So I got this doubt. With Ultra SF4 just out and Smash 4 just around the corner, I'd like to know who here is an enthusiastic stream monster like I am. I follow almost all of the FGC events in general, as well as most of the smash tournaments.
I've been following FGC since 2011 and Smash since about 2012 and the hours on entertainment have been awesome, plus my interest and skill in Fighting games has grown plenty, though im still shitty lol.
I actually just got into competitive Melee back in April after watching the documentary. Only been to one tourney (got my ass handed to me), but I'm still working at it with my Falco. I'm interested in seeing how much attention Smash 4 will get/how divided streams and tournaments will be with Melee and Smash 4. I'm pretty much expecting Smash 4 to remain relevant for a year or so, then Melee will get back into the spotlight, because a lot of smashers have been saying it's "Brawl 2.0". I don't necessarily agree, but I do think that smashers will be much quicker to dismiss the game than Brawl if it turns out to just be a slightly faster version of it.
I'll probably be playing Smash 4 for a while after it comes out, so if you wanna play sometime let me know (probably only getting Wii U version tbh).

Yes. I will be getting this on DS immediately. My WiiU situation is a little weird since I share it with someone and I may be moving, but yes I will be getting it on that too : P.
I was very very much into competitive Melee for a little while, and want to get into Smash 4 but won't have access to a WiiU until Cabd moves into town. When that happens, I'm sure (I hope) I will be playing a lot!

So smash 4 demo is out, and the whole game is out in Japaneeeeeeee too.
Thoughts on roster? Thoughts on demo?
I personally love the feel the game has. It's like brawl but like brawl should have been, you can combo easily and its just super fun, game feels fast but not ridiculously fast like melee. Liking 2 stocks with 6 minutes as a ruleset.

I don't have a 3DS sadly. I do plan on getting the New 3DS with this game and Xenoblade though. Currently, I'm holding out for the Wii U version because this is the one I'm waiting for more than anything (I want to get this on launch).
Still, I've spent over three years waiting for this game, ever since right before E3 2011. Tons of posts discussing the upcoming game (primarily regarding characters) and I absolutely enjoyed these three years. All that's left to do is to wait for the game.
As for the roster, it's turned out great. Most of the characters are among the most unique and entertaining additions I've ever seen in a Smash game (just look at Rosalina & Luma; puppeteer play style FTW) and words cannot describe how much I am looking forward to playing as Mega Man.
I really want to get Xenoblade someday. Personally, I never cared for Shulk's inclusion much before his confirmation but I do want to get the picture of why people love Shulk so much. I'm going to be getting it along with a New 3DS when it comes out in North America next year.
THIS GAME IS A LOT LESS ABOUT FIGHTING AND A LOT MORE ABOUT NOT HAVING ENOUGH SPACE ON MY SD CARD TO DOWNLOAD AN IMMEDIATE UPDATE THAN I HAD BEEN LED TO BELIEVE
