Remember all of LyingBrian's bullshit saying he can't be scum because he hid a message in his posts saying "my schtick"??? Then he said I should defend him because I know he did this in another game we're in? Well, we lynched LB in that game and he CAME UP SCUM. So his dumb messages prove nothing and I feel like a fool for not lynching him yesterday. (Sorry to Don G for being ALL over you!)LOL
somehow i knew this was going to come up!
if you really think i'm going to start a new schtick and only use that schtick when i'm scum, then i don't know what to say... that makes no sense to me... in fact, i would be ashamed of myself if i made such a huge blunder! i don't know how far the "don't talk about this game outside of this thread" rule goes, but i can give you other games & post #'s where i've done the same thing...so i MUST be scum ALL the time!
this is just a personal schtick that has absolutely nothing to do w/ my role!
P.S. i really don't think you need to apologize to Don Gaetano, elvis_knits... his arguments still have holes, mostly assumptions...-

First of all... Apparently I forgot to Unvote before voting for LyingBrian yesterday, so raj didn't count it in his final vote tally. Not that it mattered, we were still 1 from a lynch anyways.
FOS: elvis_knitsfor supplying incorrect information, etc. I can't believe we ended yesterday with no lynch. I think the lurking players are scum, and they lurked as a reason to end the day with a no-lynch. If this is true, then they could have been protecting LyingBrian....
Ugh, this is hard.-

IF the lurkers were scum, they wouldn't have gained very much From getting a no lynch. Unless LB was maFia (and the lurkers and LB were maFia together) they would have been more than happy to lynch him. My best guess is that they just weren't on in time. I must say that the 1 kill tonight is vastly superior to the three kills previously. Assuming that two diFFerent groups targeted Iammars, that means that we probably have at least 1 group that can kill every night. It is possible that the other groups can only kill every other night or something like that. It is also possible that simply had succesFul docs or that 1 or more groups tried to kill LB and Failed. We won't know for sure until darq gets here and lets us know.-

What incorrect information? I really am sorry for not lynching LB yesterday, but I was telling you as much as I knew at the time. Also...I have to do something right now, but, trust me, it hurts me more than it hurts you. (Tumors hurt, you know?)

Sorry for the long post
-----
Well, I have to admit that my arguments against you are based on assumptions, but unless you have out-of-thread information, more or less all arguments in mafia are based on assumptions. However, I made my assumptions very clear, and nobody has explained to me what part of my assumptions are illogical.LyingBrian wrote:P.S. i really don't think you need to apologize to Don Gaetano, elvis_knits... his arguments still have holes, mostly assumptions...
I'll post my argument one last time to make everything clear.
-----
To make my argument valid, all of the following assumptions must be correct:
1. There's more than one scum group and atleast one serial killer in this game. (If not then 3 nightkills would be hard to explain)
2. Atleast one of the serial killers has to be the only person left in the game to win. (As is usualy the case)
4. LyingBrian can't be nightkilled. (Providing he's telling the thruth)
If those assumptions are correct, then my argument makes it IMHO almost impossible that LB is pro-town, so here goes:
If LB was pro-town and the town didn't lynch him (remember that we started the game with a cop, so his claim could easily have been proven) then the only way a serial killer could win would be if there were 3 scum left in the endgame. (if not, then the best thing a serial killer could hope for is a draw)
Since there's more than one scum group, the scum can kill each other at night, and we can lynch scum during the day. If you combine that with all the other facts in this game, the chances of there being 3 scum left in the endgame are so small that it wouldn't even be funny. (well of course they're higher now than they were when the game started, due to an unfortunate night and a no lynch ) If someone tried to calculate the odds, they would find out just how small the chances of that happening are. Simple logic tells you that it's way to close to zero.
Based on those assumptions and that argument, I'd say it would be a gamebreaker if LB was pro-town and un-nightkillable, and if he lied about his ability then "Lynch a Liar" applies.
Please tell me if I'm missing something here, yesterday a lot of people didn't agree with this argument, if people still don't agree then please tell me what you think is wrong with it. If people do agree with the assumptions, and can't find any mistakes in the argument, then LB more or less has to be scum.
-----
At the end I just want to repeat that I'd really like to know what part of my assumptions and argument people disagree with if they think it's wrong. If I'm mistaken then atleast tell me where the mistake is.-

It's the thought that counts.elvis_knits wrote:What incorrect information? I really am sorry for not lynching LB yesterday, but I was telling you as much as I knew at the time. Besides, Chaos, you never unvoted, so you didn't help much either.
I didn't know you guys were so picky that an Unvote was nessasary before each vote. Voting for another player usually implies unvote.
But, again, we were still 1 vote off even if I did actually vote for lyingbrian.-

Alright, sounds fair. It just seems like a hassle, is all. I'll be sure to make note of it next time.elvis_knits wrote:Chaos:
I've been in NO other games where the mod didn't require an unvote to vote for someone else. I think this rule is standard. If I am wrong, please let me know (everybody).
You still didn't say what incorrect information I supplied, so you get this:
And I was refering to the whole "hey guys we shouldn't lynch lyingbrian!" and then switching your stance on the issue the next day.-

@Don Gaetano:
the only hole in your logic IS the assumptions... if this was a normal game, the i would definitely tend to agree w/ you!
the scum killing scum at night hasn't worked so far, it won't necessarily work in the future! the town has at least a 50% chance of hitting an anti-town role IF we lynch!
oh, i just thought of something... if anybody wants to come forward & claim a resurrection ability, then i will sacrifice myself for the lynch!
ok, onto elvis_knits...
RabidRodents posted a picture of a horse & referenced a tumor
RabidRodents posted a picture of a weather map (i think that's what that is!) of Elizabethtown
elvis_knits posted a picture of the movie poster for Elizabethtown (with a picture of a horse in the background [maybe coincidence, maybe not])
elvis_knits posted a picture of a horse (with an disproportionate ummm, member) [this picture was from a website called sillyTOWN.com, maybe a connection]
elvis_knits posted a picture of a MRI (maybe someother body scan, not too medically savvy) referencing a tumor
elvis_knits posted a picture of the skelatal & muscular layout of a horse & its rider
it looks like they have to be posted 1x per RL week, and a couple insights...
except for RabidRodents pictures both pictures have something in common (a horse & the word TOWN) & (skeletal structure of a human)...
i would venture to guess the images are coming from rajrhcpfreak since all 6 pictures are from totally unrelated sights...
so we have 3 common themes: horses, tumor, Elizabethtown... elvis_knits, can you give us any insight, also does anybody else know or figured out the relevance...-

LB, the pics are not supplied by raj, I have to find them myself. They are supposed to be on the three topics you said: tumor, Elizabethtown and horses. They don't really mean anything to the game except that they hint at my role (I think, I don't know the person that I have). It's just sort of a flavor thing.-

i did an x-ray of a tumor because it is less disgusting than other kinds of pictures of a tumor. I did a "diagram" of a horse, because that is what i am required to do today. My role sometimes requires a "pic," sometimes a "diagram," and sometimes I just have to talk about whatever the topic is (horses, tumors, Elizabethtown).
Have you been to Elizabethtown? I want to go there. I want to meet Orlando Bloom so he can introduce me to his friend Viggo Mortensen. O SNAP! He's already here! Hi RangeroFtheNorth!Talk nerdy to me.

Anyways, does nobody else think that an unkillable townie is overpowered and breaks the game regardless of the setup? I've seen variations (examples: unkillable on odd/even, unkillable by a specific killing group/role) but I have never seen a pro-town role which can't be killed any night by any group. It's not hard to see how it break the game in any setup (unless scum has "special" kill that gets through anyways).-

Raj, could you please prod Logicticus, he hasn't posted for almost a week, but he has been very active in other games.
Maybe a polite PM to Darquiel as well. It's only been a few days but we're still waiting for his report on the night's activity.
-----
I guess there's not much to do untill we hear from them, but we don't want the day to end like yesterday now do we? So let's keep the conversation going. I suggest that everyone who agrees that LyingBrianseemsto be our best lynchat the momentsay so in the thread. Remember 50% of us are scum. So in my opinion our best strategy for today is to have a 3/4 majority that agree on who should get lynched (if possible of course, but we'll face that when we get there).
-----
I'm for lynching LyingBrian at the moment.
Why doesn't everone just write a short post saying if they agree or disagree.-
