The prisoners all huddled together under the outcropping at the entrance to the yard. The rain fired down endlessly on the prison and exploded on impact. Only days earlier the yard was full of laughter and smiles that can only be had when you forget your circumstances and truly enjoy the moment.

Now half the block was dead and there were killers among those left.

"We've searched the cells another three times. We've searched each prisoner every time they enter or exit the yard. There's not a single lead, sir. We have no idea how they are getting out of their cells at night."

"Well they can't start a riot when they are all locked in the yard with snipers trained on them. I finally realized yesterday that they are down there trying to root out the riot starters themselves, and thats what these daily killings have been. Give them until night time in the yard today, and curse this damn rain until it stops."
