I miss minecraft too. I've been incredibly busy with school/work/life, but I'm coming back. Finals are next week so I'm hoping to have time after that.

Vanilla IS dead. I've been paying for it but it's been broken for a while with no way to fix it and no way to get it back.

I'm really sorry about that. Because of this, I will likely move modded to a non-cloud server somewhere cheaper.

I also plan to review the player activity and the modpack. I know that Oso is still playing, and I know that Yes wants a copy of the world files (I'm sorry - I haven't forgotten, I've just been totally and completely swamped). That will happen as well. Just give me 1-2 weeks to get my shit together.

I have started looking at making a new pack. SP4 will be wrapped up and world files posted for download. Nothing is changing just yet. There is a suggestion doc up that I'll be working from, just like last time. There's a link on the blog as usual, and you can find it here as well.

SP4 world files are being uploaded. SP4 will be taken down soon so don't log on or change anything cuz it won't be saved.

A temp server for the FTB Hubris pack has been loaded. I haven't had a chance to test it yet so don't get too invested. I just got the files on there and I may need to make some tweaks later. But yeah. Info on the blog

GOOD NEWS YALL!

SP5 will be available for testing VERY SOON (like... TONIGHT!) You know what this means - everyone will have access to creative mode for the purpose of

breaking things.

The OP has been updated with the server details and I will post as soon as it's live. I plan to test for a week or two before official launch. The mods can be downloaded from the link on the doc and as always, the most up to date information is posted on the blog.

Also congrats to Gabe who is our new co-admin for the modded server (and I don't even think he's an ms.net user...)

We've added mods since the world was generated and changers configs - major updates to world gen settings without resetting the test world, so I am not entirely concerned about that. see if you can find it after we reset world.

It's a third party challenge modpack on the FTB launcher. The story is that the world was destroyed and all that remains is this barren wasteland. no plants, no animals, just a bunch of dried up sand and dead trees. it includes the HQM (quest book) and you have to regrow things using other means. it's interesting. here's the entry on the FTB wiki and here's episode 1 of direwolf20's Regrowth Let's Play series with Soaryn]. The video is a great example of the co-op "mode" that's possible.

just a warning - there is no in-game mini map and it's supposed to be that way, so i'd encourage you NOT to add a client-side minimap. there are quests involving creating a map. the two things i did add to it were optifine and moustweaks.

jack - don't necessarily need heating upgrade for crucible furnace. add coal to smelt iron until you can make some of those upgrades.

Rhinox - SP5 is main server. Regrowth is just a fun side thing. I'm usually in the room but i'm often at work or school. the IRC gets pretty active mid-day and later at night.

Extra-Life FundraiserSaturday, November 7th is the Extra-Life fundraising event, where gamers around the world play games to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network of Hospitals.

This year, one of our players - Gabegonzo - will be participating by doing the full 24-hour marathon, with all donations directly benefiting the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. REGROWTH SERVER UPDATE

I have discovered a bug with the Thaumcraft golems where they do not harvest the agricraft crops correctly (breaking them instead of simply harvesting). This was fixed in the pack update on the launcher, so I will be updating the server to the most recent version of the Regrowth pack (I believe that is 0.8.4) tomorrow evening.

So if you are told you have unmatched mods, that's why. Go update the pack via the launcher by selecting the correct version before clicking 'launch'. Just make sure to check to see if the update has happened first. I'll put the version in the server announcement you see before trying to connect.

Updating Regrowth server now.

Regrowth is now fully updated to 0.8.4. All you need to do to update your pack is select 0.8.4 from the version list at the top in the FTB launcher and then click launch. Backup your files if you wish, but you shouldn't need to.

ATTENTION

If you had a sippy tower or other passive generation flowers (Botania hydroangeas, nightshades or dayblooms), it is likely that they withered and will need to be replaced. When the update happened, configs returned to default and the setting didn't take, so I will be going around and replacing any botania flowers that withered. Well right now, I don't know what's going on with Vanilla. I'm not sure anyone even plays it. Regrowth and SP5 are still solid, but activity is down probably due to school and stuff for most people. I'm slowly working on the next modpack as well, so when that is finished (probably a couple months from now at least) activity should spark up again.

However, there are some great builds on SP5 and I do plan to go around getting screenshots for the blog anyway, so I'll post those here when I do that. I've been super busy with school and my new job so things are kind of crazy but finals are at the end of the month, so not for much longer.

Mods for 1.8.9/1.9 are in the works, but neither version has a complete enough set to begin any real work on it, beyond testing alpha/beta versions of the mods. I am going to shoot for beginning work on that closer to the end of the summer/fall.

I am working on a new 1.7.10 modpack to bring back some old favorites - Forestry/Bees, Mekanism, and MystCraft to name a few. What do yall think about that? Currently, I'm updating all the mods currently in the SP5 list and going from there. Let me know what you would like to see.

SP6 Beta (MC v. 1.9.4)

A beta server will be going up this weekend to begin testing for the next pack. Links for the SP6 and Infinity Evolved: Skyblock worlds will be uploaded and posted on the blog. Download links for the beta server will be there as well. Keep in mind that this pack will change OFTEN until final release, so updates will likely be in the form of blog posts. I plan to make bi-weekly updates to the download link to keep it as up to date as I can, since yall know my internet struggles
