Rules

1. Votes must be in the following format:
   Vote: ?????
   . Any votes not bolded or not following the previous format will

   before casting a new vote, but you may

   if you do not wish to be voting for anybody. Simply follow the previous format to choose a new player to vote for. Your vote will be counted towards the

3. Lynching will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached a simple majority of votes, he is lynched.

   . A majority of these votes will end the day without a lynch.
   
4. This game is not to be discussed outside of this thread unless your role

8. Night phases will last for 72 hours. If you do not submit a choice, no choice will be made. Day phases will last as long as necessary. If discussion lags, a deadline will be imposed. If discussion resumes, the deadline will be retracted. If a deadline is imposed and reached, half of the necessary votes to lynch will be required to lynch a player. If no players have the necessary amount of votes, the player with the greatest number of votes will be lynched. If 2 or more players have the same necessary number of votes, the player who reached that number of votes
   LAST
   will be lynched.
   
9. If you anticipate being unavailable for more than 48 hours, please place a notification in the game thread or by PM to the mod. Treat this game as a commitment. If you have not posted or given notification that you are involved in the game within

   hours, you will be prodded. If you do not respond to the prod either in the thread, by PM to the mod, or within the Vacation/Limited Access thread within

As he is walking towards his car, SpeedyKQ is congratulating himself. He had 2 successful operations, and he is FINALLY starting to get some respect around the hospital. Dusk turning into night hides the shadowy figure waiting for him, though... he does not even notice anything is wrong until the chloroformed rag is around his mouth... he wakes up in a dark, damp cellar handcuffed and shackled to a bed with the shadowy figure before him... suddenly he sees the shadowy figure hold up a small New Testament and a knife... "W-W-What a-a-a-are y-y-y-you going to d-d-do w-w-with that?", he manages to sputter... Without saying a word, the shadowy figure slits open his stomach, and places the Bible inside, then turns around and leaves him to die a slow & painful death...

On the other side of town, as chaotic_diablo gets in his car from his night job as a security guard, he does not notice anything unusual. Driving home, he thinks to himself, "I am tired of these goons trying to take over the town. It's time for me to take the law into my own hands... Tomorrow, I will teach the Mafia a lesson, once and fo..." Just then he notices the car following him... He takes the next exit, but the black Lincoln Continental follows closely... Suddenly, he notices a flurry of small lights coming from the car, and hears the soft sound of silenced gunshots... that's the last thing he sees and hears...

As the town gathers around and discusses the events of the previous night, one person stands out. He likes to talk above everybody else and takes his turn very liberally. After Don Gaetano and LoudmouthLee both claim to be cops, he even advocates lynching a claimed cop. Under pressure of a deadline, the town makes their decision. "We must lynch

!" Unfortunately, Fiasco was not the scum everybody thought he was. He was a plain, vanilla townie whose only power was the power of his voice and his vote.

As Don Gaetano patrols his beat, he thinks to himself, "So far, a peaceful night. Maybe I'll go home on time and get a decent amount of sleep. I have got to find out who in this town has already killed off 3 of our beloved citizens!" A figure steps from the shadows of the alley Don Gaetano has just passed. "Let's make it 4, shall we?", the trenchcoated figure hisses. Don Gaetano whips around just in time to see a .22 Long Rifle pointed to his head. The suppressor silences the gun shot, and the figure jumps into his car which makes a fast, clean getaway.

As the town mourns the death of Fiasco, and Don Gaetano, they have to make a decision. Who is the best candidate for a lynch? The town returns to the activities of DAY 1. Don Gaetano said he had a GUILTY response to Aelyn, could he be sane? They town decides they have to take a chance, and they start chanting, "We must lynch

Probably because she was so lost in thought, Jaguar didn't notice the shadowy figure come up behind her. "Medical school is expensive, isn't it?" the shadowy figure hissed. "We've given you enough time to pay off the loan, and you are still consistently late. I'm sorry, beautiful, but we have to make an example!" Jaguar whips around and screams, "If you just give me 1 more we---" The bullet stops her in mid-sentence as her cold, lifeless body falls to the concrete.

Quietly, he snuck up on the figure & wrestled him to the ground. "I've caught you now!" Norinel exclaims. "Now the town has a fighting chance!" Just then Norinel notices the stench of alcohol-laden breath at the same time as he feels it on the back of his neck. Another figure whispers, "You were right, but oh so wrong!" as the gunshot makes sure Norinel won't be interfering anymore.

sorry about the recent lag, but i was really sick over the weekend, and i am still trying to catch up on sleep & everything else (i like my new job, but my hours are completely opposite to what i'm used to)... please feel free to post your thoughts, likes, dislikes, etc. i am always open to suggestion, and as always, feel free to PM me...

a couple of comments for whom it may concern:

concerning vikingfan's admission, i reread the PM's i sent the Mafia, and i did NOT specifically state that they could only talk during the NIGHT phase... also vikingfan did let me know of the discrepancy, but a)there wasn't much i could do to correct it, b)did not feel it impacted the game THAT much... i will be rewording the PM's for my future games (if they ever let me mod again, lol)
