Vita can't play the first game, 999, and you really should play it as well as VLR for the complete experience. I'm replaying 999 right now and it's still fantastic.
I'm gonna be replaying 999 tomorrow (or at least some of it) since I won't have computer access most of the day and it's been too long since I played it
But yeah 999 is still fantastic, easily better than VLR though both are great games
I've already played 999 and watched esurio play it, I think I've played it enough that I don't need to go through it again. But I'm getting VLR once I'm not-broke (and/or Fire Emblem). I do have a huge number of games to play already though (ALBW, Pokemon Y, Animal Crossing, and Tales of Xillia on the PS3), so I might put the 3DS games off.

Ended up grabbing the Zelda bundle, so I get Link Between Worlds with the DS itself. Probably going to pick up Luigi's Mansion and Fire Emblem this weekend.

Shame that the entire front page is stuff I don't care much about.
Then again that was basically this entire sale. I spent more on Humble Store than I did on steam sales.
Playing as Shadow? Frustratingly tedious. Nothing but button mashing. He runs slower, attacks slower, and his vehicles are unusable.
Playing as Silver? Fucking Impossible. Seriously. Between the 'ball puzzle' that I never truly completed, and the boss battle where I couldn't even see my character, I'm surprised I completed the storyline.
Final mission? FUCK, it is TERRIBLE. You can't even imagine the pain. It's 7 quick levels in rapid succession, and each one is less than a minute long, but I died so many times-- suffered 3 game-overs (15+ deaths). But I finally did it.
Sooo... yay?

from what little I've heard the PC port of dark souls is awful actually
and yeah sonic 06 isn't even amusingly bad, it just goes past that point to being a miserable experience, but funny as hell to watch other people try to attempt at least
