Looks like it, although he hadn't posted on the site for over a week prior to setting the deadline, so I'm not sure what that means...

Do you mean stronger, rather than stranger? If so, I agree that we're better off now because we're able to act more decisively. Having said that, we no longer have the luxury of being able to make a mislynch without losing.

I am a little concerned at what I suspect was a general lack of information from day 1, especially since we know for sure that there's no cop coming to save us. I'm going for a hunt through the posts now to see what I can find on the scum.

Ok, xyzzy and Fernando both posted on the site today, but not in this thread, obviously. Inarticulation looks to be long gone - no posts since the 1st from him.

I'm seriously beginning to despair of ever finishing this game, though I suppose the one week deadline will ensure that we get a lynch today. We're SOL if Flea and I don't agree on the target, though.

Sorry, but I must protest. A lynch is a lynch, everyone here should know the rules without having to be explicitly told how many votes are required. Allowing people to unvote after a lynch compromises one of the basic principles of the game, not to mention basically reverses the result in this case.

So? Just because

didn't want a hammer doesn't mean we don't. It's common knowledge that if you vote in LyLo you leave yourself wide open to a quicklynch loss, and that's what you did. Lynch is lynch, and judging from Rand's post above, he agrees.

Indeed. The way this game went and the way this game

should

have went are vastly different things.

If the Day 1 deadline was Non-negotiable, I should have been lynched D1.
The deadline was reset, which doesn't fly when the original deadline was "non-negotiable"
The deadline then passed

again

, with me still on the chopping block, yet I wasn't killed.
The deadline was then retracted over a week after it had passed.
A 5 day deadline was then set, despite the fact that the D1 deadline was meant to be 10 days.
JD's deadline extension was ignored, despite the fact that the current deadline had not already passed.
xyzzy, whose lynch would have instantly made JDodge the winner, had reached 2 votes

12 days

before benhalkum did, yet ben was lynched anyway.

So, yeah, this game was awful. =(
