wow, i was gone for a day and i go all the way up to lynch -1. kind of scared you guys were just gonna keep rollin till i was dead after that quo vote. anyways,
fos the_status_quo
for putting someone at lynch -1. you should really be more careful before placing your vote. you could have at least asked for a vote count. ugh. im pretty tired, so ill post more tomorrow.

unvote
my random vote.

I voted Elias to put the bandwagon to the point where thered be a significant ammount of pressure. I put on too much pressure, because I did not realize it would put him one from lynch.
signifigant pressure for what? you must have noticed at least that i had 3 votes on me already, and that's certainly enough to require a response from me. what was the point of another vote at all?

i wasnt being defensive. i just think that you must have noticed i had plenty of votes on me already, definately enough to warrant a reaction. even if you didnt know exactly how many i had, there was no reason to put an additional vote on me at all.
my last two posts were not defensive, they were posing questions to you. how could you not see that? by yelling at me and calling me an idiot you seem to have gone around the main point which was i was already signifigantly pressured --even without knowing the exact number of votes-- before you voted.

El Oh El.

And Because Zilziu is like a lurker second class. He popped up once, jumped on a bandwagon, and has disapeared since. So he's a lurker + suspicious.
im confused. you quoted me and then said that ziliu sounded suspicious. just so you know, those comments were made by me, not ziliu.

i word to the mod: i think i already asked to
unvote
my random vote. if not, this post'll get the job done.
to me, quos votes and/or posts seem slightly sporatic and random, but not necassarily scummy. at least not scummy enough to warrant a vote. not yet anyways.
and luna, i still would like to see more content in your posts. Your last post is not a good example of content. your opinion is that tsq is scum.....why? at least quote some other peoples reasons or something. sheesh.

obviously you dont have to quote non scummy posts. but when you make a case by quoting several things you find scummy, then omit the post that gives a reasonable response to all of your points, well, thats just not acceptable. if you didnt know, misleading the town is considered scummy. youre looking pretty scummy to me right now.

ok. the results of my reread:

Luna: lurked the majority of the game. stands by her conviction to lynch tsq on reasons i can only define as OMGUS. pretty much playing too badly to be scum.

tsq: very active and involved in all things in the game. he made one mistake that gave him a lot of pressure early. overall, he wasnt looking too scummy, up until he miscontrued information and wrongfully claimed wuffles had contridicted himself. it could just be another mistake, but it seemed scummy to me.

Wuffles: he's also been very active in the game. nothing that i can see to make him particularely scummy.

ziliu: posted a lot early on, but seems to have faded somewhat. id like to hear more from you.

Arafax: another one who has been very active in all aspects of this game. nothing to make him seem scummy yet.

norinel: has made very few posts. would like to hear more from you.

spectrum: replaced blue early on, havent heard much from you recently. please post more.

lowell: replaced orton. id also like to hear more from you.

channel delibird: prety active throughout the game. not much to be said in terms of scumminess.

in conclusion: lowell, spectrum, norinel, ziliu, and luna need to post more.
tsq is the only one looking scummy to me right now, seeing as he hasnt responded after wuffles corrected him on his mistake.

posts like those of luna's cant really be called posts. what i mean is not that there are people who havent posted more recently, i mean that there are some people that are posting absolutely nothing of value or relevence, while i was just absent for a couple days.

Also, at least luna is contributing to the conversation, which is more than you're doing.
i didnt say i was absent. i said i was busy. my responses for starcraft mafia were not in depth, they were only responses to keep myself from being modkilled, because the mod decided to kill off anyone who didnt post wihtin three days. if i were to make a response for this game, it would take more time because i would post something relevant. also, my internet was down last night, so i couldnt post anything then in my spare time. i apologize for that.

My question is why you are even looking at starcraft mafia. youre not in that game are you? youre really stretching to make a case against me for reasons i cant explain.

Thestatusquo wrote:No, I'm not stretching. Lets look at the timetable here:

1) I point out we might need to prod you.

2) You immediately post for the first time in days, almost immediately after being called out, saying that you haven't had time to play much mafia, and that somehow explains your abscense from the game, which it would, it it were true, and in the meantime call my motives into question by stating there are 'people lurking much worse than you' This all seems a bit overdefensive seeing as I never used the word lurker, but rather enquired if we ought to prod you.

3) I politely enquire who has been lurking more than you, considering everyone has posted way more than you recently.

4) You respond by trying to shift the blame to luna, who admittedly, could be scum, but I think it's more likely a distancing technique, and saying that well...She's not posting content. This is inconsistant with your earlier claim that a) there are MANY of "them", and b) That "they" are lurking.

5)I point out that it isn't true that you have no time for mafia, because you've been posting in other threads, thus proving your claim a lie. I also point out that everyone else has posted at least 2-3x as much as you have recently, thus proving your claim of worse lurkers to also be false.

6) You respond by questioning my motives in looking at other threads
(for future reference, I didn't, I can see when you are the last person to post in a given section, lets say little italy for one, I go in, to check to see if someone has posted in this game, notices you haven't, but have instead posted in the thread right above it. but ALSO, people frequently check out other players games, both previous and current, in order to get a better read on them. It's called meta gaming.)
instead of responding to the fact that your two earlier claims have been proven wrong, and you responded to a thead that you hadn't responded to in days after a period of about an hour after being mentioned, proving you have been checking the thread frequently.
ok. First off: I carefully explained that i have been busy for several days before you posted that. After I finished all my homework the night of said starcraft mafia post, i was going to breiefly check responses to see if anything of worth had been posted. At this point my father yelled at me that he needed to use the computer. At this point i had ONLY HAD TIME TO CHECK STARCRAFT MAFIA. The only reason i posted there was because 1)our mod had posted a post or be modkilled message, and 2) it would only take 30 seconds to respond. So, that is the reason behind my post on starcraft mafia and not here. you can check it yourself if you wish.

secondly: the thing you call "shifting the blame to luna" was in response to your inquiry about who was lurking worse than me. When I said that, still hadnt gotten around to reading the previous and most recent page. to the best of my knowledge, there still were worse lurkers than me, besides luna. i admit it was stupid to respond before reading the most recent posts, but I can't undo that now.

thirdly: I have always been a very defensive player. I havent been playing too long so i cant show you many examples of this, but if you check newbie 255 you will find that i was lynched as a townie because i was being overdefensive. im not going to change my playstyle just like that, even if i do get lynched because of it.

I didnt mean in that particular post, I meant his accusation that throughout the game you've only been posting about some issues and not others.

It wasn't meant as an accusation. It was in response to CDB who asked if we could go ahead and lynch you. I was reminding him that you hadnt posted recently and that he should wait for a response before trying to lynch. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that.

No one posted while I was out? wow.
anyways, that PBPA revealed a lot of things I didnt notice up to this point about Wuffles. Thank you Spectrum. To me Wuffles is looking a lot more suspicious now that I see his questionable and at times hypocritical play throughout the game.

Lowell: where do you see me continually attacking TSQ? So far I have responded to his accusations against me twice, and accused him once.

also, I never mentioned we were related because I was once in a game where there were two brothers and the bastard mod found out and replaced them both. I'd rather that not happen to me. And as I mentioned before, my suspicion currently lies mainly on Wuffles. The PBPA revealed that he has often been hypocritical throughout the game.

In response to Lowell: The definitive version.
Lowell wrote:
The entirety of his posts are devoted to the attack of exactly one player: TheStatusQuo.
This is simply untrue. I dont think I have over five posts in which I express suspicion towards my TSQ.
But something about how Elias continues to attack the same points over and over (even after TSQ has long ago tried to move on) strikes me as strange.
What points have I been attacking over and over?
His only other quasi-accusations come briefly on Luna (a grammatically-challenged newbie AND an infrequent poster) and just now on Wuffles, after SV posted a PBPA.

Again. My accusations of TSQ were just as brief you claim my accusations for other players were.
Check out his most analytical post (#248) if you don't believe me. What are Elias' conclusions? That only TSQ looks scummy and that a few others should post more. Oooo, bold.

at that point in the game there wasn't much more to conlude. hence, my request for further participation from other players.
One final note. The original suspicion of TSQ, and the reasoning Elias latched onto while claiming to not latch onto, was that he cast the lynch-1 vote for Elias on page 2.
One final note. Where the hell do you see me attack him about the -1 vote?! At the very beginning of the game I fosed him for it, then dropped the thing entirely. Most of the arguments you posted were untrue. The one good argument you had was that I didnt conclude much in one of my posts in the early game. So youre voting me off of that, or what?

perhaps you felt that i was lurking after a total absense of less than a day? what exactly was the reasoning behind joining that wagon in the first place.
(sorry i didnt put that in the first post)
2, Continues to attack it
misrepresentation. I was not attacking the -1 vote because of what it was, I was asking for the reasoning for joining a wagon on me in the first place, regardless of my vote count.
i just think that you must have noticed i had plenty of votes on me already, definately enough to warrant a reaction. even if you didnt know exactly how many i had, there was no reason to put an additional vote on me at all.
my last two posts were not defensive, they were posing questions to you. how could you not see that? by yelling at me and calling me an idiot you seem to have gone around the main point which was i was already signifigantly pressured --even without knowing the exact number of votes-- before you voted.
Attack # 3.
This was in response to you. It was not a further attack.
my responses werent in my defense, they were to get you to explain your vote further. your vote didnt seem right to me, so i wanted to apply some pressure.
Attacks it again.
actually no. once again asks reasons behinds joining wagon (once again regardless of my vote count) since you failed to answer the first time.
Other posts where you attack me include 16, 17, 27 (granted, there is still some dissent that this is an attack, but I think it is)
good job. none of these mentioned posts are actually from me.
To be fair, he quasi defends me in 29, and definitely defends me in 15, but this is rehashing things everyone else already said (most notably me.) and then he attacks me in 16...
where are you getting these post numbers from? I never do any of those things mentioned.
Also. The view all posts is a wonderful function. In this game, Elias has thrown a lot of vague suspicion around, but he has exactly 1 vote, his first random one. And he has three FOS's. One on me for my random vote in the begining of the game one on luna for not posting odd, seeing as it was post 9..., and the thirdone for the -1 from lynch. Other than that, he has not once felt the need to show his suspicions by voting or FOS'ing
I do not often broadcast my suspicions. Ive always played like this. Check my other games.

I ignored the first point because I have no objection to it.

This was not a separate "attack". It was me explaining in further depth the first "attack". That regardless of count, he really had no reason to jump on the wagon.

so, ziliu and luna havent been here for pages and pages...
I think we should avoid lynching them today and ask primate to replace them over the night. or something of that sort.
because we might end up killing off our cop if we just randomly lynch people who arent contributing.

um, lowell: I was definately not suggesting a no lynch. I was suggesting we not lynch luna or ziliu solely based on their absense because it is essentially a random kill. I dont know where you got no lynch from that, but whatever.

At this point Arafax, the day could use some shortening. We've been going at this for A long time now. 17 pages, and day1.

I just want to move on.
vote: Arafax

As TSQ showed earlier on, you've been playing too long to be acting so confused. I mean, its hard to be a confused townie when youve been playing as long as you. And besides, you only have 2 votes, and a little pressure never hurt anybody.
