We have been in an internetless hell since this morning...now I'm stuck using dial-up for at least a week -- because I work at home, online time during the day will be seriously reduced as it will tie up the phone. You did NOT want to be an SBC operator today...(am missing mchsi & their exorbitant fees already)!

Your stories put me in mind of my childhood in Florida! Good times. And I'm serious. I remember the no-electricity for a week (cooking eggs on the charcoal grill, etc.), walking to the grocery store because there was no gas, and floating on a raft down our dirt road as a thrilling adventure. I doubt my parents do, though.

Look -- people have to take a step back and/or drop out of the site all of the time and I've never seen

abused for it when they've simply said "sorry guys -- I can't do this right now." There is simply no foundation for a belief that he'd get a poor reaction if he simply treated us with respect and gave us the chance to say "come back when you can." He's been here long enough to know how bighearted this community is and I'm just floored that he's choosing to pretend it's otherwise.

I know I'm kind of emotional right now (I mean -- ARAS WON)...but still. If I ever get to the point that I take someone choosing to end a relationship with me as a matter of course (and, yes, I do believe that this site fosters true relationships), I may as well drop out of the human race altogether.

My computer has crashed. We have two, so I can still connect, but the data loss is devastating. Mafiawise, it includes all my notes -- for games I'm playing AND modding.

Like I said, I can still play/mod but forgive me if I'm not up to par for a while. I know -- I'm an idiot for not backing up in the last 16 months. Always seemed like a bad time to
