It totes is. Googling EGOT gives only three first-page results related. You'd have to have watched 30 Rock / be a showbiz nerd to know what it is.

I think Professor Paragon is the better title in my opinion. It kinda is our EGOT. And, I will add my voice to the people who had never heard of EGOT before this conversation.

You really think that winning Best Mafia Discussion/Wiki poster and Paragon of Scumhunters is our equivalent of an EGOT?

I'd argue that winning Paragon, Don Corleone and Third Party is ours. Not that there's anything wrong with the Professor award; just that in the pantheon of individual awards, it's not super high up there.

Enough discussion to reach a consensus on one or two variations of a title, five scummers supporting it and my approval are the only requirements for a title, time isn't a factor at all.

I will be declining any and all noms of a title for me as I think titling myself would be a conflict of interest.

How else do you think we could play it out? I agree that the current iteration of his title isn't really a very good execution so I'm open to alternative suggestions if people have other ideas.

I think the userbase trusts you to be impartial, TBM. If you are nominated for a title that fits you and that you and the community support, there is no reason not to give it to yourself.

We could always draft a Title Fairy Emeritus to pull the trigger on TBM, should he get a good nom.

That said, Clapping Optional is terribad.

I read this as saying that you should draft somebody to boot TBM and take his job.

I dunno. I think Vi has admitted before he's egotistical, and the EGOT reference is just really perfect since his current title is related to him winning several awards.

The current title is obviously a bit pretentious and also a bit unfair that someone won scummies and gets to keep them forever now.

I actually thought "Quality Control" was good and not just a troll title, because of the recent controversy surrounding Vi, and I thought it also spoke to how meticulous he is with designing his games.
