malp, what exactly are you hoping to accomplish with this farce, besides dragging us along in this festering sore of a gamestate? CES was my favorite lynch, too. Get over it.

I anticipated the even days lasting about 72 hours. The fact we're running to deadline is sickening. Perhaps a few pearls may be found in this muck, but the large majority of todays words are devoid of meaning. Talking without votes is cheap. It's easy to say daggers towards your scumbuddies, knowing that you cannot be forced to strike them today. Does anyone seriously hope to scumhunt with todays promises?

Currently, it looks like Hoopla is set to be lynched by deadline rules of plurality lynch. To me, she is still by far the most town.

Would anyone for whom she is not their favourite be willing to switch so we could get a majority on one of the others? I will move to CES if necessary. I assume I could count on Copper and malpa. Anyone else?

Hoopla: if you do get deadlined, what are your reads? Who would you like to see lynched tomorrow?

Not sure what your point is here Rory. Nothing that happens in the game is random, everything is based on a decision someone has made. Therefore anything can be analysed, to greater or lesser degrees.

malpascp wrote:@Fenchurch: Your second paragraph is what I call WIFOM. I hope not being wrong.

The concept of WIFOM doesn't invalidate an argument about how scum would play. There are some ways that are more likely than others, and part of the game is considering them, and working out which best fits our situation.

I think there's a good chance that scum would have made use of you on the nomination list if you were town. The fact that you weren't chosen increases the chances of you being scum.

prod-dodging because I literally have nothing to add. This day needs to end one way or the other, and Copper's #851 sums up a lot of my thoughts.

Eh, I think Zito's points on malpa made sense, especially the final one. malpa has done basically nothing to engage with the lynch, he's provided no reasoning or persuasive arguments, despite now implying that he has strong reads. It seems a lot like it makes no difference to him.

I don't want to be a decider this game. I stop playing mafia ages ago and I'm not in my best. I think the game gets less ruined if we lynch CES at this point.

Assuming everyone nominated is town, CES should be the lynch, becase he is the one of them that contributed the less to the game.

Going on the same line of thought, if someone is scum among them, it would be CES, because he didn't contribute. Even if he is town, he is far less important to us than either Hoopla or zMuff.

Cooper can switch to CES. It will make no difference about Hoopla being lynched.
Anyone else who wants to do so would turn CES on a real wagon. We have 3 hours before deadline.

FFS. VitR is almost certain scum. He's following the game enough to immediately see that he's being prodded, yet only comments the bare minimum on the current situation, and is totally vague and non-commital.

I have to go to bed, I can't stick around until deadline. I'm not sure where is the best place for my vote.

Scum hunting is a little like gymnastics.

It takes only one small thing to go wrong -- jumping at the wrong angle, leaning just a little too far to one side, or losing even one moment of concentration -- for one to botch the routine. Hoopla had always maintained this philosophy, and she made sure to bring it with her to the stage tonight. Like all the other nights, she would keep a level head and focus on her task of finding the moles among the ten remaining contestants.

Unfortunately, this was no ordinary night. Tonight, they were restricted to voting for one of only three contestants, a move meant to test the wits of both sides alike. Everyone found their arguments frustrated by the constant question of how the three names were chosen and how they believed the studio would react to the behavior of the contestants the previous day. They took so long to deliberate that, whilst in the middle of wondering who was the best person to eliminate, they were interrupted by a loud buzzing noise signaling their deadline.

There wasn't even a majority decision. Hoopla sighed. How did they expect to find the scum if they were going to be this indecisive? There was no point in wondering that now... In a way, Hoopla was glad that she was leaving. That gave the rest of the contestants a fighting chance; at least they would not be worrying about her loyalties at a more critical point in the game. She hoped that they would pay heed to her words later, and she turned towards the back of the building.

The light above the doors was green.

Hoopla,
townie
, was lynched on Day 2!

Day 3 begins now.
