Not a fan of this, when I use my phone to read the forums I use signatures as a way to identify the author without scrolling to the left to see their avatar. This makes that harder.

I mean, I think the feature is bad in itself, but I used another angle because I wouldn't get anyone to bulge if I just said "hey this is bad for reasons already documented".

I guess I'd prefer opt-out (or the Show/Hide) because then people will make their signatures to fit that standard, but I don't care that much.

Hey, at least I don't have a signature for the sake of having one, believe it or not.

So this was unstickied why? The userbase isn't happy with the current situation (it wants this "feature" to be optional), so why take it down from the spotlight?

You didn't say anything about what you'd do once you destickied it - it wasn't made clear what was going on. It seems like you're trying to wash things away once the thread was discussing other things, hoping to get away with your first idea.
