Nativity Mafia - Game Over, Praise The Lord!

Post Post #0 (isolation #0) » Tue Oct 25, 2005 7:55 am

Post by Mr. Flay »

Just in time for the holidays, it's
Nativity Mafia
!

Bethlehem,
0 A.D.
8 B.C.
4 B.C.
Jesus' birthday.
The Christ child has been born, in a manger rather than an inn (you know the drill). But not everyone is happy to see this joyous day... will he go on to be the Savior, or wind up in a shallow grave? It's up to you to help decide.

Expect blasphemy. Expect murder. Expect fun.

Players
:
  • d8P
    (was SSB!)

  • mikeburnfire
(was diggy, and before that, dybeck)

  • Squonk
  • Fiasco
    (was NanookTheWolf)

  • TonyMontana
  • PookyTheMagicalBear
  • VisMaior
  • PeaceBringer
  • BabyJesus
  • !Chucklez!
  • Werebear,
    (was Coron)

  • Astronaut
  • Thoth
  • Iammars
  • This is not me
  • Tyfo
  • Puzzle
  • rajrhcpfreak
  • Fritzler
  • VisMaior II
    (was darquiel)
Game Over; the town and the Baby Jesus are triumphant (for about 33 years, anyway). See endgame for details and role reveals.

Rules
  1. Remember, it's a game. It's supposed to be fun. It's supposed to be interactive. Do your part.
  2. Votes must be in bold (
    Vote: Satan
) to be counted. Unvotes should also be bolded (
    Unvote: God
), though I do not strictly require them.
  3. Lynches will require a majority of living players, and will be final once that majority is reached. No unvoting will save the person at that time, however you may also
    Vote: no lynch
    if you so choose.
  4. NEW
    :
If a deadline has been imposed, any potential lynchee must have 50% of the cast votes, and no less than half the normal majority needed (if 9 people live, 5 votes are needed for a regular lynch, and 50% of any votes cast, minimum 3, for a deadline-lynch).
I will provide examples of how many are needed to lynch if you are under a deadline.
  5. Do not discuss the game outside of this thread unless your role PM explicitly says that you may.
  6. Don't quote any PMs from me directly in thread. Likewise, once you are dead, stop talking; you can say your piece once the game is over.
  7. Don't edit/delete your posts, even if you have the privileges to do so. It violates the integrity of the game and can screw up the game thread. I will take care of duplicate posts accidentally made by the forum or by double-clicking.
  8. Any questions about vote counts, (your) role mechanics, etc - PM me. Any questions about replacements or prods for players, mention it in thread. You may preface them with
    mod:
to catch my eye, if that helps.
  9. Treat this game as a commitment, to me and your fellow players. If you're going to be gone more than 72 hours on a non-weekend, let us know. I reserve the right to replace you, but the players reserve the right to lynch you first.
  10. Remember, it's a game. It's supposed to be fun. It's supposed to be interactive. Do your part.

Sorry, re-sent it. Anyone else who hasn't got a PM by now, let me know, just in case the site ate it.

Found a couple more. That makes 20, though, so it should be right. *pokes site with a stick*

The Star shines brightly in the east, lighting the way to the Nativity scene. All is not silent this night, however, as an unearthly scream rends the darkness. When daybreak comes, you find bits of ephemera and celestial goo all over the stable wall. Who could perpetrate such a ghastly deed?

PookyTheMagical Bear, a choir of Cherubim (Backup Doc), was hacked to pieces Night One.

It is now Day One; with nineteen of you alive, it will take 10 votes to lynch.

In other news, a trumpet descends from the heavens and blares out fanfare in such a racket than none of you can miss it.

When the fanfare ends, a Voice sayeth:
  • BabyJesus (no, the player, not the Christ) is a wicked sinner in the eyes of the Lord Mod.

----

Indeed, angels take a while to kill, and archangels even moreso. But the will of the group is not to be denied, and
VisMaior, better known as the Archangel Gabriel
, is strung up by the town, and sent unceremoniously back to Heaven.

His last words?
"Hast thou seen Hell? Thou shalt."

VisMaior, the Archangel Gabriel (Cop), was lynched by the group Day One.

It is now Night Two; choices are due by midnight on Thursday, November 3rd.

The little town of Bethlehem did not have deep and dreamless sleep last night, it appears.

Some time during the night,
PeaceBringer
apparently wandered out into the dangerous streets, pursuing an unholy mission. "Excuse me, sir," he said to a shadowy figure, "Have you heard about Science and Reason?" He tried to press a pamphlet into the figure's hands, but in doing so, failed to notice the woodsman's axe the figure held. *WHAP* went the axe, and PeaceBringer fell to the street, shorter for the length of his legs below the knees. You find him - well, her - bled out in the street, surrounded by copies of Darwin's "The Origin of the Species" and Bertrand Russell's "Why I Am Not a Christian".

PeaceBringer, Madalyn Murray O'Hair (
American Atheists
Cult Leader), was chopped off at the knees Night Two.

The world is rid of a noted atheist, but s/he was not the only one to fall in the night. In front of a manger, you find BabyJesus (the player, not the Christ-child) face down in the street, his neck broken, and hoofprints on his head. He holds in his cold, dead hands, a box of gold that never made it to the Christ child. He follows yonder star no more.

BabyJesus, Balthasar the Magi (Mason), was trampled to death Night Two.

it is now Day Two; with sixteen alive, nine votes will lynch.

Also, Werebear replaces Coron, effective whenever he picks up his role PM.

With nine votes finally accumulated,
!Chucklez!
isn't amused as he climbs the gallows. However, it would seem he has the last laugh, as the keys to the inn fall out of his pocket as his neck snaps.

!Chucklez!, the Innkeeper (Protective Roleblocker), was lynched Day Two.

It is now Night Three; choices are due by Thursday, November 10th, at noon.

Love and the true Christian spirit must be in the air; inexplicably, no one has died over the course of the night.

However, the keys to the inn, which were left on the ground last night, show up in a pile of manure in the morning. Still, nobody wants to touch them.

It is now Day Three; with fifteen of you alive, eight votes will be required to lynch.

Due to the dropoff in posting, I am imposing a
retractable deadline for Wednesday, November 23rd, at midnight
. Using plurality voting rules, the
minimum number of votes required for deadline lynch will be 5
; however that person must have at least 50% of the
cast votes
. If 7 other votes are scattered elsewhere, no lynch will occur. An uptick in posting will result in a retraction of the deadline.

Since there are 15 players,
a normal lynch may still be achieved at any time by 8 votes on one person.
Any questions, let me know.

At this point, Werebear has five votes, but there are six elsewhere as well. Hope that makes sense. If your post average stays up significantly, I may rescind the deadline before Wednesday.

Page Seventeen Vote Count
, powered by The Count-Counter 2000:

Werebear - 6 (darquiel, Fritzler, Squonk, This is not me, rajrhcpfreak, Puzzle)

Squonk - 1 (NanookTheWolf)
SSB! - 1 (dybeck)
dybeck - 1 (SSB!)

Not voting - 6 (Iammars, Astronaut, Tyfo, Thoth, Werebear, TonyMontana)

The minimum number of votes required for deadline lynch (Wednesday, midnight) will be 5
; however that person must have at least 50% of the
cast votes
. If 7 other votes are scattered elsewhere, no lynch will occur. Since there are 15 players,
a normal lynch may still be achieved at any time by 8 votes on one person.
At this point, Werebear has enough votes to be lynched in ~35 hours.

I had considered lifting the deadline, but your posting is still quite intermittent; I will show you later the data I keep for this sort of thing. I will, however, prod those few who are not posting currently.

Final Day Three Vote Count
, powered by The Count-Counter 2000:

Werebear - 9 (Fritzler, Squonk, This is not me, rajrhcpfreak, Puzzle, TonyMontana, Tyfo, darquiel, Thoth)

Squonk - 1 (NanookTheWolf)
SSB! - 1 (dybeck)
dybeck - 1 (SSB!)

Not voting - 3 (Iammars, Astronaut, Werebear)

-------------------------------------------------------

As suspicion mounts, Werebear seems to be otherwise occupied. Hours before the deadline, a lynch mob forms to do the job right, if a little more enthusiastically than was strictly necessary. Getting him up on the scaffold is a tough job, as he's a big man...big, jolly, and fiercely angry about the whole affair.

Werebear, Santa Claus (Godfather) was lynched Day Three.

It is now Night Four; in light of the Thanksgiving holiday in the USA, choices are due by Monday, Nov. 28th, at midnight.

A long and unsilent night, as the screams of the fallen pierce the darkness. Strangely, one noise seems to ascend from the earthy plane to the heavens, and the other rushes downward from above to below.

In the morning, you find a single feather, made of a golden metal, on the ground in the town square. Outside of town, you find an animal's mangled corpse in a shallow crater. What has happened here??

Astronaut, a choir of Seraphim - and the Doctor - was chopped to bits Night Four.
Thoth, the Donkey (and a Vigilante) was dropped from a great height Night Four.

SSB! was replaced by d8P during the night as well.

With 12 of you alive, 7 votes will cause a lynch.

Final Day Four Vote Count
:

Iammars - 7 (d8P, Puzzle, Fritzler, rajrhcpfreak, darquiel, Squonk, This is not me)

Not voting - 5 (Iammars, TonyMontana, Tyfo, NanookTheWolf, dybeck)

------------------------------------------------------------
Though everyone looked, not a fleecy curl could be seen on Iammars. Surrounded on all sides by the vengeful mob, he took another tack.

"Look, you don't want to do this," he cried. "You don't understand! I'm the Light of the World, Savior of Mankind! I was born of a virgin moth--" He backed away quickly, and in so doing, dropped a short sword from the folds of his robes. The sword shone with the celestial effluvia of angels. A bit of a feather stuck disconsolately to the flat of the blade.

This was all the town needed. "Lynch him!", they shouted as one.

Iammars, Mithras (an Old God and Serial Killer), was lynched Day Four.

It is now Night Five; choices are due by Friday, December 2nd, at noon.

If there were any shepherds watching their flocks by night this night, they might have seen a horrible, horrible thing. However, any shepherd that should have been watching their flocks by night within a thousand mile radius would likely have come into town with the "See the Christ Child" charter tour, so nobody saw a blessed thing.

When you all roll out from whatever room, stable, or bolt-hole you slept in last night, though, you certainly do see something:
This is not me
, lying on the rough streets of Bethlehem in a more-or-less recognizable puddle of goo. He has been pulverized, as if from a great fall. He was wearing a somewhat uncharacteristic blue robe, and shattered bits of what might have been a halo lie near his head.

This is not me, the Arguably Virgin Mary (Cop), is dead.

It is now Day Five; with ten of you present, six votes will be enough to lynch.

Oh, yea, I noticed that last night, and was wondering about that.
Mod? Is it correct that pb isn't red? Or a mistake?

I've seen pro town cults before, infact, I kind of like them.
It's a mistake of sorts, yes; each color should represent a different faction, so the Cult is now indigo. Never had one before, so I forgot to colorize them.

Tyfo - 6 (Squonk, Fritzler, rajrhcpfreak, Puzzle, TonyMontana, diggy)

Not voting - 4 (d8P, Tyfo, NanookTheWolf, darquiel)

As night falls, Tyfo is led to the scaffold. "Don't you think a man whose virgin wife suddenly catches pregnant might be a little suspicious about things? I mean, don't do this, I know things! I can help you," he cries, somewhat feebly.

But it is too late. They string him up, no further questions asked.

"Remember what I told you," he croaks...

Tyfo, Joseph (Cop) is dead due to lynching.

It is now Night Six; choices are due by Monday, Dec. 12th, but we'll dawn sooner if all choices are in over the weekend.

Puzzle's nightly ventures out of the stable were mainly to relieve the boredom of being a barnyard animal. Chew, ruminate, digest, excrete, sleep; chew, ruminate, digest, excrete, sleep. Sometimes you got to pass something through that was totally indigestible, for variety; mostly it was the same thing, day in, day out.

Until the night he got hacked off at the haunches by an unseen assailant, of course. Then he wasn't bored any longer. Really, he wasn't anything any longer.

Puzzle, a Sheep (Townie), was cut down Night Six.

With eight alive, five votes will be enough to lynch.

Effective immediately, VisMaior the Second replaces darquiel.
Given the circumstances of his death originally, this should be acceptable to the wait for someone totally new. However it's not like he won't have time to read up...

Day Seven Vote Count, Final:

rajrhcpfreak - 5 (Fritzler, d8P, Fiasco, TonyMontana, Squonk)

darquiel/VisMaior II - 1 (rajrhcpfreak)

Not voting - 2 (VisMaior II (was darquiel), mikeburnfire)
------------------------------------------
The close-knit group swirls with suspicion and intrigue, as they begin to narrow things down. A guy with an obviously Eastern European nickname (too many consonants) is pointed out, and the votes begin to accumulate. When things look decided and he's being led up the gallows, a large woodsman's axe falls out from under his coat. Oops. Well, maybe he was Germanic; either way, he's clearly scum!

rajrhcpfreak, Mr. Tannenbaum (Mafioso), was lynched Day Seven.

Fritzler's flock (and his friends, and his enemies for that matter) had dwindled over the past several days, so he didn't have much to do anymore. However falling from the skies at a fatal rate of speed was not high on his to-do list. Someone else had other ideas, though....

Fritzler, a Shepherd (Townie), fell from the skies Night Eight.

The pack mules are circled. The census has been taken. The star in the East has gone back to normal. And with a cheerful retort, the last member of the Holiday Mafia climbs the gallows.

VisMaior (La Befana, Mafioso), was lynched Day Eight.

The game is now over. The town (and the Baby Jesus) win!

I'll post roles and night actions shortly. First I want to thank VisMaior for stepping into a practically unwinnable situation, even though he didn't know it. I think he was just dying to get in since his ignoble D1 death. :D

Baby Jesus -- d8P
(was SSB!)
You are the Baby Jesus. You're what this whole great rigmarole is all about. Later, you'll grow up to preach love, tolerance, and a better way of life. Following that, they'll nail you to a tree for it. Much, much later, millions of people will be persecuted in your name. Doesn't that make you want to cry? Well, here's your chance to get even. When you are targeted for some night actions, the perpetrators will look upon your tender and mild face (radiant beams optional) and be overcome with the desire to spend some time feeding the hungry and helping old ladies cross the street. Therefore, their action will fail.
You win with the Town.
Note: Only blocks the first action which targets him per night. No choice as to which action it is. He does not know this.

Mary -- This is not me
You are the arguably virgin Mary. You've been spending your time wandering from house to house, heavy with child, looking for… well, preferably an inn, but you'll take whatever you can find. You may investigate one player each night to learn their alignment. Should you discover the Baby Jesus, you will learn His role as well as His alignment.
You win with the Town.
Note: Naïve Cop; she thinks everybody is innocent. She will, however, find the baby Jesus correctly.

Joseph – Tyfo
You are Joseph, husband-to-be of Mary, and surrogate father of the Baby Jesus. As you might imagine, your "virgin" fiancée giving birth to a healthy baby boy has made you more than a little suspicious. You may investigate one player each night and learn their alignment.
You win with the Town.

Caspar -- mikeburnfire (was diggy (was dybeck))
You are Caspar, one of the Three Magi who have trekked a very, very long way, following yonder star, and whatnot. You are cranky, tired, and smell a bit of frankincense. Sadly, your Magihood extends you no special abilities. You are, however, aware of the identities of your fellow-travellers: You may consider yourself a Mason, with ______ & _______.
You win with the Town.

Melchior -- TonyMontana
You are Melchior, one of the Three Magi who have trekked a very, very long way, following yonder star, and whatnot. You are cranky and tired, and this idea about carrying a box of gold all the way to Bethlehem has long since gotten old. Sadly, your Magihood extends you no special abilities. You are, however, aware of the identities of your fellow-travellers: You may consider yourself a Mason, with ______ & _______.
You win with the Town.

Balthasar -- BabyJesus
You are Balthasar, one of the Three Magi who have trekked a very, very long way, following yonder star, and whatnot. You are cranky, tired, and smell a bit of myrrh. Sadly, your Magihood extends you no special abilities. You are, however, aware of the identities of your fellow-travellers: You may consider yourself a Mason, with ______ & _______.
You win with the Town.

Gabriel -- VisMaior
You are the Archangel Gabriel. You swoop about the heavenly spheres, making important pronouncements, delivering news of the weird, and seeing into the hearts of man, knowing their sins (which are many) and their virtues (which are few). Each night, you may investigate one player to learn their alignment. When you have determined whether or not your target is on the Heavenly Rolls, you may make an announcement of your results. If you choose to announce your findings, the Voice of Mod will proclaim them at daybreak, accompanied by trumpets. You do not have to reveal your role in order to make an announcement, but you do have to be alive at daybreak.
You win with the Town.
Note: Humans are wicked (Mary, Joseph, Magi, Sheperds, Innkeeper, and MMO'H), non-humans (Baby Jesus, angels, donkey, sheep, Holiday Mafia, and Mithras) are virtuous.

Donkey -- Thoth
You are but a humble Donkey, beloved of the infant Christ. Faithfully, you carried His mother into Bethlehem, and one day you will bear Him triumphantly into Jerusalem. You would do anything to protect Him. Therefore, you may target and kill one (hopefully scummy and Christ-hating) player each night (but hey, if you happen to miss and off a good Christian townie or two, who'll notice? They're all Two-Legged Oppressors anyway.)
You win with the Town.
Note: "Hoofprints to the forehead" if he kills. may be limited to 4 kills, determined if he asks (will consult with Orbiting).

Sheep (2) -- Fiasco (was NanookTheWolf), Puzzle
Baa! You are a Sheep. You have wandered into Bethlehem with your good friends, the Shepherds, to bear witness to the miracle of birth. Now, regarding your role, there is good news and bad news. The bad news is that as a Sheep, you have no special abilities. The good news is that this game is set in Bethlehem, not Scotland.
You win with the Town.
Shepherd (2) -- Fritzler, Squonk
You are a Shepherd. One night, as you were minding your own business in the fields, quite possibly with a bottle of moonshine, angels of the Lord (whom you probably found to be unnecessarily loud and bright, especially if you were near the bottom of the bottle) came unto you and said: Go Forth To Bethlehem And See Him Who Is Your King, and some other words that were capitalized even though there wasn't any need for it, strictly speaking. So you did go forth, albeit in lower case, and now, here you are. You have no special abilities, but hey, it's a couple of nights in from the wet, isn't it?
You win with the Town.
Innkeeper –- !Chucklez!
You are the Inn-keeper. We'll call you Bob, for short. Bob, you run a very successful little enterprise here in the heart of downtown Bethlehem, renting rooms by the hour or by the night to visiting tourists. Each night, you may choose one player to take a room at the Inn (send your choice to me, not them). This will protect them from being killed by night (the streets of Bethlehem, very dangerous, you know), but will also prevent them from taking any night action they may be entitled to.
You win with the Town.

Cherubim –- PookyTheMagicalBear
You are a choir of Cherubim. You're one of two ranks of angels dispatched to the scene of the Nativity by Mod Above. As the cherubim, you mainly flit about despising the Baroque period for reducing you from the sword-wielding badasses you once were to the fat, ruddy-cheeked child-angels you are today. You begin the game with no special powers, but if your superiors, the Seraphim, are unable to fulfill their duties to Mod, then you will receive new instructions.
You win with the Town.
Following the removal of the Seraphim:
All right, Cherubim, this is the voice of Mod. You're all alone down there without the Seraphim, and that means trouble! You will now assume the role of the Doctor. Once per night, you may target a player to protect from a night kill.

Seraphim –- Astronaut
You are a choir of Seraphim. You're one of two ranks of angels dispatched to the scene of the Nativity by Mod Above. As the Seraphim, you are a powerful protector, or as Quentin Tarantino might say, "A bad mother ****er for the Lord!". Each night, you may target one player and protect that player from a night kill.
You win with the Town.

Santa Claus –- Werebear
(was Coron)
You are the big man in the red suit himself, Santa Claus. This is your holiday this upstart brat is trying to horn in on, and there's no reason why you’ve got to stand for that sort of treatment. You're a corporate giant! People should respect that! So here's the deal. Each night, choose one of your holiday goons, or yourself, to target one player, and, well, hang them by the chimney with care, if you catch my meaning. You are the godfather of the Holiday Mafia, supported by your scummy, scummy crew, _________ (La Befana), and _______ (Mr. Tannenbaum).
You win by eliminating the Town before this Baby Jesus thing catches on.
Note: "Nails them to the mantleplace" if he is the killer.

La Befana –- VisMaior II
(was darquiel)
You're La Befana, an Italian witch who flies around on a broomstick at the holiday season, leaving presents for good little children, and coal for bad little children. You're a figure of legend, and you deserve respect. You just know this Baby Jesus fellow is going to be bad for the witching business someday, so you figure it's better to take him out now, while he's small and helpless. You are a member of the Holiday Mafia. Your partners are _____________(Santa Claus, godfather), and _________ (Mr. Tannenbaum). Each night, your group may target one player, and wrap them in a box with no airholes, if you get my drift.
You win by eliminating the Town before this Baby Jesus thing catches on.
Note: "Drops them from a great height" if she is the killer.

Mr. Tannenbaum –- rajrhcpfreak
You are Mr. Tannenbaum, an obscure Germanic figure who once represented the steadfastness, beauty and power inherent in the evergreen tree. Once you were the cornerstone of the holiday season, but those days are far behind you now. Too many competitors have pushed you out of the limelight, and this Baby Jesus fellow is threatening to be the final axe-blow to bring your popularity careening to earth. Better get rid of him now, while you still can. Each night, your group may target one player, and clear him from the forest, if you know what I mean. You are a member of the Holiday Mafia. Your partners are ____________ (Santa Claus, godfather), and __________ (La Befana).
You win by eliminating the Town before this Baby Jesus thing catches on.
Note: "Chops them down" if he is the killer.

Mithras –- Iammars
Let me break it down for you. You were born in an unlikely place, from a virgin mother, on or about December 25, and you're widely considered to be a representation of the Light of the World, Savior of Mankind, and the Intercessor between God and Man. Guess you know who you are, don't you? That’s right, you're Mithras, a middle-eastern deity of holy warfare worshipped by soldiers and the better sort of politician from the 1st century B.C. to the 5th century A.D. In fact, you bear a striking resemblance to this Baby Jesus fellow in a number of ways, which may come in handy. You think he's sort of a Johnny-come-lately, and he's starting to steal away bits of your mythology, to say nothing of your followers. You've got to put a stop to this, and there's only one way to do it: with the sword. Each night, you may target a player and accept an offering of his or her life's blood.
You are the Serial Killer. You win if you are the last player standing.
Note: Immune to all investigations. "Slits their throat" to kill.

Madalyn Murray O’Hair –- PeaceBringer
You are Madalyn Murray O’Hair, noted advocate of the separation of Church and State, and founder of the American Atheists. You are fully aware that people throughout history have celebrated the winter solstice for purely astronomical purposes, with no need for any sort of deity whatsoever. Your motto might be "Screw the Season, We Need More Reason!". You are here to spread the light of atheism and reject the darkness of superstition. As a Cult Leader, each night, you may target one player to discuss things with in an attempt to win them over to your side (send your choice to me, not them - I will tell you if you were successful).
You win when a majority of the remaining players belong to the Atheists.

Note: 50% chance to recruit non-humans. Dies if recruiting part of the Holiday Mafia or Mithras.
If there is a successful recruitment:
Congratulations, you have let the light of reason shine upon your benighted existence, and are now happily atheistic, along with Madalyn Murray O’Hair and her Cult of American Atheists! You may contact her and any other surviving cultists to discuss at night.

  • mikeburnfire replaced diggy
  • Fiasco replaced NanookTheWolf
  • rajrhcpfreak was lynched
Night Eight:
  • VisMaior II replaced darquiel, then killed Fritzler
Day Eight:
  • VisMaior II was lynched by 4/6 (unanimously)
I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader why the Holiday Mafia lost...not because of SSB!/d8Ρ's invulnerability, (he
never got targeted by a killer the entire game
, despite falsely claiming Mason D1), but because they missed half of their choices!

PeaceBringer didn't fare much better, getting blocked his first night out, and killed the second by an unpleasant supernatural power who didn't believe in atheists.

After Day Five, the town never had another night action (except the Masons), yet somehow THAT was when you started lynching well. Well played, but I can't help feeling that another 2-3 successful kills by the Holiday Mafia could have swung things the other way... :x

Also, there never was a fourth cop. Don't try to outguess the mod. 8)

Glad you all enjoyed it. Orbiting came up with the lion's share of the roles and death scenes (especially the early game ones), so she gets as much credit for any success as I do. She's an idea factory like me, she just hasn't been around to mod something yet (but she's on the Mini Theme list now).

Yeah, what you actually ended up with was a sane cop (Joseph), a naïve cop (Mary), and a modified-insane cop (Gabriel). Since all of the mafia were supernatural beings that he would have read as non-sinners, this could have been a useful role. I was suprised that the group came down to thinking Joseph was the unreliable cop, but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes...

Some of you might be interested in seeing my posting average chart for this game. I'm using a slightly different averaging technique now than I was previously, but you can see some of my rationale for deadlines and the like in this. You only had one, which you didn't end up needing as you rushed to lynch the Godfather (gods, that was unexpected)...
