Dealing with Chronic Lurkers
How do you deal with people who jsut never stop lurking in games? They hardly ever post, seem to follow the "cool" thing that is happening and really don't help. So how do you deal with this?Out of Time, through kether and in to the abyss of oblivion comes the avenger.

I'm sorely tempted that whenever I mod that anybody I see lurking (like the whole game) doesn't get into another one of my games, but with the queue (how the heck do you spell queue! WAIT JUST DID!) it's impossible to do that.Out of Time, through kether and in to the abyss of oblivion comes the avenger.

If people are busy or sick, they can say so in a post, saying how long they will be gone. Lurking may be legimate strategy, but one post every two days isn't hard to keep up. It could be as simple as a "I'm still watching the game but I'm happy with my vote".
Most mods ask you to notify them of any abscences, and I think if you don't remember to, you open yourself up for a mod kill.Out of Time, through kether and in to the abyss of oblivion comes the avenger.

well, there's also considering 72 hours ones
but it isn't that hard to come up with something to say. If you have so much trouble posting maybe you shouldn't play.Out of Time, through kether and in to the abyss of oblivion comes the avenger.

I've had times when i've had nothing to say, so I didn't post. What I mean by "Chronic Lurkers" are either:
A: Guys who intentionaly fly under the radar too much and become inactive
B: Inactive people who just don't look at the topic enough to keep up
C: People with odd circumstances that prevent them from playing for a period of time.
About C. Even if you have a illness, a family member dies ect, you'll probably care jack-squat about the game. So getting replaced probably shouldn't bother you. But for the rest of the people, even if it's not the person's fault get the short end of the stick.
Lurking is a strategy, but it's like the middle of war. You just can't invade the middle of the Sahara Desert with battleships and destroyers. There's a time and palce to lurk, or be quiet, and there's a time to speak up.Out of Time, through kether and in to the abyss of oblivion comes the avenger.
