If I could get I server up, and maybe a private FTB pack, would anyone be interested in some PvP games using Tinkers Construct with the "no vanilla tools" option turned on, and maybe just a few small other mods? I think it would make a really interesting game, especially in a decently large world.

They really don't do much damage without a good amount of quartz though. Also, Tinkers will have armour very soon, which may well help rebalance that.

Quick announcement: My server is currently open to all who want to join me. I'm using a modpack from the ATLauncher called Magicality. It features 1.6.4 mods like TC4, Ars Magica 2, and Magical Crops as well as a few others that we all know and love. It will NOT be open 24/7, as people want to play the vanilla server too. I'll likely try to balance the two; however, please note that this is a NON Tech mod, meaning no IC2, no Buildcraft, Forestry or anything of the sort.

For the skeptics. Ars Magica 2 is nothing like it used to be and is far more balanced. The mobs are not impossible anymore and there isn't much worldgen at all.
So, the option is there and I'd love to play with some people.

this launcher is similar to FTB; just a lot more user friendly imo.
Simply download the launcher, Select the "packs" tab, scroll down to "Magicality" and select "New Instance." It will probably direct you to one or two mods' download pages that are client sided (if you want them) and then simply enter my ip like you normally would at the respective screen. 64.237.34.250:41306

also, I highly recommend checking out some of the packs in the ATLauncher.
pack.CraftIt() is pretty interesting, and I might check that out eventually.
If you run on a potato, I'd steer clear of the "Overload" pack, as it contains 165 mods, BUT IS SO MUCH FUN......

He's had his server open and on pure vanilla for about a week now. He originally opened it for me and one of our friends, but everyone is welcome to join in, just don't build anywhere near or friends project. She has it all mapped out in her head.
