The question is was DCL protecting someone or targeted, Just looked back through his ISO its not clear to me if he was leaning heavily town on anyone enough to protect them. What does stand out is of course his suspicion of Kid and push for the lynch. That said, that in itself could very well be be a misdirect to focus attention onto Kid.

Things changed, but all of them favour the Kid A lynch.

1) NTP didn't push very hard for the lynch to go onto Kid A instead, he just defended himself. That looks to me as if both of the major wagons were scum.
2) DCLXVI died. In general, town logic would be to look at the people not on the wagon on scum to scumhunt (which would be wrong, because I suspect both of the other scum were on the NTP wagon), and yet he died on the Kid A wagon. In terms of killing momentum for the Kid A wagon, that was the best decision; he was pushing harder than Yesiree, but unlike me or Bub, wouldn't necessary draw increased attention to the Kid A wagon.
3) Targeting DCL suggests that scum don't want to narrow down the choices on the NTP wagon, which again suggests that the scum were on there.

Also, if Kid A was town, the logical thing to do would be to kill me or bub, which would cause the other to push harder onto Kid A than a pregnant woman and 100% cause him to get lynched.
Works even if one of us is scum.

So yeah, Kid A for today. I also am getting a townread on Mutley, based on meta from previous games. He's still dumber than my aunt Nancy though.

Chainsawed NTP basically the whole day by attacking his wagon with no decent reasoning (just saying he's been scumhunting is shit when he didn't provide any evidence and scumhunting is something that can be fairly easily faked by scum) and not pushing the wagon he was on instead (the only reason he was on the Kid A wagon in the first place was because he was sheeping RC).

RC is kinda guilty of the same stuff but to a lesser degree since he had original reasoning for wagoning Kid A. However I really don't like his hard-headedness into this new day and wish he'd rethink his Kid A read.

I'm pretty sure Kid A was a counter-wagon so scum would have been pushing it hard. Bub is the person who seems to fit the bill here. yesiree would be my second guess. However, if scum had been bussing instead then it was most likely Smudger, who could have been unsure of whether or not to bus which is why he waited so long to hammer (but I'm not as sure of this theory). Mutely being scum might not be unlikely either.

PEDIT: I diasgree with that NK analysis, actually. Either DCL was protecting a townier player and ended up dying instead, or they killed DCL over a townier player in case of protection on the townier player. I don't see killing either of you as a particularly good strategy because both of you could easily then have a case made on you the next day (saying this from the perspective that you're both town, though I think that's unlikely considering I'm thinking Bub is scum) because of your chainsaw defending of NTP.

A Bodyguard is a role who can target a player at Night to protect them. However, if the protected player is supposed to be killed, the Bodyguard is killed instead ("taking the bullet" for them, as it were).
