That's a very good point. I'm not quite sure myself.Lazy wrote:
Why does he specifically mention bubka and masked jedi?Kanaga wrote: I'm just saying its unlikely mafia would make themselves stick out like that. And I never cleared everyone on the bandwagon, anyone on the bandwagon could be scum obviously. I was trying to say that Bubka and Masked Jedi could easily be town.-

I tend to agree.Tarhalindur wrote:
You've played with me enough that you should really know my feeling with agreeing with someone (or, as I call it, AGLEEING with someone) by now. It's nothing personal.curiouskarmadog wrote:

More pressure on Kanaga seems like a good idea to me, folks.

Really, cause the stats say otherwise. Might tell everyone why you think that we're wrong?Flameaxe wrote:
Massclaiming can be very helpful if people aren't fucking retarded and do it right. That is TOTALLY not lame. And to correct you: it isn't how you THINK mafia should be played.Lazy wrote:
I don't think that's overreacting, I feel the same way.Flameaxe wrote:I WANT to be lynched for saying ONE suggestion...in which I clearly stated was only that.
I'm pro-massclaiming (Pie's Soldiers! Huzzah!) for all open setups. I think if used correctly it can be very pro-town, and help out very nicely.
Over-react more please.
A mass roleclaim is one of the lamest things to do at this point. It isn't how mafia should be played.-

What school did you go to that taught stats in 2nd grade math!?Flameaxe wrote:Well fuck man. How the hell am I supposed to trust it WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN SHOW HOW THE FUCK YOU GOT THERE? RE-TAKE THE SECOND GRADE MORON.
Your post read:
"Blah blah blah, we shouldn't massclaim.
Here, have a pretty number with a percent to go with it so it seems like it has meaning."
Plain and simple.-

Sorry for not posting for the past wo days, but I've been pretty busy. I'm kind of surprised we are still talking about the Lowell lurking thing, but this one post sticks out.
This post reeks of scumminess. Uncomfortable with pressure and buddying up to someone.bubka wrote:
hey, I abstained from voting on you earlier, why are you after me now?Lazy wrote:
Isn't it 100% clear that Lowell IS lurking?bubka wrote:I don't think it is so clear that lowel is lurking though. I myself often think that way, looking for mistakes as others rant on.

So you'd rather not have them claim and let them get lynched? Having a power role getting constantly blocked or night killed as result of a claim is much better than having them not claim and getting lynched. If they are constantly blocked, then they are a confirmed townie and if they get nightkilled, the town gets another shot at lynching scum.death_omen wrote:Im not sure whether day 1 is always the right day to get a claim out of anyone (believe me I know from prior experience). In one of the other games I played i was pressured into role claiming by the town and i ended up claming because I had a power townie role (cop) and I got completely taken out of the game by a mafia role blocker who knew what i was and in that game the town ended up losing just because of that claim.
So in conclusion about that I dont think role fishing is going to help us to much in this format.-

I think that Bubka is a bit scummier than you do, but I agree that hammering him will give us some information for day 2 and beyond.Mert wrote: I have this gut feeling that he's town but the reason that I still think he is the best play here is because of the rapidness and reaction to his bandwagon. I am certain there is at least one scum on that list of early adopters and I think that knowing his alignment will provide opportunity for some juicy analysis tomorrow.-

If this and DGB's statement about him usually playing the game is true, then there is no reason we shouldn't put some pressure on him.Mert wrote:I only did it because I want DrippingGoofball to love me
Well, that's notentirelytrue. It's also because he's derailing the game when he has already been warned by the mod that doing so will forfeit any extension to the deadline and has repeatedly ensured that we go off-topic long enough to not find a credible alternative suspect. Something about it all doesn't add up - there's larking about (which I accept, he may be doing) and then there's hindering the town's chances despite knowing he was actively doing so by larking about. He's doing the latter, therefore vote stays.

I'm not sure this is true. I can see a someone self hammering helping the town in a situation where if he/she didn't a nolynch would take place or if he/she thought that she had a good number of scum voting for him/her.Flameaxe wrote:

With the timer running out, Flameaxe being a good little boy, and the less than stellar play from FL, it's time to move my vote.DrippingGoofball wrote:FaerieLord wrote:@Dripping Goofball. I started posting frequently now. So you can always analyze what I posted. So the content part of it is being obeyed now.Dear Miss Manners,
I am playing Mafia with FL and he says he's started to provide content, but in fact, everyone can see that he hasn't. Is it OK to start a wagon on the guy?

======================
Dear Dripping Goofball,
Until such time as you get actual content out of FL, it is perfectly socially acceptable to heap more votes onto him. In fact - I'd go as far as to say that you have my blessing if you want to lynch him.
Miss Manners.

You got a divine focus item!? I only got a WWJDD (What Would JDodge Do) bracelet!!Oman wrote:If Faerielord isn't following DGB around I'll eat my divine focus item.
DGB, I suggest you meta some of my completed games, or at least, ask CKD and others who played with me about my playstyle D1.
Oh and while I have been on wagons, I've had good reasons for most of them and decent reasons for the rest.
Masked Jedi - Random vote
Lazy - Pushed the first wagon to get the game going (Plus he had the scummiest video game character ever, the Dog From Duckhunt,as his avatar)
Kanaga - Pressure vote; wanted to see how he'd react
Bubka - Lurker and extremely scummy posts up until the claim
Flameaxe - Voted for the guy that's been derailing the game.
FaerieLord - Lurker
Speaking of FaerieLord, I am impressed by the content she has posted recently, even if DGB helped her a bit.
