Me and my friends played Nosgoth for a while a month or two ago but kinda fizzled out on it partially because there are a ton of great f2p games out and partially because we will never escape DotA's grasp. What part of the game did you work on, Axxle?

So I love super complex games and have always been curious about KSP - but how much of the game is experimenting with weird stuff and how much is just copying builds from guides and stuff?

There are probably some pretty good beginner's guides on ck2wiki - if you let that walk you through a game for a while you'll get a pretty good understanding of the different systems.

If you really like the combat in X-com then you will really like it. It spaces out story/science progress and stuff for the sake of having more battles. For that reason I didn't really dig it because I prefer the strategic scale stuff.
literally every overhyped triple AAA game in the past 5-10 years, your point?
I'm going to assume you didn't actually mean literally because there have been plenty of "overhyped" games in the past 5-10 years that were at least a solid buy at $60 and delivered on what they promised (if not the promise built up by communities/fanboys).
It seems like there was a serious issue with the communication of what Destiny was described as being before it came out and what it actually ended up being. That, combined with the pseudo-embargo on reviews until after launch kinda rubs me the wrong way.

HotS looks like it could replace my get drunk and fuck around mobas (strife, smite, league, etc.) but it just doesn't seem to have that depth required to be able to put thousands of hours in. Looks fun though

Has anyone checked out Hex TCG? It was kickstarted last year and just entered open beta. It was designed by people who worked on WoW trading card game and some others. It's a lot closer to MTG than hearthstone with emphasis on drafting. Not much in the way of playing against AI.

Bummer. It's unfortunately a reality with mobos that they can ship DOA. I've had that happen on a few ASUS boards that otherwise performed excellently and I've got an Asrock in my PC at home that I never had trouble with. Is Newegg replacing it?
It blows my mind that Fata1ity has all these licensed computer components now - all I can associate him with is "Don't eat like a noob, eat Gamer Fuel!"
