So I love super complex games and have always been curious about KSP - but how much of the game is experimenting with weird stuff and how much is just copying builds from guides and stuff?-

That depends on whether or not you use guides. If you wanted, you could download mechjeb+a rocket capable of going anywhere, tell mechjeb to fly it there*, and it would go there. Alternatively, you could not download KSP and get a similar experience.
Whether or not you use guides is up to you. I would recommend using the following:
The ingame tutorials. (I think they've been updated as of .24 and are now even more helpful)
Wikipedia's pages on rocket science/orbital mechanics**
*I think. I've never actually used mechjeb but I hear it does everything for you.
**Most of those things you can figure out on your own and it feels much better than if you looked them up (For example, I discovered bi-elliptic transfers on the way back from the mun when I didn't have the fuel for a hohmann transfer and it was glorious), but some things you should know going in, for example, the tsiolkovsky rocket equation. (Not that you'll necessarily be plugging in numbers, but it helps to have an idea of what affects your delta-v in what way)Who said that?
Chamber. It's all a conspiracy.
Or is it?6-

you guys are too smart for me. I just add thrusters and bracers till the ducid thing flies. Which is the fun part. i vastly prefer the designing to the piloting.
I think the first time i landed on mun i had 16 solid fuel boosters. With 8 firing in the first stage.
And i have no idea what those words you guys are saying mean. But i made it to the mun and back. yay me. might start playing again in which case i may ask for science-y helpAs the king of all cosmos remarked "is it really fun? or that it let's you forget yourself?"

I saw that bundle, from what I've heard they're basically all glorified hidden-object games though
I got Abyss from some other bundle anywaysShowEver wanted a playlist full of a lot of music I really dig? Here you go.

Fallout 2 is my default recommendation, but 1 is fantastic too. 3 is good but very different and doesn't have the same soul as the first two.-

New Vegas is good too - I wouldn't fuck with the spin-off games aside from that.-

If it's coming in the near future it may be a bad sign they're not showing the game though.-

Fallout 1 is amazing; it's one of the best RPGs ever, IMHO.
Fallout 2 is a little weirder; the gameplay is improved, but the story is a bit more tongue in cheek, introduces a lot of the weirder elements of the franchise, and has the worst tutorial section ever.
Fallout 3 is something of a dividing line in the fandom; it's very different from the first two in story and playstyle- I think the gameplay is fine (though it's basically Oblivion with guns), but the story is the weakest of the series.
Fallout: New Vegas is great; it's an improvement on Fallout 3's gameplay and has a much improved story line- as an RPG, I'd say it's second in the series, behind only the original.
The spinoff games you shouldn't really bother with at all.One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.-
