Yes. It's often a desperate scum ploy, as if to say, "Oh! Look! I'll dramatically sacrifice myself for the good of the town!"

Sometimes it's also the play of a frustrated townie who is under a lot of pressure he/she feels he doesn't deserve.

Sometimes it's a scum faking the above.

Sometimes it's chaotic_diablo.

didn't like what panzer did when the pressure was off him, and so my vote stays where it's at.

Well, first he OMGUS voted me in the same post that he accused John of OMGUS voting, then said he didn't need to explain himself, then went on to explain himself, then took his vote off of me because the town needed to "get serious." Then he kind of laid low for the rest of the day and said that he didn't care about Day 1 because it was stupid and he wanted to live in order to get to the real action, thus abdicating himself of responsibility for anything that occurred Day 1. It looks to me like early-game scum fishing for an acceptable strategy.

I'm not certain panzer is scum anymore. I still think his activity is scummy and he merits consideration, but it would be kind of unfair for LB to only modkill the town player were there town and scum involved. At least, I hope.

Acting on the assumption that panzer and I are both town, then it's possible the scum are just allowing us to go at each other without pursuing other possibilities.

On that vein, I think that if panzer isn't scum, I'm looking primarily at Simenon, IH, and Skruffs.

TCS: I'm pretty sure the mod is neutral. John was killed for talking twice. Panzer was warned for talking once. It has no reflection on their alignment. You're reaching.
That's not the cornerstone of my argument. I'm not letting PJ off the hook. But I think we should explore other options just in case panzer isn't scum.

I had a long weekend away. I don't think Skruffs is scum at all. His play is pretty consistent with Skruffs playing bored, ergo aggressive townie. I think Mustafa is town as well, because his vote for Skruffs is at least legitimate. Panzer's vote for Skruffs, on the other hand, looks scummy as hell. I think it fits with the typical scumplay of FOSing a partner and voting a townie.

I'm thinking panzer/simenonscum at the very least. I don't buy the case on SV yet, but IGMEOY anyway.

So for the moment, if I am voting,
unvote
and
vote: Simenon
. If he's scum, I put panzer's likelihood of being scum at about 80%.
