They are a basic cheap option for moving items. So I think they go really well alongside Progressive Automation if ETL is looking at that.
They aren't as functional as the other pipes and certainly not as great as using EIO conduits and such. But it's an early game option. Just figured I'd point it out because it looked good for a solid little mod that potentially has a niche to fill.

Played around with Progressive Automation some. Seems pretty solid mod. Definately not early game breaking. It seems they can only mine what the individual tools inside it can mine. So upgrading them is needed to be able to use higher level tools. The higher levels require upgraded .... upgrades. So within a few hours I got eight upgrades into a iron miner, which allows me to mine a 3x3 square down 65 blocks. So it's not game breaking and I got lucky on hitting a lot of iron and redstone to be able to do it.
Considering I think branch mining or cave mining might be faster to get ores, I'd say the PA is pretty solid mod for folks that want to do simple automation like mining. Haven't looked at the grower or chopper but I'd imagine the are very similar.
I have been enjoying some parts of smart move I think it is. The ability to climb some stuff and such is very nice when trying to scout areas and such, but I don't know if there was any discussion on that.

I don't know about all the computer mods. But I know that the computer mod we had can control reactors wonderfully and way more efficiently then trying to manually control them. SO I think they are good that way to manage resources.

Also, let me know when I next post in IRC where the gold is at. Either I'm looking in WAY the wrong spot ... or gold generation is just horrible. I've found more diamond then gold at this point.
Did may a claycenia or whatever. Great to make clay from sand! I might actually make things I want to make. Got some RF production going with a pulverizer right now. Pretty excited about that as well.

On Vanilla, the NW of the map is cordoned off with a really bad wall. That well be fixed I'm just working on not getting blown up or swarmed by zombies.

I cleared out two of the small huts. I can definately rebuild them if someone is upset about it I needed wood and didn't like their locations at all. So my apologizes if I need to fix it that's not an issue. Although one of them was partially creeper exploded too

I've started dropping torches to try and get monster spawn out of spawn. It's hideous and ugly but I don't like tons of witches and creepers running around. And I figure we can work on something prettier. But I just now started and I'm not very good at sticking to one thing.

Every where I end up someone has already been here. Go digging far away from spawn ... Start a stair, claus' place. Dig further and further away. Came up so nothing around. Started terraforming. Find out someones little triangle house is up on the hill above.

Just a note to whoever powered the rail below my house, it's unpowered as thats a point I want to stop at.
Also, I can't get my mob spawner to work. It just seems like it's made more mobs spawn around it. I've lit up every area I see mobs spawning in in my chasm but maybe there is some nearby caves causing issues.

Yeah. Not upsetting by any means. Just means taking out a redstone torch. But I was VERY supristed when I went to go to the bottom of Chicken Hill and instead continued going all the way to spawn.

Well when I used it I had to get like .... 40-50+ sippy flowers in order to have a somewhat functioning furnace .... This was a while ago so maybe something changed but a single big of coal on one of those flowers that burned stuff just about replaced my whole sippy tower ....
I think it seems like a weak way to balance it, but I don't know. I haven't played modded in what a year?

Fiancee tore the second level off my desk. Looks much better now. She had the desktop running when I got home, loading up some modded minecraft on that. Still runs so much better on this then my laptop. Wonder why.

I had issues with a full inventory a few times before I figured it out. It's a good feature so I don't throw a reward into lava or something but it should tell you why it's not working.
I've had a VERY lonely time on minecraft today. No one has been on or around at all.

Also ETL. I stole some skeleton seeds. I got tired of that crap.
heads up for everyone if you aren't playing regrowth and starts. If it asks if you want a skeleton seed as a reward, say yes. Otherwise it because much harder. It's such a stupid quest choice, it should be a bug.
