I am deeply suspicious of anyone who's agreeing with me early on in the game, especially when I haven't given enough solid reasons for stating whatever they are agreeing with me about. This sort of behaviour is, IMO a scum tactic -- where the scum tries to associate himself/herself with a townie early on in the game.Battle Mage wrote:
i dont like that. you join a wagon, and then as soon as someone else hops on, you leave without a word.pickemgenius wrote:unvote
I find myself substantially in agreement with Sir Tornado about the scum.
If Lawrencelot comes up scum, im almost certain that Gorckat is his scumbuddy.
If Lawrencelot comes up town, id say Pickemgenius is more likely to be scum.
Thadmiral looks either super-scummy, or super-noobish. Id say the latter is more likely at this point. He's not the play for today at least.

WeyounsLastChance clearly had a random vote.gorckat wrote:Sir Tornado's choice of Lawrence for an OMGUS vote intrigues me...the vote order was:
Weyouns Last Chance (hereafter known to me as WLC)
Qman (OMGUS as Sir's random target)
pick (with playful paranoia over a bandwagon)
Lawrence (calling me the jester)
Yogurt (with no comment)
Qman's OMGUS, I can accept
pickemgenius was too blatant about his joining the bandwagon that I knew it was not a serious vote.
The next in line was Lawrencelot. I combined my OMGUS sentiment to the fact that he acted scummy the next two posts (called you a jester, voted for self) and cumulated that with a vote on him.I'm back!- Sir Tornado

That's enough for me. Lawrence is scum. And, as I stated before, gorckat is his most likely scum buddy.Lawrencelot wrote:A claim huh? That won't mean much in this setup. I'll tell you this: I'm Scum or Jester. Up to you to find out.
Let's go lynching already... who does the town want to strike first? Lawrencelot or gorckat?I'm back!- Sir Tornado

No problem.gorckat wrote:Then you would lose. If Lawrence makes it through the night, he is 100% scum and should be treated as such.
If the town must lynch someone today, then hit me and go after Lawrence tomorrow if he lives. I'm not the Jester and it won't lose the game if I hang.
And I'd really like to hear why Thad is also still voting Lawrence. I'm not convinced a Jester wouldn't make that statement (I'm scum or Jester, figure it out). Can someone can cite previous examples? I understand it seemsplausible, but its a testable claim as I've described.

I think Gorckat's logic is wrong. What if they try to reverse the situation with us and not NK the jester, but an innocent townie? Then, the onus to not lose shifts upon us rather than the mafia, and we would grow vary of lynching Lawrencelot.Qman wrote:gorckat wrote:What reasoning? You've made statements, but I haven't seen this thing you call 'reasoning'.
1) Lawrence claimed jester/scum
2) The jester can beat the mafia
3) If Lawrence is alive Day 2, he's no threat to the mafia
4) If Lawrence is alive Day 2, he's scum
That's my basic thought process on the matter. If the scum want to lose, they let a jester live.
I feel like a broken record...
That (Without specifing a person) was the theory i was mulling over in my earlier game.
We have two people we are in general thinking are the jester, the mafia has to try to NK the jester asap so they don't lose, so the rest of your post follows.
If I were scum, my strategy would be to keep the jester alive as long as possible (at least until day 3), because so long as he survives, the scum automatically get protection by doubt.I'm back!- Sir Tornado

I don't get it.WeyounsLastClone wrote:Okay, I think Lawrence and Sir Tornado are the scum. Lawrence per his claim, and Sir Tornado because he tries to seed doubt so we don't lynch Lawrence tomorrow, as he obviously won't be NK'ed tonight.
The only thing I find strange if this is correct, is that Sir Tornado almost got lynched already. But maybe the reason he wasn't lynched while he was close is because the mafia did not vote for their own...
So, I voteSir Tornado.
First you say Lawrencelot and I are scum.
And then you say "But maybe the reason he wasn't lynched while he was close is because the mafia did not vote for their own..."

This is ridiculous. Why would the scum drop the hammer on the first page? That would be a ticket for them to be lynched the next day.WeyounsLastClone wrote:Yes, and you didn't get hammered. No lynch?
And, exactly where does the No-Lynch lead us to?
If we do not lynch anyone today, then what we do on day 2 would be more or less determined by the NK, which the scum controls.
If we lynch someone, we can go on to day 2 based on the identity of the person we have lynched and the NK.
I believe, as I had said somewhere on page 2 that Gorckat and Lawrencelot are the scum, and am willing to take responsibility for either of their lynches (in other words, if they go bad, you can lynch me tomorrow -- no, before anyone asks, I am NOT the Jester)I'm back!- Sir Tornado

I still stick to my day 2 opinion.
Gorckat and Lawrencelot are the scum. I can't believe half the town decided to buy gorckat's No-Lynch yesterday. Can we lynch him or Lawrencelot today please?
Now, here is my questions to those who no-lynched yesterday:
1) Why did you no lynch?
2) Are the reasons you no-lynched yesterday valid today too?
3) If they are, then what was the point in no-lynching yesterday?
This is precisely the reason why I hate no-lynchesI'm back!- Sir Tornado

WLC: I would like to claim.
I am neither Jester nor Scum. If you don't believe me, then lynch me the day after we lynch Gorckat (if the town has not won by then, I may add). I have no problem with that because I believe Lawrencelot is the scum, and when the day ends today, there will be only one scum remaining. So, you might as well start lynching the most suspicious people around (except YB, who I think is Jester). I recommend it start from Gorckat and Me, because we both are the only people who had a vote on us at the end of day 1.
I have absolutely no problem being lynched as long as I get to win the game with the rest of the town.I'm back!- Sir Tornado

The argument which I said makes sense was the one about Lawrencelot not being the jester if he was not lynched the day 1. This has nothing to do with why I think you are scummy:
And, I had said on page 2 (post 28):Lawrencelot wrote:Gorc is the jester. Let's assume this until someone else becomes more Jester-like.
Vote: Sir Tornado
Then, you have a lot of JDodge posts like these:Sir Tornado wrote:Ok, let us get this moving.
As far as I am concerned:
Scum = Lawrencelot and gorckat
Jester = YogurtBandit
The list is subjected to be changed many times in the future.
JDodge wrote:More BS.
Your entire theory revolves around telling the scum what to do. I would not kill Lawrence in that situation if I were scum.
Besides, you can just tell yourself and Lawrence what to do at night anyways, no need to drag it out into the daytime.JDodge wrote:I voted no-lynch because I didn't think gorckat was a good lynch choice.
Now I do.
Vote: gorckatJDodge wrote:
Because it will mess up my strategy, of course.Sir Tornado wrote:
Why not?JDodge wrote:I care not to tell at the moment.
I know you aren't the jester, gorck. Otherwise it would be stupid to be voting you.
He was after you. So, you took him out. Any more obvious?JDodge wrote:Nothing.
But you're making me happier with my vote with every sentence.
And, finally, your own slip:
Now, I would like to draw everyone's attention to my post:gorckat wrote:JDodge-ifI'm town, what does that prove that lynching Lawrence does not?181(day 1) where I said:
Well, that still stands.Sir Tornado wrote:No lynch?

BTW, Battle Mage, even if I am the Admiral, and you lynch me, you can still win. So, if I were a Jester, I would come forward at this moment and say I am a Jester. Lynching Jester right now gives Town the best possible chance of getting the scum.
We are, currently on a LyLo unless we lynch the Jester. If we fail to lynch the scum, or the Jester right now, and the Scum does not NK the jester, then we go into the next day with:
1 Scum
1 Jester
1 Townie.
At that time, the Jester can claim, the scum can lynch him, and he can win the game. But, the game still continues, and the scum can endgame the townie, thus giving victory to the Scum and the Jester.
So, whatever we do, we have to hit either the Scum or the Jester today. However, after my yesterday's work, I don't think I have any right to suspect anyone at the moment...I'm back!- Sir Tornado

I think YB has a lot of explaining to do. Every action he has done so far is without any sort of explanation, while BM has provided explanation for most of his actions in this game. That is why I am inclined to hammer YB at the moment. But, I am not ready to do it yet, so YB, if you are town this would be the time to start providing explanations for your behaviour in this game.I'm back!- Sir Tornado

Damn! I had a sick feeling that I'd chosen wrong (hence the"And I know I probably just lost the game."part in my hammer vote)
I wish YB'd said something in his defence though. How did he hope to convince me BM was scum by just saying"Bm is scum"?
But, I admit, I messed this game up for the town on day 3...I'm back!- Sir Tornado
