tierce and I built a road. feel free to connect your homes to the road. the road is from my home, to the river near rhino, then veers off, going around the end of river near m and Dav's keep, then to tierce's home.

I was thinking that maybe rhino could build a bridge across the river to connect to the road.

I snuck on the server for about a half hour this morning before heading off to work . I saw your road I really like the path you guys took <3. I'll find a way to connect to it. I like bridges so that sounds like a great idea. I'll have to see how my little riverside compound develops before finding the best spot. I just want to maintain boat access on the river from my house to the sea.

So I have begun settling in the awesome cove under the mountain near spawn (just under dav and M's castle). My first mining shaft netted me 6 diamonds and 2 emeralds before I even began doing any digging

I really like my little corner by the edge of the taiga. It's to the west of spawn, by the sea, where taiga meets extreme hills (which aren't so much hills as a really nice meadow right in front of my place). The only things above ground are my glass ceiling, the door and the animal enclosure.

There's something wrong with my enclosure, and I can't figure out what. Occasionally, an animal will wander out, but everything is closed in and I'm sure that no one is opening the gate. There are no blocks on the inside that might be causing this. It didn't bother me much (hey, you're out here, might as well slaughter you! 8D) until what was then my only light gray sheep escaped. It was a pain to get it back.

Sprinting is rather buggy.

If anyone wants birch, I planted a lot of it a hill between my house and Dav/M's. Just be sure to re-plant in the same amount, and you're welcome to the rest of the saplings.

I'll check it out when I log on later and see if I can't figure some way to keep that from happening. If all else fails, dye more sheep x)

There's something wrong with my enclosure, and I can't figure out what.

I know in the past there was a bug where if too many animals were inside a fenced in structure they would start to stack on top of each other and sometimes escape - we had animal

instead of pens on the last server for that very reason - but I thought that bug was supposed to be fixed by now..

Yay glad to see you back on a server again welcome back! You aren't very far from me and tierce if you're underneath M and dav. Nice find on the diamonds and emeralds. I dug a mine and the first ore I found was an emerald. I've found 2 so far and some iron and gold, but no diamond yet.


Oh M and dav have horses already . I'm jealous.... I really wanted to call in a sick day and just play minecraft all day today . Its hard relearning how to play vanilla after playing FTB for so long.

OK, so my mission tonight will be to find a horse. Do they spawn close by our settlement?

I think the closest we found was like
x- 48
z- -1100 or something like that.

no. I went real far. -800 -1800 for my horse.

then I found some more for dav/m at 40 -950


notes: Horses CAN'T swim with you on them, so don't dunk them in deep water. They also suck in forests/jungles.

bring 30+ sugar. feed to horse before right clicking (with empty hand) to ride it. once you succeed, press e then equip saddle on horse. just walk normally to move horse while you're riding it. (vrooom)

hold space until the bar hits green/red the release to jump. my horse can jump 3 blocks up and 5 blocks forward. I've read that horses vary between 1.5 up to 5 up, and 3 forward to 12 forward. hope you get a good horse, lol.

they can also be armored. their health also varies. mine has 14, m has 11.

well wiki says horses go up to 15 hearts, and also you can breed your horses and the foals can have better stats

What is the sugar for?

oh for easier taming. Maybe I'd rather fall off the horse a few times

trying to ride it without feeding it apparently doesn't work for some reason
