So... erm... you confused Panzer with John, thinking spectrumvoid had put Panzer at lynch -1, so you asked John to claim, thinking

he

was at lynch -1, and you were also confused by Newbie 313, although neither John or Panzer is in that game, and you actually don't want anybody to claim at all. Is this right?

I confused john with specrumvoid, in a game that I had just posted in, and asked him to claim under the assumption that he was at -1. Obviously, I don't want him to claim anymore.

Mistakes, however careless are not scummy. Do you really think I welcome all of this attention?

I'll clarify my last post, it's probably unclear due to a lost post. I posted sometime before the crash saying the reason why I wasn't not voting John was because I felt that for John to be scum, panzer had to be scum first. Then I made a post attempting to show that panzer didn't have to be scum for John to be scum. Then after the crash I unvoted.

I'll vouch that I'm in another newbie with Simenon that probably led to the mistake. However, I find it unlikely that Simenon might have mixed the 2 games up.

I agree that mistakes are not necessarily scummy, and the only reason this still has my attention is your inconsistency in explaining the mistake. First off (Post 148) you say you confused Panzer with john. Then (Post 151) you say you confused this game with newbie 313, where you also asked spectrumvoid to claim (although in this game you did not ask her to claim), and then (Post 153) that you confused spectrumvoid with john. So, finally, what you're saying is you confused john (in this game) with spectrumvoid (in another game, not containing john), and that Panzer had nothing to do with it at all?

This all seems terribly muddled, and not very convincing, and as I said, it's this that makes me suspicious, not the fact of making a mistake. A simple mistake could happen to anyone but if it were genuine you'd expect there to be a simple explanation.

I think I believe him. I can see how he might be thinking about a game he was playing, and then go to the wrong game because he was tired/rushed/being stupid.

also, it has been over a month since this day started, so i am now imposing a deadline of one week... this is of course retractable, but it would require at least 7 players PMing me to retract the deadline... remember this rule

Well, in my head, that makes me less scummy because scum try much harder not to ake mistakes over and over again. he may have made one mistake, but hes been kinda nonchalant since.

Responding to prod, I'm still on board for a panzerscum lynch.

I like to replace games. I tend to get lynched day one, otherwise; replacing day two or three avoids that glitch in my play style.

We're at deadline and I haven't had a chance to read up.

One think I did pick through from skimming the last page or two is that John and someone else know each other real life, (Panzerjager?) and that real life friendships are affecting game play. This is understandable, and I hope that both players know that if the other player is scum, in the game, they will completely use that friendship to get ahead, and so people have to be MORE wary of their friends in this game.

Don't know if it's what you're referring to but I raised the possibility of Panzer baiting john in post 141. Nobody showed any interest in the idea so I more or less forgot about it.
