Wow, one innocuous comment seems to have been pounced on like a baby bird out of the nest.

Being that he's new here, I don't think Angus understood the joke behind the comment. I haven't been on site in months due to real life issues. I don't know if he's also relatively new to the game of mafia though, as his seemingly conflicted reason for voting would indicate.

They're right man, either you random voted me *or* you had a reason. You just can't say both. If you're random voting, well there's nothing I can say about that, but typically if you have a reason to vote someone, it should be a reason you are ready to back up.

If no one buys your reasoning, you have to be prepared for the bandwagon to roll backwards and over you, instead of the person you voted for.

Oh, and just for discussion sake, I have never heard of a scum claiming ignorance of how to play in order to lurk. I've heard them claim to have no opinion on what is being discussed, they've claimed general confusion, indecision, even concensus with the rest of the group (and in Baby Jesus's case, even boredom), but not ignorance of rules.

After reading Zindaras's post, it feels like he is scum and saw an easy townie kill in the semi-meltdown of Angus. I see him committing 2 scumtells in one post. One is telling us that CDB is Angus's scumbuddy (its WAY too early in the game to make that kind of statement, and besides, CDB is an experienced player who I don't think would risk his neck for a scumbuddy) and then to follow that up with "but I'll be looking for bandwagonners"????? So you feel he is scum, but *just in case he's not* you'll be watching to see who votes him. I don't buy it. If I had to make a guess off hand, I would say that you are scum and that you *may* have outed CDB as your partner, by trying to get him cleared for backing up a townie that you are currently running up.

@Jack- Oh, so you meant he was hinting at a power role, not that he was claiming pro-town. Even that is a misnomer. He might just have flavor or something that he feels is strong enough to clear him somewhat.

EBWODP- On a side note, I found it slightly amusing that after we are all told that someone is "watching" bandwaggoners, a bandwagon develops. LOL.

1. So we have stalling who is "voting his gut" and feels that he is 80% sure Twito is scum.

2. We also have CDB who has played with Twito previously and claims that the incident which led Stalling to Twito (an alleged accusation of lurking).

Anyone want to add any more observations to the list?

Its also scummy to keep saying "I think so and so is scum because he did _______. and Scum do ________ as a delaying/misdirection tactic." Congratulations you guys have turned this into WIFOM 101. Scum do EVERYTHING as a tactic. They vote with the town, they vote against the town, they defend townies, they defend scum, they persecute townies, they persecute scum, they lurk, they post prolificly, etc. The only things that can really count as scummy are irregularities. If, for instance, you notice on day one that player x was harping on and on about lurking and then on day 3 they're only posting when directly spoken to, that is an irregularity and something I would call scummy. If you read through a game in which player y was townie and kept leading the town, and then you notice that here they are being more of a follower, that may be scummy. I don't have enough info to really call anyone scummy at this point. I'm just calling attention to lapses in logic or reasoning.

As far as I can piece together between naps while viewing the Jack vs Zindaras argument, the complaint is that...

1. A lurker (Coron) was voted and no FOSes were distributed amongst the other lurkers.

2. When the voted lurker made a contentless post (I'll come back and post content later), the voter should have unvoted and moved on to the next lurker.

3. The voter disagrees, claiming that he is waiting for a post with content before he moves on to the next lurker.

4. Somehow my post (scum use anything to stay alive and only irregularities in playstyle and reasoning are useful scumtells) is dragged into it and becomes the reason for the OMGUS vote.

Did I miss anything?

I guess. I'm just used to Puzzle, Axelrod, carrion pigoens, etc on salvation. They actually quote or link every freaking post. Can be quite annoying but it stops the whole "hey you're taking me out of context" complaint.

As long as we're not under imminent deadline, we should be using as much time to discuss what is going on in the game as possible. Even if its just discussing who we think is scummy and why, it will matter in the late game.

@Katy- just say what you think, a lot has been discussed, so as long as you're not just barning someone completely, we'll at least have something to go on.

With that said, I think Katy's life in this game is in her own hands now. If she complies and posts opinions, we have something to discuss and I'll probably drop my vote on Masterchief, if not, I'll be voting her.

I have to agree. It wasn't like we just mentioned the painting and let it drop, there were several posts about it and how it was a confirmable role and why would scum have it.

Also, it was a strange thing that the dog did in the night, don't you think?

I also think we don't need players that don't care enough about the game.

It is not that I don't care about the game, but RL is more important.

More important yes, but when you have AMPLE opportunity to do something and still fail to do it, it shows a lack of care. It wasn't as though there were only a window of 2 hours to submit a picture. It could have been done any time at all for DAYS.
