Unvote Vote: Xyzzy, FoS: Jdodge
Let's get things started.
I was merely pointing out the fact that xyzzy was using the same tactic that I normally use, the one that if I remember correctly, he said he "hated" in some game a while back.-

Because I clearly didn't find it to be as big of a deal as you are making it out to be, so thusly I just made a sarcastic comment and was willing to ignore it for now.Shanba wrote:Ok. I misread that post. In which case, then, knowing it's inconsistent with his behaviour in other games, why did you not point that out, instead of just sayng "that's my line"?-

Golly, since I use these basic tactics every game, I must always be scum, which is strange because I'm not.[/sarcasm]
Mert, stop being a frickin' moran.
Your attempts to be abrasive/mean/whatever you want to call it are really, really painful, and you are just making yourself look like a complete and utter idiot.
Please stop.-

JDodge, in your previous post, you stated you were waiting for dylan or dylan's replacement. Well, Setael is here. Any thoughts?

Shit, I confused this game with a different one.Setael wrote:Interesting. I don't see how my vote is OMGUS since Guardian has never attacked me, voted me, or even accused me.
How about instead of just saying I need to die and voting me, you tell me why my argument is in any way faulty or doesn't make sense. Because... it's a decent case imo - much better than the non-existent case you have on me.

I wholeheartedly agree with the above statementRishi wrote:Based on other games, Sikario8 has absolutely no friggin' clue what he's doing.
That doesn't make him scum though.
I will note the "Should I just hammer Rishi?" comment reminds me of dylan's comment on Day 1 where he asked permission to put a vote on ssf. And dylan turned out to be scum.
I'm torn.-

R.I.P. Logic, beginning of time - November 10, 2007Guardian wrote:Bookitty is trying really really hard. I tend to think she wouldn't leave so much analysis for us to scrutinize if she is scum. Eh, she is def still in my top three though.
However,
unvote vote: Jdodge.
One thing really bugged me -- when I metagamed him, and said his not posting was scummy, he asked "remember the last time you tried to do this?" He was right to do so -- he was town in that game.
However, he FAILED to point out thatIwas scum in that game. There were two scum factions, but I was scum and the last time I made that argument it could have been just BS scum tactics -- and I would expect him to bring that up here.
His failure to do so makes me think he was possibly buddying --he wasn't interested in figuring out if I was scum, he was only interested in making me think that he wasn't scum.
Also, his behavior re: both scum wagons has been suspicious.
More Jdodge wagon please. Bookitty and Patrick can wait.-

lynch all variables?Shanba wrote:
Eh. Bolded part is untrue (also I'd like your explanation of how you reached that conclusion), italics part is true, and interesting. We have one scum alive out of 7 players. We have three guaranteed lynches left, in which time we need to correctly identify the scum. If we leave Jdodge alive, this becomes more difficult, as he's difficult to get a read on. It eliminates one of the variables, as he's one of the most likely to be scum to my eyes. Better that than lynching someone I have a pro-town read on, even if it's a mild one.Rishi wrote:
I realize that's not what you said, but I think that might be some of the motivation behind your reasoning.Shanba wrote:Rishi, if that's what you think I said then you missed the point.
The reason you have pro-town reads on everyone else is that you probably have no read on JDodge.Lynching him is one surefire way to get a read.-

2 things I'd like to clarify before any possible claim.
Can you in any way explain this argument further? I think you'll find nothing beneath the surface.Rishi wrote:Man, I am not sure about Sikario8's vote. However, I'm starting to lean against him as scum for a purely metagamed reason. White had been absent for much of Day 3 and then was replaced on Day 4. Obviously, the Mafia sent a kill during the night, and White has been completely absent from the site during the entire Night 3.
These meta-game arguments have gotten me in trouble in the past.

Then I am at this time refusing to claim until someone with actual suspicions on me aside from JUST BANDWAGONING LOLZ asks for it. Except for the people who are already voting me.Guardian wrote:
He seems to both be joining the strongest available wagon, and has little original thought in doing so. Also, even in describing what reasons he is borrowing from others to vote, I don't think he is using the stronger ones.JDodge wrote:

How does it make any sense for me to fakeclaim roleblocker (or anything for that matter) as the lone remaining scum? Especially when my lynch was imminent?Patrick wrote:
What would be the purpose of this as a town gambit? I'm a bit confused.Shanba wrote:Jdodge, if you're gambitting, I'm sorry, but honestly I'm not good enough to not counterclaim here.
If we assume Shanba is the roleblocker we can clear him and Bookitty. That leave 5 suspects, and we have 3 lynches. Maybe we can use Shanba to clear another person too though.-

Technically speaking it's not advantageous for me to fakeclaim regardless of alignmentBookitty wrote:Out of curiosity, what is the advantage for town to falseclaim?
I'm just not getting how JDodge fakeclaiming roleblocker is advantageous to town in any way. And I'm very sure it is a fakeclaim. (The advantage to scum would be if we believed it, I guess, since he was likely to be lynched otherwise.)
Am I missing something obvious?-

Meh, I knew that flaw when I first made the setup but couldn't think of any way to fix it; I'd considered replacing the RB with a vig, would that help it any?Patrick wrote:I really like the concept of Picking your Poison (and I'm shortly running a mini theme based on it), but I don't think this specific setup should be tried again, because the powerole choices for scum seem pretty routine. I figured if I claimed townie, I was dead; so I figured I'd at least have some fun with it.mneme wrote:From my perspective, we (that is, the mafia) had self-destructed by the time I was lynched, and it was only a matter of time.
JDodge fakeclaiming is an impressively bad way to lose, though; there's never a reason to let that pass, and that kind of gambit is -exactly- what LAL was coined for.
