Sorry for lack of posts these past few days, not getting any e-mails about new posts, so I completely forgot about the game.

Anyway, one thing that caught my eye (which was ignored by everyone else) was the fact that Akbar posted a 3rd vote on LB. In my experience, 3rd vote on first day = trouble.
An unvote soon fixed the problem, but he sure drew attention from me.

Hey, you with the Middle-eastern- sounding user-name, I'm watching you!

Ok, this game needs a pick-up, I'm dying of boredom here.

I'll vote for everyone, and unvote only when (and if) they manage to defend themselves.

Scruffs, I just read your posting history, and couldn't find anything worth mentioning, except maybe your ignorance of the appearance of major cultural icons (Harry Potter does not count).

Redeem yourself by quoting some Betles lyrics, or something.

Unvote

It's not really fair to go after the newb, but your posts are very problematic. You vehemently defend yourself against no one in particular, and such defensive tactics from a newbie seem suspicious enough.
Explain yourself, though, and I'll unvote (saying "I'm vanilla" isn't an explanation, it's an evasion).

Akbar, please read my vote on him, followed by a thorough read of hs posts.

He convinced me that there was nothing to go by based on his posts, and just because he's an excellant scummer, with character, does not mean scum.
Active play should be rewarded, not discoureged.

On that note,
Vote Akbar
;
even if we disregard his 3rd vote, he has a slight tendancy to place quick votes without a good base, in what may be an attempt to start a wagon. Could be just his game style, but it should not go unnoticed.

Ak', what say ye?

Not that convinced either way, this is just a method to "get the ball rolling", as the game seemed to stall.
Unfortunately, at this stage, I have no real vibes about anyone, and since this is my first non-newbie game, I'm still feeling my way.

Any contribution on your part regarding your methods and/or insights you have on other players will help the process.

I actually joined the site after I read the wiki on mafia, referencing this site. Someone from another forum linked it, after suggesting a similar type game.

But we're derailing the game, and I'd hate to be scolded by S.J.

Not only hammers are suspicios, but also hammer - 1: two scums can vote one after the other. Three consecutive scum votes are less likely, though.

DAS, in answer to your question, this was the reason for my vote on wicked.
Seems like using wit so as not having to rely on logic. A bit problematic, from my perspective.
wicked wrote:oops my bad,
unvote unvote, vote massive

hmmm seems only a scumster would want to make sure the vote count is right.....

One more thing: as much scrutiny as I gave the voting order yesterday, in the final hours, I believe it didn't matter.

Why? since we all saw that massive is causing more damage than good, even as a doctor (complete lack of participation is bad in every way, since if you don't do anything, your power-role is meaningless, it's just a fancy title).
We warned him in advance. Still, he was unresponsive. He left us only with one choice. Seven of us saw that and voted him. Simple as that.

If you wish to argue: "you say that the order was unimportant because you were lynch-1", that's ok.
I only ask to back up your argument with something else as well.

That may be your style, but your reply alarmed me greatly, since I thought at the time that we are on heading to a super quick-lynch, and wanted to avoid that.

In retrospect, the post doesn't seem suspicous, if one knows that it takes 7 to lynch, and not be under the false notion, carried over from too many newb games, that that number is 4 (see post 175).

DAS, what is your reason for choosing to be a silent observer of the doctor speed-lynch?

To elucidate my question: was it deliberate, since you thought he wasn't scum, or for some other reason?

On a side note, CS just revealved to us he is a vanilla, since any other role would require participation in nights, something he cannot delegate, I believe.

the fact that LB is trying to convinvce us that Skruffs is scum makes him look much scummier to me.
He hasn't voted for him to avoid casting suspicion on himself, but tries to get us to do his dirty job for him.

LB, please vote for him or raise more valid points regarding Skruffs' scumminess than "i know it", as the current situation does not put you in a favourable position.

Although I believe Skruffs' claim, I think we should act with extreme caution.

The four he indicated feel they have nothing to lose, and so go all out in an effort to prove their innocence.
I'm not saying CS isn't vig, I just don't know at this point, but we should do all reasoning before jumping into a kill-frenzy which will result in town losing the game.
