Vanilla for now. My computer is a piece of crap, so I'm not especially keen on downloading something extra just to play (although given the Modded's version, that would allow me to play with my Zelda texturepack...).

Question: Is there any limits on our own Mods? I have Rei's Minimap installed, simply because I have a nasty habit of getting lost while exploring and losing my house.

Also, do you guys do any sort of audio chat while playing? I like playing Minecraft more as a social experience.

I always use Skype to chat when I'm on a private server that I play on. It gives a feeling of connectivity, even when you're doing your own thing.

I'm going to build something in town just for this game. Everybody in the game gets a room. When/if you are killed in the game, you can jump in the lava (or whatever) in the middle of the room, and we'll update the sign outside your room/lock your room. Should keep things interesting. We should have a nice memorial by the end.

I started a temporary site for it. Going to stop until I get the actual go ahead, and then I'll be looking for a more permanent location with the help of the community. It would be nice to do a joint building project.

We can just post the results on signs after they're revealed (How the person died. No roles.). Other than that, you can just think of it as a communal house or whatever for those playing the game. Nothing of the game is discussed outside of the thread. We just sacrifice the person revealed to be killed and erect some sort of monument. If Tierce or DC thinks that's too close to discussing on-going games, then we can just make a monument after the fact. I never meant for it to stray into ongoing territory.

P-edit: Ok. It's a cool idea, but I can see the potential for disaster. DC should at least do something on his end, even if it's just a sign announcing the result.

This description kinda sounds like my area. If the little farm is right on the river then yes its me. I have stairs leading down into the mines, and my mine and Tierce's kinda connect right at the bottom of the stairs.

Let me know where the hub is when you're finished. I'd like to build my own tunnel there once I figure out where I'd like to have my station. I agree with Tierce, my mines don't need to be connected to the hub. In fact I'd prefer if they weren't.

I actually fell into a cave connected to your mines when I was digging out the entrance to the station under my cube. That hub is currently in the roof of that cave. All I'd need to do is build a stairway down to the bottom of the cave, with an actual entrance (I want to keep everything enclosed somewhat.). I would try to make it as non-obtrusive as possible.

Also, I tend to mine by exploring cave systems, instead of using a systematic approach, such as branch mining, therefore, that cave system is ideal for me. Would it be too problematic if I mine in that cave in the near future. I even saw a non-explored section closer to my entrance of the hub.

I'll probably be looking at the caves closer to the surface, since it looked like no one had explored them. My main mining outpost is actually away from spawn, and it's actually the first place I'm building the subway system to, so I doubt that I'll be interfering with you too much. I just might need to explore certain sections for immediate supplies for the rail system.

It also sounds like I'm nowhere near Tierce's section. The area I fell into was well lit.

Meh. People massively overestimate what you need for a dragon run, especially if you're doing it with a group. Really, low-level enchants on iron gear, a power I bow with a decent stock of arrows, a water bucket in case you attract endermen, food, and blocks should be enough.

I like to overprepare, plus I'm trying to work through the achievement list, and am nowhere close to ready. If nothing else, I have a few other servers I can work on an enderdragon run (in fact, on one of the servers, it may well be recorded.).

Sorry you missed the dragon run ETL I missed it the same way a previous time pretty much last minute no warning. I only made it this time because I happened to be on the computer when izak asked about doing the dragon. It woulda been nice to have a set day and time at least a couple days in advance so more people coulda been involved. I'm sure bulba/chkflp/tierce/etc probably would have liked to have been involved as well.

I think I was eating/getting ready to tutor at that time. I was nowhere near ready for a dragon run anyway.

Hey Klaz. I just got done lighting up a lot of that cave system. Although, I think I found what the original problem was. I accidentally left a few holes in the tunnel roof, and I think the mobs were falling through.

It was a sad night in the village.

I had been mining to collect cobble and coal to wall in and light up the village to keep the poor villagers safe. In the mean time, they were all blocked in their houses so the zombies wouldn't get them at night. I ran into an abandoned mine and started clearing through it. Every now and then I'd come up and build a little more wall and light up a bit more area. But last night, when I came up from the mine the last time, I found my villagers had been raptured/abducted by aliens/whatever. They didn't leave a note so I know they did not choose to leave on their own volition. I have failed them. I no longer have a purpose to remain in the village. In fact, it is now creepy, all abandoned and alone. Every now and then, I think I hear them talking. I hear a

"HUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

out there in the night. But when I search, I can not find them. They haunt me.


So, uh, anyways, yeah. Villagers are gone. They despawned or something. It was sad, but now I must move on.

The enderdragon has not been fought yet (Speaking of which, were we still going to do that?). The Wither can be fought multiple times as long as you can gather the materials.

I'm with you. Use common sense when chopping down trees. If they're too close to someone else's place, or they're roped off, ask before you chop. Plus, if she starts shooting trespassers, I may never be able to use her nether portal as a shortcut again, and that bites.

An actual spawntown would look much better at the top of the mountain, but the builds by sea level have grown organically and we want no part of that wall business.

That was my suggestion as well. Bag End is a nice welcome center, but I think that area has pretty much reached it's limit as far as sustainability.

As you can see, the entrance is marked with acacia logs. There is, however a major problem with its location:



It is way too close to my house. I accidentally exposed the roof while mob proofing the outside of my newest addition. Furthermore, I'm afraid the builder might actually tunnel into one of my rooms. Whoever started building here is way too close for comfort, and they need to move. I actually have half a mind to take the acacia logs as well, but only because I use them a lot for building purposes.

Question has two parts. 1) I have a Wither Skellie spawner (anyone is welcome to use it. I also have an Enderman spawner, also public but I do have to change them out as I have only one room built for them), AND 2) I have skulls to make 2 Withers and I know Dav has said he has enough for at least 1....when we gonna kill this thing? I've been land bound too long

I built the first floor of the house. Mainly it was to get a roof over our heads during the first night the server was up. I've been wanting to put more work into it, but I haven't had the time since to get on.

We here at Bulba's Lighthouse have had a vested interest in the growth and preservation of the Bend since the beginning. Currently we are lending space to the community for mutual building, and while we are delighted to have new business ventures in the neighborhood, we must remind our new entrepreneurs that the protection of our local ecosystem is a high priority to the board. The Lighthouse prioritizes community projects and the beautification of the Bend area. Construction on the second and third levels of the Lighthouse are scheduled to begin in the next couple of weeks, and the first level will be retrofitted as a community center. The Lighthouse is interested in arrangements that will be beneficial to both businesses and the local community, and rental space will be available after Christmas.
