Quilford looked quizzically at the closing doors. "Wait. It's not over yet?" he asked the others. They shook their heads in response. As if to mock him, the lights above the stage moved dramatically from the door to the place where he stood, and he heard some of the audience members laugh.
Oh, yeah?
he thought to himself,
challenge accepted
. Despite having had his heart set on the death of BBmolla some days ago, he feared the consequences of rash voting, and he hesitated for a moment. It would be best to take this day slowly, and he was about to say as much when he was overruled by Rory the Roman.

Rory the Roman felt that glorious sense of validation when he saw BBmolla twitch following his vote. The puzzle pieces had fallen into place soon after Papa Zito's departure; Fenchurch had been too hesitant, and BBmolla had not been aggressive enough. This had to be the solution. Nothing else fit nearly as well. Rory the Roman had no idea what VitaminR was doing over in the corner by himself, but they didn't need VitaminR's support, at least not for this round. BBmolla was a marked man.

Twistedspoon glanced over at Quilford. He was reasonably sure that Quilford was honest, yet he found Quilford's behavior a little odd for someone so certain about BBmolla. What was he doing, anyway? From what Twistedspoon could tell, he was doing some sort of complicated mental arithmetic. It didn't matter; if they were wrong about BBmolla, they could argue about it later. There wasn't much for them to do now, not with the question of BBmolla hanging above their heads. Twistedspoon didn't mind having some more excitement in this game. He dropped his vote on BBmolla-

"WAIT!"

Rory the Roman and Twistedspoon turned to face Quilford, who was pointing at the ballot box with a crazed expression on his face. They looked at each other and shrugged. Whatever Quilford had to say, it was too late to say it. Twistedspoon lifted his sunglasses just in time for the light above the door to shine. Cool was not yet dead.

BBmolla smirked. Twistedspoon can be as cool as he likes. It had been a hard fight, every single minute of it, but BBmolla felt that he'd derived so much satisfaction from it. He didn't need to say anything; the light above the doors in the distance said enough about him. When the audience erupted in cheer, he applauded with them, glad that it was over and happy that he'd had the opportunity to match wits with his opponents.

BBmolla,
mafia goon
, was lynched on Day 7!

A win condition has been reached!

VitaminR was livid. Well, as livid as can be with a $1 million cash prize... He couldn't bring himself to yell at them too loudly for eliminating BBmolla without him. How long was it now since he'd last felt this kind of pride? Too long, apparently, for he didn't remember feeling this happy about winning a game. He heard the doors open, and all those people they had sent away were with him and the rest once more: Amrun, Hoopla, zMuffinMan, and malpascp. BBmolla, Fenchurch, and Papa Zito stood at the edge of the stage applauding the contestants' success until they were pulled into the group, shouting and laughing.
It's a beautiful day
, VitaminR thought to himself.

Quilford, Rory the Roman, Twistedspoon, and VitaminR,
townies
, survive and win the game for the town!

Thank you, everyone, for participating in this game, and special thanks to those who replaced in!

I apologize for my sloppy modding. My 48/24 activity policy while counting the weekend as a 48-hour period made things a mess, and my usual practice of prodding people even while they were on V/LA didn't help matters any. Having a prod count rule in place when I can't even keep track of prod counts properly is pretty silly. On top of that, there's the whole miscounting-the-votes thing, the full story of which can be found in the graveyard QuickTopic. Not my best work. That said,
scathing commentary
feedback on how I should improve before my next modding endeavor is welcome.

Since this is the first time Nomination Mafia has been run as an open game,
farside22
Hoopla is interested in hearing from the players about the setup. How do you feel about the setup's balance? Are there any changes to the setup that should be made? What are your thoughts on the game overall?

You guys, how could you have lynched BBMolla without me? I put so much effort into convincing people he was scum. :(
I would have hammered on sight if I had gotten here just a little earlier.

I feel pretty good about my reads this game. I think I only voted scum after switching to PZ Day 1 (with the exception of our "nights"). I called Fenchurch-Copper-PZ before the PZ lynch (though my reads varied wildly that day before settling on that).

Well-played everyone. The scum too. This is a tough set-up.

Oh hell to the yes.

Guess who never placed a vote on town (outside of nomination days where only town was nominated)?

Twisted, it was really obvious to me that you were town somehow, just from having played a brief Marathon game with you in which we were both scum. You were just very genuine in your thought processes?

Quilford, you did a good job replacing into this game. You got a good handle on the game very quickly.

agreed here.

My basic thoughts were that PZ was doing nothing and by getting his flip and seeing how people reacted to it i could get the other scum. Fenchurch was very reluctant to vote PZ so his scumflip incriminated her and when she didn't hammer BB it was pretty much GG

I need to play more games like this if I'm so transparent. It@s usually only the scumgames I've messed up recently as BB and faraday can tell you

and with that I am in no ongoing games at present so....

/in farside's game :]

I agree re: Twisted.

Vitamin my goal when I replaced in was to not overthink things at all. I'm sure I haven't read about thirty of the pages in this thread. And it worked, too; I think that'll be my strategy for now on. Thanks for that (pedit: you too, twisted)!
