Not a role, but I think the double day mechanic is Normal now, which would play nicely with multiple killing factions.

Gunsmith is pretty close.

Also, the point of Normalcy is that it doesn't push for any progress itself, but instead more or less neutrally reflects the conventional site meta, right? There are enough roles that would make Normal games more interesting (percentageless Faith Healers), but that doesn't mean they'll get implemented before people use them in their own games.

I made the public Gun list because there are only a few roles whose gun ownership status is questionable, and allowing it to change from game to game only leads to confusion.

I don't get this reaction at all. It sounds like BB used a role in a way you don't consider Normal. Then, instead of making him change the setup, you let him run the setup and blanket-banned the role.

Example of a scum vig setup I'd consider normal:

1 cop
1 tracker
1 doc
7 VTs

Even then, I'd argue that the non-normal part of the game was that there were only two scum in the game. I don't think anyone would assume the vig to be town in the setup I posted.

an early scum death will probably result in an early massclaim after which it shouldn't be too hard to figure the setup out
