Actually I'll do it for you:

Pros:
-Day 1 ends in a mislynch (note: statistically speaking this is most likely going to happen on its own)

Cons:
-Chance to be vigged overnight if there's a vig
-Almost assuredly going to be a scum lynch day 2
-If scum somehow manage to survive after a cop fakeclaim day 1, their future input will be completely ignored by the town

Zoraster, I want you to list out all the pro's and con's for a scum to fakeclaim a guilty on day 1. Then I want you to either self-vote or facepalm, depending on your alignment,

Pros:
1. Get a townie lynched
2. Escape because some idiot will make the argument you're too scummy to be scum. Maybe they'll even think you're MORE townie for doing it.

Cons:
1. Maybe there are more sane people than there are idiots.

Despite that, I do think there's the possibility that he had some sort of weird power role interaction thingy. But Fate's power doesn't appear to be miller-esque, and a night 1 role-fuckup would be pretty lucky for scum on night 1.

2. This is weak and chancey... unlikely for scum to risk.
