.
Oman has not used that defense, and seems to be ignoring that this conversation is even going on...Oman comments?

Shteven wrote:Because I'm saying it's everyone's job to act pro-town. People shouldn't act scummy on purpose, I think it's harmful to the spirit of the game. I was trying to be a bit reasonable about this, though, because there are playstyle differences. To that end, I offered that people feel I'm over defensive as an example of a playstyle that could cause friction. I just think that when people ask me questions, as you did, that I should answer all of them, which I do.
this is an incredible silly post. everyone (scum included) should act pro-town? Some people think(not I) over defensiveness is scummy, should you stop being over defenesive then? Almost every type of action can be twisted to look scummy.

Shteven wrote:1) summarizing the thread like that isn't helpful. This could be scummy, but it could not be. It's pretty hard to vote over this. The thoughts section didn't contain much useful thoughts either, but that could just be day 1 being hard to read. Honestly, I don't know how much better mine would be.

2) Claiming "super sexy town" is not a claim. "town" is a content-free (and therefore acceptable) claim to make at any time. Everyone here is town, right? claiming townIE -is- a claim, and that would be very suspicious. So sammich did not make a roleclaim. So while there's no real need to post your own alignment, if you feel like claiming you get the ladies, it's not a scumtell.

3) Claiming I'm a doctor is where you went wrong. There's no reason for a town player to do this. It's either a horrible gaffe, or you're trying to signal who needs to be killed. I certainly hope it's not an innocent mistake, because this is day 1 and this evidence will be enough for my vote.

Vote: Sammich

Votes have been coming in pretty fast, so while I have a chance, I'd like to conduct a poll, for everyone: Should we delay a lynch if sammich gets to -1 or -2, or is this enough day 1 posting? My last game went into 40+ pages on day 1 and that was a bit...headache inducing ;)
I count 4 votes.

I dont like the fact that sammich thought you might be a Doc then mention it. However, this seems like a newbie town mistake versus a newbie scum mistake..

I dont buy your reasons for voting him....who exactly would he be signalling to? If he was mafia, why would be be signalling, when he could simply keep his mouth just, talk about it at night, and then NK you....as it stands, if you are NKed, many fingers will surely point his way.

point 2 is silly.

and I dont get point 1, content is always helpful...and he gave us some...

also seems like you are trying to shorten the day..

this whole post and vote seems opportunistic

vote Shteven

I thought it was a newbie town mistake..I got the feeling that sammich actually thought shteven was the doc....I actually didnt think he could have said it to help improve his "buddy's" creds with the town...which would have been a newbie scum mistake...but if that is the case, my vote on Shteven is still valid, wouldnt you think?

Was rereading some older pages, and this struck me as odd. From page 7, CKD asks LML why he thinks Oman will be lynched. You already assumed the lynch was certain? Obviously it's died down now, but back then he had a decent wagon. This was after the referencing ongoing games problem, and people talking about metaing Oman.

The certainity, and the apparent teamwork, bother me quite a bit.

FOS: CKD
LOL, keep stretching shteven…your OMGUS behavior is quite apparent. Now you are purposely misquoting me and taking posts out of context (SCUMMY). Where did I say I thought the lynch was certain? I asked LML why Oman will be lynched because he posted the following..
LoudmouthLee wrote:
Oman wrote:Okay fine, but I refuse to have them used in argument against anyone, ongoing games are ongoing, and they should stay out of other ongoing games.
Here's what bothers me, Oman.

#1) This, in my opinion, casts a much darker shadow on AlyG than you. However, your incredible amounts of "defensiveness" makes me a little bit concerned.

I feel like you're going through a "I'm scum, and I shouldn't be lynched over something like this!"

I feel a town alligned player would have just waited for the mod to come and fix it, rather than an outcry for having it removed. I am not prepared to vote you on it, as it's unfortunate.
However, you will probably be lynched over it.

If I were mod, I would modkill AlyG, but that's just me. Your reactions to the whole ordeal makes for interesting banter.

Major FoS: Oman
Notice the bold statement? Now, between the interchange, who here actual assumed Oman would be lynched, me or LML? I asked LML why HE thought Oman was going to be lynched. Where did I assume Oman would be lynched...

Confirm vote shteven

The people I find suspicious at the moment are:

Sammich
Oman
Aimee
SSF
LML

I'd like to hear more from the last 3, of course.

I will be gone until the 26th. Also giving you the heads up, I am in a ton of games so it might be slow going updating all the games I am in, but I will get to it when I get back.

Thanks for the entertainment, I hope you and yours have a good holiday.

well, I guess I agree with Fonz (even though, I think he is going about getting his point across incorrectly). Khel obviously fucked up the mod kill situation. Gatorguy is an ass for committing to mod a game he couldnt finish. This game really isnt fun. I thought it would get better once the mod killed off inactives, but he didnt kill off all of the inactive and killed off some that were still in the game. Of course if the game was update (1st page) or the Mod was paying attention, this could have been avoided. Does Khel even have mod powers? Who ball dropping action was that?

At any rate, I vote abandonment...which I think is a pisser for Justin playfair, who has put a lot of work into the game.

Inned for the new c9, also I was the Vig..and yes I did kill the Night 0 but i DID hit the scum...but I learned that it was bad...so at least I got something out of this game.
