Game's moving slow, people aren't really participating, i'm part of the problem and I do apologize for that.

I hope i can get a much bigger post in tommorrow.

One thing that i've been looking at, it says that the player who wins MeMeMeet points the most will also win.

I was wondering about the ramifications of this condition and I think it could be potentially gamebreaking and slightly unfun to offer a mafia member "help" in accumulating the most MeMeMeet points and win that way while he sells out the rest of the family.

Yea you can always expect Pooky to be trying to find some loophole to exploits

I'm not worried about being sold out for points, I'm not scum.

My plan earlier in more detail is this: if we do agree to cooperate, we basically promise any scum that would out their family to help them get MeMeMeet points by throwing games to them,

Basically we'd throw a game to them, they tell us one mafia member, we lynch, if the cooperator turned out to be lying, we get him tommorrow or a vig does at night(1 for 1 is good trade)

if he does turn out to have sold out a member, we throw the next game to him, he sends us another Mafia member.

The town at no point during this process would ever want to betray the mafia member selling out his mafia because they're going to win ANYWAY since the mafia is going to be pretty annihalated(if there is an SK or anything else it shouldn't be that hard to track down.)

The Mafia Member shouldn't be worried about some1 beating him in MeMeMeet points after he's chucked his family under the bus and thru the woods because the games in the beginning are worth MUCH more in point value than they are later(since there are more people alive earlier, there are more potential points)

Once the Mafia Member gets his huge lead in MeMeMeet points, he WANTS the game to end as soon as possible so that his lead holds, thus he will help us hunt down whatever other bad thing is out there and throw his family under the bus as fast as he can.

This plan from an ethical and gameplay standpoint is of course incredibly boring, kinda dumb, and probably ruins whatever fun we would've had with the setup.

I'm only detailing it out because that's what I've been mulling over for the past week and whether I should or should not share my conclusions. I'm a fairly consummate strategist, I like to think of every angle before I actually begin participating in a game.

But now though, I'd like to wonder why Dirge decided to ignore the fairly healthy bandwagon on Spork and instead decide to try to build one on me.

Why are you protecting Spork Dirge?

The reason I followed Thesp is because of Spork's claim and Thesp's claim

I play MTG, so when I hear of activated ability, I think an ability that can be used, Spork's claim phrased his ability as he could do an investigation if he had fewer points than XXX and only once. I know Mith played Magic too(i think, his deckbox for the mememeet cards we used was one used commonly for MTG) so I would expect that if he had phrased it that way in his role PM, it would count as an activated ability.

Now when Yosarian claimed he phrased it differently(this was after I voted for him), his clarification of Spork's claim is why I backed off.

Thesp, it's very simple. In order to win, the town has to win, and I have to have more points then person X. If during one night I have less points then that person, I get a one-shot investigative ability.

There is a subtle semantic difference between being able to do an investigation when having fewer points than a person and RECEIVING a one shot ability to investigate when you fall behind in points to a person.

Spork's claim basically says he has an ability, he can only use it when he has fewer points and only once.

Yosarian's claim says he RECEIVES a one shot ability.

Whether that ability would be detected by a rolecop at this stage in the game is dependent upon the wording of the claim, my vote was based on Spork's wording, which is the only wording I had to work with before Yosarian's clarification.

And btw, here's why I don't think Thesp is a good lynch.

He said he got his investigation of Yos on Night 0, a night where the baddies didn't kill(unless they love killing NPCs).

That's the same thing as him coming out and saying we're playing a game with cop headstart, something I can't see him being able to know unless he is an investigative role cuz I don't see anything about it in mith's posts so far(some1 correct me if i'm wrong).

Unless there is no cop headstart and Thesp decided to risk it as scum that there isn't a single investigative role in the game that could come out and call him on that nonexistent cop headstart(which i can't see him doing) my best guess is that he's either A) Jester trying to get lynched or B) an investigative role.

Why didn't I say this earlier? Cuz I didn't want the scum to know I don't have an investigative role and give them a smaller list to shoot at.

Why am I saying this now? Cuz I'm tired of Dirge/MeMe pushing for Thesp and we have a deadline so we need to get our heads together and do something.

I voted for extension btw and I'll vote Atticus if he doesn't come up with a reason for voting for me.

I think that lyncher didn't actually need to be lynched for the town to win, all we had to do was lynch the mafia in order to win.

That's at least how I think lynchers in games with mafia work. I don't really consider that type of lyncher to be "scum"(I think of scum as baddy who we need to die in order to win)

He's claimed investigator who's had a headstart(which is information that isn't available to the rest of the town and thus I can't see as possibly being available to the scum)

If there is a single actual protown investigator who knows that there is NOT a headstart he gets pretty much pointed out and quickly lynched.(I think he WANTED someone to come out and nail him in that manner)

Heck I don't even think there was a time where we could've sent in Night 0 choices(unless we can do that sort of stuff during the pregame)

My point is that in the space of 1 day Thesp has managed to drop a RIDICULOUS amount of very big scumtells. If anything it looks to me like that he WANTS to get lynched because I've played with him before and I can't see this being his normal behaviour in any role but a suicidal one.

I'd absolutely love to see him get vigged, I very much suspect that we'd be playing into his hands somehow if we just lynched him.

This town clearly needs a sense of direction, we can't afford to have another scramble at the deadline, and my sense of guilt is starting to annoy me about not helping the matter.

Being incredibly awesome I'm going to try to provide that you with the person that I believe should be today's lynch.

PBPA:

Post 1-3: Mild Bantering, Oneliners and what not

Post 4: Mentions he'd rather not lynch me, would rather lynch Spork, doesn't state reasons. Seems to want to get on my good side and push for the easier lynch target(spork).

Post 5-10: Harps on the point that we

need

to get a lynch without actually contributing to finding a good lynch, attacks Atticus for not having a better alternative while not really giving any valid reason for lynching any particular person, switches position on lynching Pooky at Post 9 without actually stating any reason then promptly jumps onto Fletcher's wagon also without stating any reason on Post 10.

Day TWO

Post 11-14: States why he thinks MOS is suspicious, doesn't actually vote on MOS tho, basically says that it's not enough to vote on, when I see some1 unwilling to put down vote after laying groundwork, I think scum with cold feet, what made day1 Sporkwagon with no reasoning worthy of vote by day2 MOS unworthy of vote even tho you laid out reasoning? It smells very much like someone who doesn't believe a word of what he's posted, just making the effort to look like he is hunting for scum when he's not.

Post 15: Asks Atticus what the reasoning about voting Pooky was, funny how he didn't ask back in Day 1 on post 9 when he stated he was happy with a Pooky vote.

Also another interesting part, in Post 15 he states:

I don't think Atticus is scum. I'm not sure what the deal is with Dirge, I think it is just MoS trying to get to someone. And I got nothing on Fritzler.

I'd be willing to vote anyone except spork76 at this point.

Basically is unwilling to commit to anything on Dirge, continues to press MOS without voting, admits he's got nothing on Fritz but the most interesting thing here I seqe qis that he qstates he THINKS atticus isn't scum, but he STATES that he is willing to vote for a group of people that INCLUDES atticus. Why would he be willing to vote for some1 he thinks ain't guilty? I don't think he was actually thinking when he wrote this, just putting up words to make it look like he was contributing, thus the slip.

Post 16: Honestly this is one of those posts that just doesn't make much sense, it looks like he really wasn't even thinking when he wrote it, I don't even know if he's trying to push for lynching Thesp or not with this post, it's like he's trying to figure out whether his scumteam would be hurt by the lynch of the Jester or if it would just be a wasted lynch by the town.

Post 17: Votes me with pretty much no reasoning other than that I'm the only choice at this point unless we want to be stuck with NL, basically tunnelvisioning the day, making the issue NOT whether Pooky is guilty scumbag or not, but whether we want a lynch or don't want a lynch. This is an alternate version false dilemnaing, instead of stating X or Y is scum and we MUST lynch one of them, he states that either we get a lynch and it's X or we don't get a lynch at all, since getting a lynch is better than not getting one, we should lynch X!(this honestly avoid the question of whether X is scum or not, which SHOULD factor into whether or not you lynch X, he's trying to REMOVE whether X is scum or not from the decision of whether or not you lynch X by stating that it is STRICTLY superior to NL). This is a craplogic move often used when the scum can't dig up any dirt to attack X with.

Post 18-25: honestly I can't really find much contribution to the thread or any hard opinions on anything, he seems content with staying with the tide and trying to make it appear as if he is contributing without actually contributing.

I mean I guess you can say that about a lot of the players who are playing that they are just kind of going along with the tide and not really contributing much, but FB is one who's also shown up for the games and the lynches so it's not like he's entirely not paying attention, just choosing not to really hunt after scum while participating in the activities that result in the most gain for him.

Also on a sidenote, I'd like to point out that going into Night 2, the 2 Point Leaders were Fishbulb and Kristocker, Kris turned up dead on Day 3(allbeit mafia but we're pretty sure from MeMe's death they're not the only baddies out there) I can't really find anything from Kris's posts to suggest a reason why she would've been killed for any reason gameplay related, so I'd believe that the kill was motivated possibly by her Point standing as the scum were lacking better motivation to make the nightkill with, a move that put Fishbulb into sole possession of first place in the point standings.

My top suspicion for today and who I think should be lynched after some careful consideration is Atticus.


Why? I've just gone over all of his posts from day 1 forward, 94 posts and all of them seem to be very flimsy, he not only made a major position change without explaining why, but also voted for Fish when the primary evidence against fish that I had presented was something that he himself was guilty of.

His contribution to the game in terms of actively seeking out scum has been negligible and he seems eager to bandwagon.

On day 2 when I nearly got lynchified by a wagon containing MeMe/FB, both scum, Atticus was all too happy to hope on and encourage people to pile votes on in order to get me lynched.

Er, Spork, mlaker, this is what the green cards went, (as far as I can remember from a certain game) yeah, okay.

There were like four power roles in this one gamewe played, okay? Roleblocker, cop, doc, and vig. One of these was taken out and replaced with a green card, which would be a lessened version of that. But this person would know nothing!

Here are what I think happens.

The vig can only kill towns ( I know this because that was the one in the game at MeMeMeet)

The doc can only protect scum.

The cop.... insane maybe? I can't think of what this handicap would be.

The roleblocker can only block pro-town roles.

If this person chose to do something they could not, they would get no result, nada, say if a vig tried to kill a scum, he would just get a shake of the head. But I assume then maybe he'd get a "no" in a pm or perhaps nothing on the site, I don't know.

That's what he said about the green card, doesn't sound like something a green card townie would say, that's assuming green cards are actually townies which is something I'd expect Fishbulb to have known because it'd be ludicriously stupid to make a remark like that if he was completely wrong cuz he'd easily be caught out if a single vanilla townie said, "wait im not a green card! die!"

Also he replied to Thesp that he didn't have an activated ability.

His comment abandons logic. As town, I couldn't defend him because I didn't know his alignment. If I was scum, why would I put myself in that position? All I did was Point out that more than a few players fit the "suspicious" profile that he attached to FB. The only reason for Pooky to cast suspicion on me (he takes the edge of the corners by saying "curious") is to either hedge his bets or try to set me up for another slam dunk lynch the next day.

Yes you point out that other people fit my profile of FB as well, but it's pointless to point this out UNLESS you are trying to divert attention from fishbulb onto one of these other candidates, why would u try to do that unless u had some idea of fishbulb's innocence/guilt as opposed to another one? The point is that your comment about how other people have done what FB did is ABSOLUTELY pointless other than to divert away from FB and thus defend him without actually coming out and defending him in a more obvious fashion.
