SK Game - Jump In! (Reveal'd)

I got this idea off of the

GL

and wondered if anyone would be interested in a Mafiascum version. Essentially there is a serial killer who is killing people in the thread. Players post something - anything - in the thread and wait. The SK will either pass them over or kill them. If a player is killed, he can't post in the thread anymore (or if participation drops, can't post for

n

days). The catch is that there is some rule that determines if the SK will kill you or pass you over. The players post in a trial-and-error attempt to figure out the rule. The SK's posts always follow the rule, exempting uses of people's Usernames.


So is anyone interested in playing? (If so, you could just go ahead and post and I guess I'll take it as a yes)

You may post as many times as you like before your death sequence is publicly announced, but if you die in the first post, you won't be told if later posts would have killed you. I'm realizing it's a bit hard, so I'll give you a hint. There are sort of two rules, but... well, I can't explain without giving too much away, so just follow this: if you want to live, make sure your posts have correct grammar and end in a period, question mark, or exclamation mark.

leaps in via a window! His ideas on grammar don't get him very far, however, as he is sniped by the Serial Killer down below.

comes in via the window right after

and is not aware of what happened only a few seconds earlier. He discovers reality a few seconds too late to save himself, however.

has decided to work with a lot of defensive devices in order to get past the Serial Killer. Sadly, fate (or perhaps lack of adhesion to the things a person has to do or not do when posting) had it in mind for this all to immediately fail at the same time, allowing the Serial Killer to walk over and deliver a fatal CHAINSAWING!

Here's another hint for confused people: look over the Serial Killer's posts and try to find something that they all lack. I figured somebody would notice at least this much by now. And one thing: yes, the non-inclusion of people's usernames in the rules was added exactly because of this.

. Sadly, it merely sticks in the front door as his victim gets away.

begins yelling at the top of her voice that the Serial Killer will skip her when she is making herself too big of a target. The Serial Killer is really pissed at this point, and brings a big rifle to the party. Predictably,

flees at the last second, and the shot cracks a nearby window. That alerts

Sir Tornado

to danger, and he too escapes the area with all limbs intact.

begins scampering frantically in the yard, and the Serial Killer spots a perfect chance to finally shoot someone dead. Taking precise aim, he sends a shot right into

yellowbounder

's chest, who has no better death words than 'tea pie.'

Lawrencelot

hears the shot and scrambles over the fence, sparing himself from being killed.

Battle Mage

declares he's irritated by the large exploitation of mimicry by people. Indeed, his participation comes to a startling halt as the Serial Killer whacks him on the head with his rifile before firing a shot into his face.

The Serial Killer doesn't like edits, but I'll still take into account the latest post as I see it.

Mokina

scrambles to cover her fatal mistake, however misses a word that might possibly go in place of 'however.' She and

Mad Jackal

both get shot in the back and fall dead relatively close to each other in the hallway.

decides to challenge fate again by coming back. As he enters the foyer, he yells to the Serial Killer that he is 'owning.' It appears the Serial Killer was prepared this time, as

feels himself being gripped and a blade sliding along his throat.

sacrifices himself for the good of everyone else, and meets a similar fate. And

, coming back again, falls right into the Serial Killer's trapdoor.

has come back, and the Serial Killer fires a shot which misses and hits

No, the rule has not been completely guessed yet, but some folks may be on the right track.

I think I may need to give another hint: look at posts belonging to people who didn't post 'u's but still died, and look for something(s) on a per-sentence basis in the Serial Killer's posts. I might have to just give up and reveal this one, since I think I might have made it a little too hard.

At a second glance, the rule is just way too hard and I don't think it'll be gotten except after a long time and a lot of hints, so here it is:

1) Each sentence must contain at least one occurance of a, e, i, and o, but no occurances of u.
2) In order for that to work, the post must be made of sentences. If something in a post does not fit into a 'sentence,' then that post is disqualified.

I added the second part because I thought too many people would survive (thus making it near impossible to isolate anything) without it, but I was wrong and it appeared to just complicate things. Sorry about it being too hard!
