I don't really consider them worst roles (although I'm definition of bad is pure horrible since I tend to like most things). They're fairly interesting (favorite for me is lonely spirit or scholar). Only one I dislike is darkdeath (not really mod guessing, but players guessing who would have picked scum a, etc just doesn't seem to be that fun to play with in an open setup).

Edit: Although I can scholar getting the complaint that the player has to play like a survivor for the first 3 days if they care about the power (or they can just treat themselves as vanilla since it's unlikely more then one of the players picked at start would be alive day 4 in a setup under 13 players). Scholar's power is fairly connected to game size.

Isn't a lead sheep just a kingmaker? And kingmakers are only as good as the player with the role and makes the game a lot less interesting for everyone else

I'd hate the role though simply because when you sign up for a game you usually want to play it, not have to play to win which says you should ask to be replaced.

And magikarp is easy to evolve with an experience share.

Bastard is essentially anytime the mod lies or does something really unpredictable. A role no one's ever heard of anything similar if the game isn't marked with strange roles could be considered bastard. I really only consider lies to be true bastard though while unpredictable is more fine to me. Cult and jester tend to fall in the unpredictable since it can really screw with how you need to be playing if you don't know they exist. Lynchers I think are just fine (although some hate it since it really comes down to luck in whether your target is easy or tough to lynch) and survivors are awful but not bastard.

Exception being anything notified beforehand is no longer considered bastard since it makes it expected. A semi-open game that says there is a cult isn't bastard (same with pretty much any role if you give advance warning).

Mechanics can also be bastard, but it usually applies to roles simply because roles are used more than mechanics in most games.

Or just never act. That role isn't compulsive, and screwing up a watcher/tracker's results isn't useful (taking credit isn't a good enough reason since it just means you care quite a bit about town cred).

Hated really isn't a bad modifier unless it's lylo. Everyone just starts treating L-2 as the new L-1 (where hammer intent would have to be given at L-2).

And saul I'm blind. Well in that case then just continually target yourself. You won't mess up any of the kills unless you die and if you did well at least it doesn't make you look guilty so that minimizes trouble some (although if I was a tracker who saw someone target themselves I wonder what I'd think).

The only roles I've seen occasionally target itself is mainly some forms of doc and governor. Although if a role doesn't ban it and you see an interesting use it's a good idea to ask.

Basically a suicidal one shot delayed vig delayed bomb role. Not that bad of a role really (only part that makes it worst is suicidal, but the rest kind of deal with that).

Complete lack of any true town power is why just 2 scum roles. Mountainous games tend to have pretty low percentages of scum because of that.

That's really not all that bad as long as you know about the double rule (except for the lack of knowing your own alignment which always just sucks). I think I've done around that much in a day before.

I disagree. You're probably town or scum (if you're 3rd party with a strange win con you're just screwed). If you're scum you can win by living to the end. If you're town you win by just lynching scum. In that case I'd probably try to lynch scum while living to the end (kind of like a town survivor) so that'd cover both main ways to win.

A replace word with dots equaling it's length for all words in that is a program you can write. Do that and write normally, then put the post through the program and you've got past the restriction (which makes it no worse then the pr where you had to send all you're posts through a site that makes it txt speak).

It's the only way I can see to viably dodge that pr (and that has the restriction of whether it's worth the effort to write a program assuming you have the knowledge of it). I'm curious what mod would carefully analyze each of you're posts to check all possible incorrect words.

9 * 14 for a game with 2 week deadlines is points needed to win. Ending the day immediately gives you 13*5 points. Not enough to win.
