I'm planning to play a fair bit this weekend on vanilla - and probably ongoingly in a sporadic sort of way if the server hangs around. I might convert to modded, but it seems a lot of effort to learn a new game - it would only be because that's where other people play

Not sure tbh. It just broke. Going to update to latest stable version (2.1.8 I believe). A lot of bugs were fixed. Update means a restart. The AS world as it is now is unplayable. I can upload the last stable backup for you to have if you want but it will likely break again.
(Main modded server is still going strong.

There was a crash report on the AS server that indicated an AA/lever were causing a ticking error. I was unable to get close enough to remove them manually, and I don't know how to use MCedit. However, forge.cfg offers an option to remove these items immediately rather than crashing the server. Here is what is there now:
I believe there was an AA/lever there in that empty spot, yes? I've put replacements in the closest chest. <3
