Instead of using "Cogito Ergo Sumwrote:", you can also do {quote="Cogito Ergo Sum"}{/quote}(with []s instead of {}s, obv.)
I have no particular problem with your vote on me. I'm just probing. ButFoS: Venkmanfor misquoting me. I said please.
Also, if you were to vote Caddock now, that would be the first vote on me, not that 2 votes is bad. At this stage in the game, we need to create some pressure, get something going to incite discussion. A small wagon serves that purpose while not being detrimental to the town. You should be careful with third votes, not so with second votes. (Although there are some who would disagree with me on that last point.)Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

I believe in the power of bandwagons. I like to use my vote fully and I certainly don't mind putting some pressure on GreenLiquid. He can take it.Nocmen wrote:Cogito...why did you switch all of a sudden? It seems very suspicious to me, especially when you are trying to bandwagon on my random vote.
This post does show a pro-town mindset, I would think.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. What gives you that idea?Nocmen wrote:Bandwagons for the scum it sounds from your post.

A good town doesn't let bandwagons turn into easy lynches. And a second vote is never to going to lynch anyone.
I'm not sure what you mean by the last question. If I were scum, I would also bandwagon, yes. Because I try to act the same way as scum as I do as town. I always bandwagon.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

I would not describe my play so far as defensive. I've simply tried to explain my actions fully because it's my playstyle and I can understand that people who don't know me may find it suspicious.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

[quote="Peter Venkman"]CES has been absent since I put the heat on him. I'm curious if this is because of real life commitment, or because he felt his own defense was only making things worse and he wanted to lie low.[quote]

Unvote, vote: remussaidow
Venkman, Eldarion and Nocmen are looking somewhat pro-town so far, I would think. GreenLiquid I'm not sure of, Caddock has yet to post(but the thread hasn't been up that long, so that's natural. Remus' posts have not demonstrated a pro-town mindset.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

Being fallible sucks.
The scum need two mislynches to win, not one. A quicklynch might be a good short term move, but it's a really bad long term move. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if noone was even on during that 50 minute window.Peter Venkman wrote:Why wasn't Remu lynched??Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

A third vote, though certainly somewhat risky, is not and never will be a lynch. And I don't think there's a newbie in this game that would make such a silly mistake(apart perhaps from newbie scum, but that would be helpful.)

Theoretically, the Mafia could kill a Mafiate at Night, although considering it is in this setup always a bad move, for all intents and purposes they can only kill good guys.
Also, considering it's "Newbie" Day, I will, in the grandest tradition of International Mafia Day Month, compliment Nocmen, Eldarion and Peter Venkman's play. (You can be a bit paranoid at times though, Peter.) It is of a higher quality than I encounter in most newbie games.
Now a ranger, I think you need to put some more thoughts into your posts. Don't be afraid to ask!Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

GreenLiquid was the actually the only one who really knows my playstyle in this game and who, as such, did not find me really suspicious, apart from the accidental third vote. This is pretty much how I play. I feel it works for me.
And for your information, my first post Today was devoid of game-related comments because I was somewhat tired. It was 10:42 pm for me and I just needed to get that out there because I've seen townies throw away games because they didn't realize the dangers of voting so soon in such a situation.Scumchat is awesome. In a way, I suppose. But I'm just letting you know where I stand and currently I don't have strong suspicions and I don't really think anyone is town. My pool of suspects has sadly not diminished since the start of the game.Nocmen wrote:You know...thats every player besides yourself that you just accused there.
Craplogic? You're going to have to back up that allegation.Nocmen wrote:CES: As Peter pointed out, all I have seen from you during this game is a series of accusations, some based on crap logic, one of which seemed to randomly put a person at lyn-1 early on in the game.
Anger, aye? Don't worry about me, that sort of stuff doesn't bother me, but that does sound pro-town. I'm going have to re-read your posts and see whether I get a sincere anger vibe. That would mostly definitely be helpful.Peter Venkman wrote:CES> I re-read my post and realized it could be read with an angry tone. I'm sorry, and didn't mean it that way. If you can't tell, I'm really into this game. I really want to win and am upset by the mislynch.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

Hey, Nocmen, no fishing. Scum certainly could've decided not to kill someone because theremightbe a doc.
Peter, you would've been the likeliest target if I were scum, yes. I'm not though. Considering your suspicion of me, GreenLiquid was the most logical nightkill for the real scum group.
Also, Nocmen, doctors can't self-protect.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

I'm just being honest. I would've killed Peter. This is true. I don't expect you to believe it. Furthermore, I know people never believe this type of argument, so I'm gonna throw in a common sense argument too. Killing Peter would remove a vocal opponent. Killing GreenLiquid gives me very little, but a weak WIFOM argument that noone ever takes seriously because they're afraid to get screwed over by nightkill analysis.
I made the same argument in my first newbie. It was true then and it's true now.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

Got your hand caught in the cookie jar, Nocmen?
I have no problem with your suspicion of Remus, I just found it surprising.Peter Venkman wrote:In addition, why are you distracting us with non-arguments? Of all the things you could be talking about right now, you choose to nitpick me arriving at a fairly obvious conclusion that you also arrived at.
Well, it is more important. That doesn't mean it didn't constitute a major shift in your thinking.Peter Venkman wrote:If you had read my entire post, you would still see I have a heavy FoS on you. However, I feel it is more important to analyise the first day 2 vote and lack of lynch.
My suspects, as I already stated, are currently Romulus and Nocmen. Which post(s) would you like analysed? If you insist, I'll take a shot at it.Peter Venkman wrote:Would you like to actually help the town once this game? Would you like to maybe analyise some posts? Give us your oppinion? List your suspects?Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

Well played.
I am noticing that I'm bad at reading people who are attacking me. I should work on that.
I did have a fleeting suspicion it was Nocmen + Peter after Nocmen's vote and the ensuing discussion, but in the end Remus and Nocmen just made more sense as scum.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!
