"Quick" notes about Listen Up! Mafia, in case I'm not here right when quadz updates since it's next in the queue (but not in signups yet!):

  • The mechanics of this game will require reliable activity and sizeable time devotion to the game. Please, please only sign up if you can commit.

  • Clyp rules and mechanics:


    1. The only things you are allowed to post are votes and links to audio clips of you speaking that are hosted on http://clyp.it. You may record on Clyp directly or upload a file to Clyp. (And as much as I would like to, my moderation will be conducted mostly normally/visually for sanity's sake.)
    2. You can log into Clyp using a Facebook account. This is not required at all for the game, but keep in mind that it may help you to compile all Clyps you have made, and nobody can see your profile/name anyway.
    3. Clyp allows users who have logged in to both title and tag their Clyps.
      Please do not do this; leave the default title "My Clyp" and default tag "MyClyp" as is.

    4. When you post a link to a Clyp, you
      are
      allowed to link with a title of no more than 5 words. For example,
      Sample Post wrote:Sorry I'm not that clever

    5. Clyps must all be of your own voice.

    6. No modifications to audio files are allowed. Using a program for pitch shifting, cutting out parts of the audio/pausing the recorder at points, etc. are all forbidden.
      You can change your voice naturally if you want. But whatever you record, record it all at once, and post the recording in its entirety. If you mess something up and don't like a part, record the whole thing again.
    7. Please don't try to find loopholes through any of the above rules. I'm fairly sure you all have a general idea of what I want and don't want happening; I clearly don't want to have to tighten up the rules midway through the game. It's no fun for anyone.

  • Setup mechanics:


    1. Any audio-based private communication is guaranteed to be untraceable.
    2. There are two pairs of
      Pen Pals
      in this game. A Pen Pal has access to text-based private night communication with their partner. A Pen Pal may be of any alignment, and may have other aspect(s) to their role.
    3. There is at least one
      Vanilla Townie
      role:
      You are a
      Vanilla Townie
      .

      You have no special abilities.

      You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated and there is at least one Town-aligned player alive.

  • 2 Aliens
    have access to daytalk, a shared nightkill ("kill"), and individual non-consecutive nightkills ("kill2").
  • 1 Laser Cannon
    is revealed at game start, and has a daily dayvig ("kill") power that must be posted in thread to be used.
  • 6 Bunkers
    have 2 shots each to doctor ("protect") any one player at night from one kill,
    including themselves
    . (For example, if Bunker X used protect on itself and was the only one to do so, and Alien Y used kill and kill2 on Bunker X, Bunker X would die.)
  • The Laser Cannon's dayvig resets the votecount, but does not extend the deadline. It also cannot be used if a lynch has already been achieved for the day.


  • The Invasion (Aliens)
    wins when either:

    • The Laser Cannon is eliminated.

      OR



    • All Bunkers are eliminated.

  • Earth (Laser Cannon and Bunkers)
    wins when the Invasion is eliminated.


Credit to Flames682 for turning the proposed changes into actual modifications.

xelfix, angrypigdeon is only just joining the queue to mod. you can /in for that game once quadz08 announces signups are open for it,
or try messaging the angrybird to see if he'll hold a spot for you ahead of time

maybe this is just a weird burst of sympathy from me but why not actually be nice to new players even at the risk of looking ~totally uncool, bruh~ you know??

You will send two Night 0 dreams to Serenity, along with confirmation of your alignment, upon receipt of your Role PM from her; the dreams will receive comments and will be processed as any other Night's dreams would. It is a normal Night, but with no possible deaths.

(The above Role PMs will be edited before being sent out to include full confirmation info and whatnot.)

You'll have to wait until quadz goes ahead and confirms that the game is full, all players are within limits/allowed to play, etc.

Also Space Invaders 3 has 4 spots left to fill in like a day! Stop fantasizing about being an IC-Dayvig and CHOOSE YOUR OWN DESTINY.

Change from previous setup:
"Aliens (Mafia) choose one of the following kill methods in Pregame: a basic no-limit factional kill, or a 2-shot factional kill with both shots usable on the same Night if wanted. (A failure to agree will assign the former.)"


Otherwise the same! Trying to test out better setup balance iterations each time. Maybe we can finally stick with this.

pisskop is unable to mod as part of his ban.

However, as the game's already filled, and an Open Setup,
if any qualified mod is willing to start up and run Micro 604 ("Reverse"/Vote for Town Mafia) please PM both me and quadz08 in the next 48 hours.
It'd be great to be able to get this game running as soon as possible.

Also, in case anyone was wondering when the Micro Queue would fully transition over to me... not quite yet, but soon!
