Hi!

Um, so yeah, I've only read limited parts of the game (and by that I mean
really
limited), so if people could tell me any important stuff, that would be awesome.

Also, I will catch up properly at some point.

I didn't know Nero had claimed. I neighbourized Seanald with the thought that he could tell me his result if he didn't want to out it to everyone.

I had an exam yesterday, but didn't want to extend the deadline, so I only had a quick look at things. I kind of lazily ISO'd people to see who I should neighbourize. I noticed a nice table in CFJ's with the plan, so I thought I'd follow that. I first noticed something about Seanald when I clicked the start of Day 2 link. And then I ISO'd him and saw that he was planning to investigate someone last night too.

Because mafia not knowing his results may have been useful somehow. I didn't necessarily expect him to trust me, but I just thought that I may as well neighbourize him, and I didn't see a plan for me to neighbourize someone.

I didn't know I had claimed. I knew that bids and money transfers were being dictated. I probably wasn't thinking properly, but I didn't know. I think I noticed the cop thing in someone's ISO somewhere, about him maybe being a scum cop. I wasn't 100% sure because his ISO only said investigative.

@Slumber: No, I didn't bother trying to read anybody. I still haven't.

@Tammy: Yes, I missed those. And I obviously didn't have a specific plan in mind.

PEdit: I'm actually probably conftown. Wouldn't my scumbuddies tell me what to do? (i.e. not this)

So, could someone explain the theory behind the action plans and stuff, and whether it actually mattered whether I neighbourized Seanald or Mehdi (apart from just the importance of following a plan of course), because if what I did doesn't really matter except for people reading me, then I'd prefer to know.

And yeah, I realise Seanald probably is scum now, and I'm sorry about that. I didn't think the neighbourise ability I had was so important, and as I said, I'm pretty sure that I'm pretty likely town after what happened, so hopefully it has achieved the same effect?

So what is Sean claiming to have. A cop ability from an auction, or a cop "role"?

I'm sorry for being so clueless. I'll start catching up soon, but probably won't be done until after my exam tomorrow.

No, I haven't played with Seanald. The closest is when I got killed the night I replaced into a game he was playing, so yeah, no.

And no, I'm not letting myself get lynched this game. If I was scum, my buddies would have told me to neighbourize Mehdi obv. I don't understand what the point in neighbourizing Seanald would have been unless I was going for this argument so everyone would call me town. Yeah... no.

Seriously though, how was I supposed to know to neighbourize Mehdi
unless
I had scumbuddies? Even Nero's ISO has nothing on it (after my quick look before anyway) and the only things at the end of Day 2 were the auction things, which I obviously knew about.

I actually don't see how it's possible for me to be scum here.

I'd like to choose who to cop myself if possible.

And saying that I have poor choice in targets based on something before I read the game is a little ridiculous.

Quick read-through thoughts:

-I agree with the boiz about Tammy's early play.
-Seanald's is scummy. Jumping on the tammy wagon for a different reason, and it's not good either.
-I don't necessarily agree with the boiz about Tammy-town. I don't think she's as scummy, but still.
-I think the boiz are town, but GI's vote for them incriminates them.

I'm only up to page 10 (but will do more later!) and at this point think that I could end up going for a Tazaro or Phil lynch (even though I may have not read their posts yet) Most of the active posters (that are still alive) seem pretty town, except of course Sean.

urgh, I told Magua I'd be slow to catch up, but I'll try. Really it's just the next day that's busy for me, so if you want you can lynch without me being fully caught up, but as I said, I'll do some more reading.

-Tempted to say Tazaro's defence of MoI in is a towntell, but I think it's too weak and non-commital.
-Greygnarl and Sala could
maybe
be overenthusiastic scum bussing?
-Not really sure where I stand at all on Pitty.

Pitty:
Why was it important for MoI to be lynched Day 2 rather than Day 1?

-Weird how Taz doesn't have an opinion on MoI to share in .
-Yeah, the only think that really makes me doubt the bois is GreyIce.
-409-410 (where Taz says he's going to ISO MoI) feel scummy.
-I have townreads

-I'm not used to Salamence being so pro-town. Has he actually done this as town before?

Up to 20.

I don't scumslip as scum, sillies.

Also, the only actions my slot made were last night.

And, I can't transfer money, so you should all be giving it to me, you just need to see the light!

I'm going to try reading again soon. If there are any other questions that I should be answering let me know. :) (And this smilie is supposed to be making you all read me as town, just in case you didn't get that).

Admittedly, the thought of watching you all squirm at the possibility of me being scum with it makes me a little happy inside. But people suspect me, so I've naturally gone a little insane.

Sorry I wrote that before seeing that the plan was for grey to go for it Mehdi.

Bois, can you please at least pretend that I'm town (not a scumslip just in case) for a moment and answer my question. Is your pushing on me just to drive me crazy for the sake of it, or are you as confident of me being scum as you make out?

PEdit: It's only anti-town if the answer to one of those questions is not zero, and if someone answers then I can at least hold them to it.

I might not know exactly what you mean though. Am I unable to cop and bid in the same night? I actually don't know and can't be bothered checking. What am I doing to prevent myself from being lynched.

Also I'm happy with pretending that I'm town as long as other people do too. All you need to do is put go in nice bright colours and tell me who to vote freeze.

I was told I received cop at the beginning of Night 3. I was told I could use it that night.

Basically, if an ability is available for auction because of it being advertised, I get to use it once, and am able to on the same night I get it if I wish.

So, I have not been told anything about the oracle, but I think it's likely I will get it Night 4 (unless maybe it would have been up for auction without advertisement? I'm not sure about this though).

Oh, I have a brilliant idea!

While we wait, we can take bets on who I have a mafia result on, and then transfer money accordingly!

But if I'm scum then it doesn't really make sense that I would claim to neighbourize Seanald, but not actually neighbourize him. So, I'm either town fakeclaiming or I actually have this role.

In post 2595, PeregrineV wrote:@DV- Would like a paraphrase of the neighborhood QT you had with Seanald.

I said hi and stuff and asked if he wanted to tell me his investigation result.

He briefly outlined the transferring money thing to me, and about how auctions were going well. He also said that people didn't like him so we wasn't sure whether the neighbourize would be very good, and said he thought he was going to die and that there were probably scum on his wagon. He didn't like being lynched for information.

I asked him to explain the post considering he had a scumread on me (because it was weird unless he thought I was town).

He then said the scumread was because of who I replaced, and a bit later says that my bumbling made him rethink things but that it didn't indicate anything as to my alignment.

When night came I asked for his alignment, but didn't get a reply.

Also, with my income thing, just don't think I'm scum if I end up having less money than you'd expect.

This is correct.

Based on what I read (which was
most
of the game), my preferred lynch is phil, but to be honest I kind of glossed over guille's posts since it was before Seanald was dead, so if someone could tell me why he's scum so I can agree/disagree that would be cool.

Sorry about the delay

THE RESULTS......

2 uses of Accountant

1 use of Blind Bid (This can be used at night. On the next night, only the user can see the current bids for auctions. Announced when night starts.)

2 uses of Coroner (I think we've had this, but just in case we haven't, you choose a dead player and can see their abilities and money at the time of death)

1 use of Gravedigger (Choose a dead player and get the abilities they had at the time of death. What is announced: the dead player chosen and the use of the ability. Not announced: Who used the ability.)

1 use of Night-kill

2 uses of Self-watcher

I don't know. If he's scum, then he's probably in a desperate position. Something like going after a universal townread is the type of thing I could see scum doing in such a position.

I actually remember when I was reading through being surprised that Phil didn't make more of an effort to question people's townreads or at least say something about how everyone was finding the bois town. Even if I have a fairly weak scumread on a player that everyone else thinks is town, I would want to make sure people weren't just calling him town for the sake of it or anything like that. I don't feel like I'm explaining this very well, but basically I don't think I as town would express a scumread on someone like the bois without commenting on everyone finding him town. Maybe others would be different, I don't know.
