Is it survival or creative? Allow mode switches or not? Some of the screenshots look like flying.

Pure survival, no creative. Those shots that look like flying, they aren't. Just taken from really tall mountains. Unless ETL or Davroe posted some as scenic shots while they were in OP/Admin mode.

Hey dave! Welcome to MS. Both servers are survival only. As far as separation, people like to keep spawntown (on Vanilla) looking nice, so I usually go out about 100 blocks or so because I'm not a great builder, but there's no firm rule on that, as long as there isn't like, a wooden box in the center of spawntown.

Basic rules for any community apply, really, just don't be a jerk (i.e. no griefing, stealing, building in other people's property, etc.)

For modded, same basic rules, but nothing really about spawn. We all go out on our own pretty much and visit each other from time to time

Thanks, it worked but I hit a snag. I knew the internet connection in China was bad, but didn't know it was this bad -- keeps disconnecting all the time . Guess I'll have to try when I get home.

FYI: community farm is not exactly mob proof at the moment. Creeper snuck up on me by the melons and pumpkins. I don't have the stuff on me to fix it just needs a couple dirt and acacia slabs is all.
