Mini 473: Urban Dead Mafia! Barhah! (Over)

(Note: This does not reflect the actual situation in either this mafia game or in the actual Urban Dead game. This is for flavor purposes only.)

The Suburb of Eastonwood.


A harman stood atop Sleeman Tower. It was a simple job, really: watch for the zeds. Everyone was on edge in the suburb, as they knew about the destruction just a few suburbs away. Destruction that was spreading. Footsteps were heard on the steps behind the harman. Must be time to let someone else take the watch. It was just that there were.... many... footsteps.

"How are ya today? You ready to take the watch?"

"BANANA GANGBANG"


The harman was indeed talking to his friend. Except that friend wasn't a harman now. And the zed had friends in the 'afterlife', too.

The people of Eastonwood heard the gunshots from the tower, then the smashing of a window and the CRUNCH of a human body hitting the pavement.

BARHAH! Zabarman! Ah maz hab barbaga zaarz...


And this was only the start. Eastonwood survivors quickly found themselves in serious trouble as the zeds quickly started swarming in, be it a coordinated assault en route to bigger things or an influx of the countless ferals strewn about. Many of the important resource buildings were ransacked. Eastonwood was quickly evacuated.

A few weeks later...


"Anyone on Eastonwood's radio frequency, listen up. The zed population is beginning to filter out. This may be our chance to get in there and return the suburb to human hands and get those ... *static* ... zeds outta here. LET'S GO!"

And the battle between the survivors and the undead began anew.

Rules of the Suburbs:


[1] Be civilized. No excessive flaming or anything of that sort, lest you be replaced.
[2] The game stays in this thread. Unless you're a role that allows you to PM others, but that will only be allowed at night.
[3] No invisible text, mini text, color=black, or anything else to try to hide text.
[4] No editing posts. If you made a mistake in coding, I'll fix it for you. If you made a mistake in hiding your scumminess... can't help ya there Wink
[5] No quoting PMs. No making direct reference to any flavor that may be in said PM. Doing so is grounds for an instant modkill. If you have questions on what you can quote, feel free to PM me and ask.
[6] Votes and Unvotes must be in
Bold
, or else I won't count them. Vote counts will come at the top of each page. A majority is needed to lynch, and you may vote No Lynch. After the lynching vote has been cast, stop all game-related conversation.
[7] Nights will last a minimum 72 hours. Extensions may be used as needed.
[8] Only one 'Bah!' post after you're dead. No more game-relevant info in that post, and no more posting after that.
[9] If posting becomes insufficient, a deadline may be placed. At deadline, if at least 2/3rds of the players are voting, the person with the most votes will be lynched. If there is a tie in this instance, whoever got there first is lynched. If 2/3rds of the players are not voting, there is No Lynch.
[10] Try to post at least once every 72 hours or so. If you don't, I may prod. If you don't respond to that, I'll start searching for replacements. Notify me if you won't be able to post for an extended amount of time. I tend to not check V/LA very often if at all.
[11] Violation of the above rules may result in a warning, replacement, or modkill. Modkills sending the game to night will be dealt with on a case-on-case basis.
[12]
Blue italics are reserved for my mod-edits (mostly vote counts).

Game Specific Notes


- For the purposes of the game, the Survivors/Harmans are 'town', and the zombies/zeds are 'mafia'. Other factions may or may not exist.
- Once you are dead, you are dead
for good
. There will be no harmans turning into a zed, or vice versa.

The survivors quickly find a few inconspicous buildings. Quickly eliminating the few zombies in them, they quickly build barricades to protect themselves from other zombies. However, the zombies have already taken note of this, and are not pleased. The battle starts now.

As everyone wakes up, it is quickly discovered that someone did indeed lose their brains. You find

Ok, I know there's only four people left. I also know that that is not an excuse for this kind of activity. I don't want to deadline the game at this point, but if the activity doesn't pick up in a hurry it will get a deadline, and it will not be a long one.

Zodiac knew he had to deal with the zombie menace this night. Most of his shotguns were out of ammo, and he could still smell the stench of a zombie amongst them. He found his target, and wasted no time delivering his justice upon pulsewidth. Unfortunately, he was so intent on killing bitches

that he failed to realize that pulsewidth was actually a harman, even if he was just a standard civilian. Zodiac then realized the true threat was in the room, as the barricades crumbled and the rotting form of Albert B Rampage shambled in. Zodiac wasted little time pointing his shotgun at the zombie's face. His shotgun wasted little time confirming it was out of ammo with a *click*. As Albert moved closer, letting out a threatening graagh, Zodiac tried to use five more shotguns. They all went *click*. Quite pissed at this turn of events, Zodiac pulled out two katanas and dared Albert to bring it on.

Albert, already being in melee range by this time, simply shrugged and clawed Zodiac's face off really hard.

MORAL OF THE STORY

Having 15 shotguns and dual-wielding katanas is one way to get ahead in life, but it's hard to argue with a claw to the face and a bite to the throat.

SECOND MORAL OF THE STORY

Albert B Rampage, along with darko and Hjallti, win on the behalf of the zambahs! BARHAH!

There should have been one more town role (a Scout that used Free Running to function as a traditional Hider), but I didn't record who was who, said Hider didn't send in a nightaction, so instead of causing a potential mess and a bunch of confusion by having everyone send PMs to me, I simply tossed the role (In retrospect, I should have revealed that Hjallti was a Mafia Tracker. The no power reveal was because you can't really tell if zombies have powers just by killing them, just like in game (You have to scan a zombie or have them talk or act/kill you/someone else to check their profile)). Sorry to the town for the imbalance that caused. IMO, it was town inactivity/Albert owning that put the nail in the coffin. I am also very surprised that Zodiac never outright claimed Trenchcoater.

And yes, the zombies had already won the moment deadline hit and poppin was lynched. But hey, going to Night 4 made for good suspense/endgame scene.

Cop - investigates Darko (irrelevant)
Doc - darko
Vig - Did not send in choice. Random pick of schismatized (another massively bad break against town, this time due to a Random Number Generator)
Mafia - darko kills Jack
Mafia Watcher - No action (Probably caused by confusion. I did explain to the mafia how their abilities could be used, so I dunno)

Day 1:

darko lynched

Night 2:

Doc - protects Albert B Rampage
Vig - kills Gatorguy91
Mafia - kills Oman
Mafia Watcher - Watches Gatorguy (detects Zodiac)

Day 2:

d3sisted modkilled/lynched

Night 3:

Doc - protect Albert B Rampage
Vig - kill Hjallti
Mafia - kill Claus
Mafia Watcher - didn't matter

Day 3:

poppinpuffin lynched

Night 4 (Mafia has already won at this point):

Vig - kill pulsewidth
Mafia - kill Zodiac


Yes, all Claus did was protect mafia. Mostly the unNKable mafia member. Fricken griefer.

Anyways, good game to the mafia, especially Albert B Rampage, and sorry to the town for taking a power role away from them.

ULTIMATE MORAL OF THE STORY: I'm modding a normal next to avoid causing a trillion screwups <_< I did confirm with Albert that it was him that was unNKable and you that had Scent. Guess he didn't confirm that with you or something. I dunno
