More importantly if Oversoul was your intended vote, why waste the post on Ythan? Surely someone else would vote for him at some point and you could see his reaction then.

It looked like one of those pressure dodge votes that I see players do, and then you backed off. To me it looked like you did something scummy, realized it and tried to cover it up. If you're town and do something scummy, you shouldn't be trying to cover it up. It's okay, people do scummy things as town. Scum are the ones who are going to try to compensate for it when they realize it.

It's one to thing to say "so and so" is scummy, it's another to back up those claims. It's easy for scum to fluff and just pick a name and say they are scummy, because here's a news flash, we're all acting "scummy", so to call someone scummy and not explain why is the equivalent to a fluff post.

A few observations.

-Arguing in circles for 7 fucking pages over a span of just 3 hours only helps scum. There are 17 of us, and the three or four of you who contributed to that effectively alienate the rest of the player list, and assuming that there is no way all of you are scum, thus you alienate scum from the discussion.
- As I've just shown it's easy to go "I don't know what is going on" and not provide content. I'm struggling because honestly? About page 2 into the argument it looks like you guys totally forgot about what you were arguing about in the first place, but continued to post for the sake of argument. What does winning said argument accomplish exactly? Sure as hell doesn't help the rest of us.
- How the hell did I get dragged into the argument?
- Why 10 minutes after I go to bed do people start posting again? I was waiting all evening!

Okay, I'm left with just one single question I'd like answered. What the heck did all that accomplish? Because I don't think it accomplished anything but the negatives I noted above.

What is with this growing lynch-train on Ethos? I don't see it, but maybe that's because he's my strongest town read at the moment. All I see is a townie cracking under the pressure he has had to endure from everyone.

I have a few things I want to look at. Te last few radical change in Oversoul's tone of posts have thrown up huge flags for me, and looking back at his ISO, I don't see why he went from playing the game to going back to the random joke phase of the game.

As far as anything is concerned, we should be treating Masons as power roles. Pretty powerful for a group of people confirmed to each other compare and contrast notes privately. And thus further discussion on the rest of them outing themselves is not pro-town discussion.

Remember the list roles on the first page are POSSIBLE ROLES. What if this mason group are the only power roles and everyone else is Vanilla or scum? Then it would be very bad for them to be outted on Day 1. Bad enough Ethos had to do it.

I don't see a counter-claim, I don't see a mason saying "nope not in my group" which should lead everyone to the conclusion that he isn't lying.

The votes on this lynch train should stop at the next station and hop off.

I'm sorry but a VT mafia kill is more desirable than a Mason kill. I don't know how on earth you could think differently, unless of course you want the mafia to kill the masons, and really there is only two reasons you'd want that.

Sure aren't doing yourself any favors. There isn't a roleblocker or doctor in this set-up and we had 72 hours to submit night actions. Since you declared what you wanted to do, you should have sent in the shot immediately when the night phase started.

But now that he's done so, you suggest that's exactly what the mafia did, so we should wait till tomorrow to lynch him. So we agree to lynch him tomorrow, you know what that means? The Bookie tags him tonight.

But Kanye as scum, that's exactly what he wants to happen. Ensure his team's bookie is successful.

Idher next as he essentially suggested we lynch Empking later as well, which would create the same scenario I just described. A Kanye or Idher lynch should be our lynch today.

To be fair, my point assumes he's town. That assumption doesn't make the theory invalid just because you think he's scum.

Then why aren't you advocating his lynch right now? Because you're missing the entire argument as to why I called you scum. It has nothing to do with what Empking did, but what you did and what you suggested.

Alright Oversoul I'll break it down for you. First, my argument does work under the assumption that Empking isn't scum, or rather that the scum know he's town even if we don't.

From Town's point of view he is scum and should be lynched.

From the scum's point of view however, they could have not predicted the claimed Vig would 'forget' to make his night kill. So him being targeted for the Bookie shot is highly unlikely.

Now as a whole much like Spyrex and KoC did, they immediately went for the lynch, something I'd expect town in this situation to do. But remember scum have this extra knowledge.

On Night 1, assuming Empking is the Vig we could have only seen 2 night kills. The scum and vig kill. On Night 2 however that goes all at the window, as with the variable of the bookie, there could be between 1 and 3 kills.

So from scum point of view, keep Empking alive. Bookie him tonight. Re-address his lynch tomorrow. Get an extra kill. Use the uncertainly of Night 2's kills (plus Empking's unreliability) as a way to push his lynch. Suddenly we're down quite a bit.

Maybe that explains things better? That's what I'm seeing. And that's what Kanye didn't address in his last post. He pretended to defend himself by defending against arguments I wasn't making.
