I'm trying to decide if I think a massclaim is a good idea or not. Had the night not gone as well, I would have immediately advocated one. As things are now, I'm not sure we should be doing it today.

Do you mean you were trying to decide whether it's a good idea for town or a good idea for mafia (you?)? Perhaps you'd concluded it would be good for mafia and were seeing if people would go for it?

Well if we mislynch, it's 3-1-1, and if two townies die overnight, we'll find ourselves in a Prisoner's Dilemma. So it's a very real possibility that we still have to lynch correctly from here on out.

Uh, I just realized one major problem with the whole "Fos now, vote later" strategy. In the original game, all we had to do was wait until about 5 minutes until the deadline to vote.

There is no set deadline for this game.

The odds of scums killing each other are not high.

It's 25% that one kills the other, and 1/16 that they both kill each other... and this is, of course, assuming no interference from a Roleblocker or Doctor.

Eh that's still quite high imo. Especially when you consider that 50-33 is only 17.


@bhny: fos strategy wasn't a problem even without deadline. The reason for fos is because of simulposts.

Okay, I really wasn't paying attention to the FoS strategy in the previous game. After all, I was the target for most of D1 to begin with.

Also, the criminal Insanity comment was in response to Atticus unvoting then voting for 3 separate people. To be honest, I had no idea what to make of it.

The other reason I want a claim is that if Atticus happens to claim something significant/relevant, we need time to discuss that claim, decide whether we're okay with it, and if necessary move on to the next big thing.

Maybe instead of massclaim we ask someone to claim when when they get enough fos? That makes sense. i'd like atticus and bhny claims.
