Somewhere in West Texas, a collection of ne'er do wells and white-hatted hombres is gathering. They're fixing to slap leather, draw iron, and see who will control this worthless patch of scrub. Will you help decide?


This will be a Texas Justice variant, and hence an open setup:

Rules:
  1. Votes must be in bold for them to count, though I would prefer you use the [ vote ] tag: VOTE: Clint. Unvotes should also be bolded so I can spot them easier, but they're not required.
  2. A simple majority of votes (1/2 the number of living players plus one, rounded down) will achieve a lynch and end the Day. Unvoting after that point will not save someone's life.
    If deadline is reached (7 real life days, more or less) with no regular lynch, the required number of votes will be lowered by
    one
    .
  3. Nights will last up to 48 hours, but may be shorter if all night choices are in before the deadline. I will endeavor not to have an entire Night period fall on a weekend.
  4. Dead men tell no tales.
    If you get killed, stop talking until the game is over
    (a single "go <team>"-style post is fine)

  5. Do not discuss this game with other players outside of this thread, unless you have a PM from me specifically stating you can do so.
  6. Do not directly quote any PMs you receive

A rope, a horse, and it's over before the sun even touches the horizon. A casual observer might think that this bunch had done this before... but that would be uncivilized, wouldn't it? In the end, Xalxe's death bodes well for the town, as it puts you one step closer to cleaning up the mess.

As the sun dips below the horizon, PokerFace and scotmany12 face off, and Cogito Ergo Sum squares off with Fate. UltimaAvalon waits with bated breath, knowing that whatever happens, this will be the end...

Cogito Ergo Sum fires first, his bullet striking Fate full in the belly. Blood and bile spill forth as Fate falls to his knees, mortally wounded. PokerFace lets out a yell and braces his shooting iron, making sure to hit scotmany dead on. scotmany's throat explodes in a welter of gore, and he tumbles into the dust, gurgling horribly, gun dropping from unresponsive fingers.

CES's eyes glitter as he contemplates the victory within his grasp, but then he hears Fate whispering:

"I do not aim with my hand; I aim with my eye.
I do not shoot with my hand; I shoot with my mind.
"I do not kill with my gun; I kill with my heart."

And with his dying breath, Fate lifts his gun, which appears to have tripled in weight, and blows the top of Cogito Ergo Sum's head off.

Oh bah - Sudo was one step off from scotscum in my spreadsheet.

Speaking of which:
chamber/InflatablePie killed Katsuki N1.
UltimaAvalon killed InflatablePie N1.
Sudo_Nym killed AGar N1.
Hoopla killed Sudo_Nym N1.
Katsuki killed Hoopla N1.
scotmany12 killed Fritzler N1.

Fritzler and AGar never got to shoot, as Even-Night Vigilantes killed N1.
Xalxe never got to shoot, which may have made quite the difference.
I'm glad you all enjoyed it. I do agree that it isn't entirely broken, though it may be imbalanced (it's certainly swingy as hell, depending on that D1 lynch).

Many of you probably don't know that I had Fate blacklisted before this game. I thought Tex's short deadlines and vig-heavy setup would be an ideal place to give him a try (he's been bugging me not to blacklist him without a chance). Also, I've noticed that Fate has the ability to moderate his posting/caps (even though it makes him slightly crazy on the inside). He's definitely got some astute insights during the game, but I think his posting style makes a lot of people ignore him.
