Roll dice among all players. first person rolled is in neighbor group 1 along with his other role. Second person rolled is also in neighbor group 1 along with whatever role they already are. Do this 3 times for a total of 3 neighbor groups. Don't think I'll allow a player to be in multiple neighbor groups. I think the mentioned power roles combined with random neighboring should be fairly balanced and interesting in terms of strategies you could organize. Only way traitor gets to talk to and find out who is scum is by luck and doctor could find a good team mate could find out alot about a buddy or a teamate. Just got to figure out if i should allow mafia to be randomly neighbors with mafia. I think they should be allowed should luck make it happen. Afterall is they are together other pairs would likly go to town and that may keep things interesting.
I need any criticism and or snappy titles you can think of

Well its a open setup and yet also a new theme so i was not sure which topic it should go in. As I will likly run it as a marathon one day while using this account I think I will use the name you mentioned Farside

Yes this is pokerface, I have had this account for years. I was the first person to call neighbors as neighbors

I am aware of another player by the name Mister Rogers. I am not aware of why he chose that name for his alt or even what his main account is. Him and I are not the same guy. One day I would like to hydra, co-mod with, or be with this player in the same game as it would confuse people a lot!

10:2 and 9:2 is something I was considering as it would follow Mr. Stoofers simple setup rules. But I don't know if the night talk could will give each side an equal chance of winning

1 mafia traitor (is mafia but can't talk to other mafia at night unless he gets dice lucky)

Nah, I think we are over complicating it now

I'm gonna go 9:2 (going 10:2 results in a no lynch at some point in mylo, lets just skip that waste of time day by making it 9:2)

it will be night talk only in the neighborhood, as allowing daytalk may lessen in game thread talk

Should a player die, should that result in people able to talk to the next house (house 4 dies. 3 and 5 can now talk to each other at night)?

Like how much do you believe that will tip the odds if at all for the town?

Currently leaning towards allowing that

Might be able to reduce neighborhoods by reusing some, creates a cool effect where you can see what the dead talked about in their neighborhood too.

Where did you get those numbers from?

Any roles you think should or could be added to tip the odds without ruining the games purpose?

Actually I think I have the perfect name already :)

Culdasac

9 Town Neighbors
2 Mafia Neighbors

At start of game everyone is assigned a random house number. Player in house 1 is neighbors with player in house 2 and 12. Player in house 2 is neighbors wth player in house 1 and 3. And so on so every player has two people they can talk to at night. Yes it is possible for one mafioso to be neighbors with another mafioso should the dice allow it

Should the friendly get outed earlier there are still means for the town to get confirmeds

Cause of how the setup is open, the moment a mafia is lynched, that guy's neighbor is confirmed town

I think this and the fear of outing the friendly may encourage town players to claim late.

Momentum is gonna be important in the game
