Yes you sure did. If your name was PM'd it means either a minecraft account matching your username has player data in it, or a sign at a building had your MS name on it

Idea: If you are keeping this server up just for a few weeks for nostalgia, and then moving to a brand new world, then maybe give people TP/fly privileges so they can explore the glory of the olden days

Unless vanilla has changed to allow a bit more flexability on user permissions?

I heard there is an expectator mode now, havent read into it though.

Edit: Just read the wiki - spectator mode might be just what you want: It allows one to fly and clip through blocks, but not interact with the world -- so it would be great for running a "museum" server. We could even set up a command block to give spectator mode to players on demand.

So, hopped back into the world -- all nether portals were deactivated, and activating them again generates... "fun" ... locations for the new portals

This is the oldest original town building.

That is definitely my house, which I stole from a NPC villager.
There is also a massive railroad underneath the house which leads out to my actual residence, out in the snow.

I might have to download this and run through once more

I'd consider putting another Vanilla server back up but there would need to be someone actually active and around to be the admin (I don't play Vanilla). I'll keep an eye out for announcements on 1.9, or someone can bug me about it.
