Benmage was saying things that were objectively bad strategy. Until someone comes along and says that Benmage is really, really bad at mafia, something I haven't noticed in my experience with him, I'm holding him to the standard of knowing the basics of the game. Bad advice is scum advice in cases that aren't borderline.

ThAd's posts (at least some of them) don't engage with the thread at all. It's like he's posting here accidentally and means to be responding to a different game. "Wait, that never happened" is my response to most of them replying to or talking about me. It's like he wishes I said things so that he could criticize them, but I didn't, but, hell, he's committed to the passive-aggression anyway, so RAMMING SPEED.

Scum want to do this for the following reason:

Policy lynch on a PGO who claims first post HAS TO HAPPEN right away. It's driven by the sense that this claim cannot ever be verified, so the person making it has to be dealt with immediately. To suggest that, hey, maybe we could do that later is evidence that you are TERRIFIED of doing it today because I will flip town, and you're sunk. You're already down a person due to our friendly neighborhood vig (or SK, but even so, still friendly neighborhood!) and you know that'd be gg. And that's a sucky thing to happen so early in a large theme.

Soooo, you want to sow some seeds, but from the outside. You don't want to touch this policy lynch with a ten-foot-pole, but eleven feet? That might be worth it.

As I said in Alien Mafia, LYNCH ME NOW. Prove you're not BSing. If I come back and I've been lynched, that'd be day 1 of an easy town victory.

Benmage was saying things that were objectively bad strategy. The scum can endgame a PGO. They don't need the PGO killed, least of all in the hands of a player who if town is a complete moron. They don't even need the PGO lynched, since again, the PGO presents no threat to them. As long as they leave the PGO untouched, there's nothing about the PGO which is a threat. The PGO only helps them, via town roles doubting the PGO claim and targeting the PGO, and/or the town doubting the PGO claim and pushing it through. There's pretty much zero scum motive to push for a lynch on the PGO, since again, the PGO once it's known to be a PGO is completely and totally harmless to them.

They could kill her, yes, and had we not lynched her, they would have, but because they could push her mislynch (AND I DO CALL IT A MISLYNCH!), they did so. Tammy had been shown to shoot scum. Tammy had been shown willing to play ball with the town, to roll with their ideas. Her role was already known and PROVEN, so there was no town doubt. She was an extreme threat, hindering them every step of the way. There was EVERY scum motive to want her dead, as laid out in my iso, among others. Tammy, once known to be a day-SK, was even MORE of a threat to them than Tammy was before she was known to be a day-SK.

The difference is as clear as night and day.

'Course, it's all pointless to talk about the difference between scum pushing the PGO vs. scum pushing the day-SK, since Aco
isn't
a PGO and is, in fact, still scum.

The lynch is the only way to kill Tammy because...oh no, you just confirmed my PGO claim.

So, the above post: I am not saying Yates knows or suspects there are fakeclaims because he has one. (He does, because he is scum).

I AM saying that his reason for thinking fakeclaims exist is that pappums had them before and Yates of ALL people would know that, since he tried to make so much hay out of his claim in DBZ. (Didn't work, because I nailed him).

So his reason for saying that is false.

A reasonable process of thinking is as follows:

pappums put fakeclaims in before. I'll be on the guard for them here.
