The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come to pass, leaving memories ...wait wrong book, Kinetic did that game already.

The Man in Black fled across the desert and the gunsling... damn it definitely wrong book, Martin would never make himself a character in ASOIAF. Let's try this for the 3rd time..

Prologue

Ned stood on the platform. Silent. He had admitted to a crime he had not committed, which went against his principles as a Stark and as a man. He knew it was for the good of his family. He sighed, a life on The Wall wasn't so bad compared to what could have happened. After all Jon and his brother Benjen were there. He thought of Winterfell then, knowing he would never see it again, knowing he would serve on the wall, and very likely die on the wall.

The crowd watched, waiting patiently for the proclamation. Ned barely looked at them. He knew what was going to happen. He thought of Winterfell again, the crypt which held all his ancestors. How he'd miss Lyanna, her voice echoed in his mind then 'Promise me Ned'. He knew he'd have to tell Jon the truth eventually, but there'd never been a good time. Ned thought of Cat and his children. Sansa and Arya would be safe, by doing this he'd ensure their safety and the safety of his sons, or so he hoped.

A breeze blew, carrying some words to Ned's ear but he ignored them, he was almost looking forward to taking the black, was Ned. No more politics. No more playing the Game of thrones, something he knew he wasn't suited for. He almost longed to be on the wall, wind in his hair, sword in hand. The sooner this was over with the better.

Robert had been brought down by being King, ending up a pale shadow of his former self and dying. Ned reflected then, knowing how lucky he was to have gotten away with his own life.

He saw the 'King' stand up then. Ned would have sneered if he'd been the type, instead his expression remained emotionless. (cos ya know Ned's a statue). Ned looked out as the crowd gazed expectantly on their new King. A boy, not yet a man. Ned wasn't sure if he'd ever truely be a man, there was something wicked in Joffrey, definitely a Lannister at heart.

Ned listened as Joffrey began to speak to the crowd.

"My mother bids me let Lord Eddard take the black and Lady Sansa has begged mercy for her father." the King said. Ned looked around, trying to see Sansa then, as Joffrey continued.

"But they have the soft hearts of women. So long as I am your King, reason shall never go unpunished. Ser Ilyn, bring me his head!" Joffrey said looking towards Ned, a grin on his face. Ned was shocked, it couldn't end like this. He struggled briefly as he was brought to the platform and held down. It happened so fast as Ned felt the blade bite through his neck. He imagined he heard Arya of all people call out then. He guessed he'd see Robert sooner than he thought..and by the time that thought had entered his mind, it was his last.

1) The site-wide rules apply, please read them and don't do anything stupid.
2) Unless it is explicitly stated in your role PM that you can do so, do not talk about this game outside of the game thread.
3) Do not quote any communication you have with me, the moderator of the game. Depending on the circumstance, you may be able to paraphrase things I have sent you (such as a role PM). Use common sense and if you are unsure feel free to ask me via PM.
4) Be courteous to your fellow player. This is just a game - please don't bring personal grudges into the game. Try and keep it civil.

5) For your vote to be counted, it must be bold, and in the form

Caps and colons are optional, but it does need to be bolded.
6) Unvotes aren't necessary, but will be appreciated.
7) A lynch will occur when a player achieves 50% +1 of the votes. When this has happened, any subsequent votes and unvotes will not be counted, and the game will enter twilight. Night will begin as soon as I have declared the lynch.
8) You may vote for a ‘no lynch’ if desired. If a majority of the players in the game vote for a no lynch, the game will progress to night without a lynch.
9) Once you're dead, you are dead. Do not post in the thread until the game is over, not even a 'bah' post.

10) Treat this game as a commitment, and try your best to stay active.
11) Prods will be issued after three days in a row without posting. If I keep having to prod you I'll get angry and replace you. Players may request a prod on another player too, I'm human I may forget so if you want someone prodded just tell me.
11a) If you do not open a prod within 24 hours of it being sent I will begin looking for a replacement.
12) Things come up in life, if you need time off for something, please let myself and the players know in-thread for V/LA purposes. I will be flexible, but if you can't be here for a significant amount of time I will replace you.
13) Deadlines for each game day will be

3 weeks.

14) In the event of a deadline ending without a player gaining a majority of votes, there will no lynch. We don't do less than majority here in Westeros.
15) Nights will have a 72 hour deadline. If you fail to send in a night choice, I will automatically default to 'no choice' for that night, and you will do nothing.
16) Deadlines will only be extended if I need a number of replacements, or barring some other freak circumstances. Apart from that laziness, or anything else, will not result in a deadline extension.

Day 1

Varys sat in his spartan cold bed chamber. This morning had not gone as planned and Lord Stark’s death would send threads rippling out in many directions. There would be war, and death, and the innocent would suffer.

First things first, while the lords, nobles and influentials argued and fought, the innocent must be protected, someone must be placed in charge, even if only temporarily. Eddard Stark’s death had left an opening, a new Hand of the King must be chosen. But which King would he speak for and, more importantly, which King would he kill for.

Day 1 has now begun.

There will be two simultaneous voting processes.
You will vote for a lynch as usual.

vote: Eddard

or

lynch: Eddard

will be accepted for this.

The second vote will be to raise a new Hand of the King.

raise: Eddard

will be accepted for this. Similarly

unraise

will be accepted.

A Hand of the King will be raised when there is a simple majority (i.e. 14 votes). Alternatively, whoever has the most ‘raise’ votes at the time of the Day 1 lynch, will be raised.

Whichever method is used, the Hand of the King will become a double voter from the beginning of Day 2. The Hand may split the two votes. Both votes will be public.
The Hand may not be stripped of his title in any way. A new Hand will not be chosen on the Hand’s death.

Varys sat and delicately ate an orange, first removing all hint of peel before taking a sharp knife to slice it into bite sized pieces. He deliberated over the information his little birds had brought him. Somewhere in the seven kingdoms a Hand had been raised. As the sun approached the horizon, and night threatened to arrive, Varys wondered what kind of Hand this one would be. Would he act for justice or power? Would he live til the end, or, like so many Hands before him, would he not even survive the night?

Chapter 1/End of Day 1

Jon stepped outside in to the cold air. This Craster was fucking disgusting. He grimaced at the thought of what was going on here, in this house, and his inabillity to stop it. Still the Old Bear was right, they needed all the help they could get. Who knew what they were facing out there, they had enough enemies and precious little supplies and man power.

An attack from the Wildings could come at any time. Jon shuddered then. Or worse. Wights.

Jon looked around, worrying where Ghost was. He’d been gone since they rode in to Craster’s place and Jon was starting to worry. Through he could go off at any time but he was usually back before dark.

Jon strode out across the camp in search of Ghost. Come to think of it he’d not seen Sam in a while too.

As he walked by a group of men surrounding a fire he heard murmurs.

‘Fucking Northen Savage, about time he got what he deserved’. Jon spun quicklly staring a whole through the man in question. ‘What was that you said? Something about a Northen Savage’ he asked quietely.

‘I suppose you Dornish are much more civillised’ Jon said sarcastically walking towards the man at the fire. The man looked around nervously at his companions. ‘Er there’s been a misunderstanding, we weren’t talking about you’ he said rising to his feet, looking wearily at John.

‘I’m sure it was the other Northerner walking by you meant then was it’ Jon said as he began to advance on the group.


‘Jon, Jon wait!’, Jon spun around to see his friend Samwell Tarly running towards him panting and wheezing, looking like he’d just been out running for a day. Jon of course knew better, it was very likely Sam had just began to ran when he saw him.

Sam slowed down to a walk and stopped to take a breath. Ignoring his brothers in black looks towards Sam, Jon walked towards him to see what had him in such a panic.

‘The Wind..’ Sam paused to take a breathe as Jon stood over him while he breathed in and out.

‘I heard your conversation, it wasn’t you they were speaking of, I’m surprised you haven’t heard’ Sam said.

‘Heard what?’ Jon asked impatiently.

‘The war - well it’s had it’s first victim, and there’s a new Hand too’ Sam explained.

‘A new Hand? They’ve replaced…Ned so soon?’ Jon asked.

Sam looked at him sadly, sympathy in his eyes. ‘Yes, some guy by the name of Percy’. Jon nodded, the news wasn't unexpected when he thought about it. The Kingdom needed a Hand.

‘Someone’s dead you say? Who is it?’ he asked curious as to if someone else he knew had died.

‘It was Jon Umber, or Greatjon as he was apparently better known’ Sam went on.

‘Greatjon?’ ‘How did that happen’ Jon was shocked. He’d heard of the war, of course. But the Old Bear hadn’t convinced it’d come to blows. It obviously had. Shit.

‘Yeah, he was riding his horse and failed to identify himself soon enough, Imagine if he’d only decided to say who’d he’d been he might very well have lived. People are shocked he could be that stupid. Riding along in the near dark, people took him for a threat.’

‘My father always said Greatjon was more brave than smart, unfortunately’ Jon smiled, a sad smile. Still he couldn’t let himself be distracted. He was a man of the nightwatch. He’d given up all that. They had a job to do here north of the wall. Something that was more important than the petty squabbles of King's.

‘SNOW? SNOW WHERE ARE YOU?’ a voice exclaimed. Jon sighed. ‘I guess the Old Bear wants me. Get some sleep Sam’ he said as he patted his friend on the shoulder, before walking away.

Jon walked back to the house, to see what his Lord Commander wanted.

Elsewhere a Spider tittered in delight. Blood had been spilled.

Varys waited until the sound of the counter weighted stone had ceased with a grinding thud before opening the papers. The soft pitter pat of his little birds would be already heading down the secret corridors and back to their listening and watching points.
He sighed sadly as he read through the documents, so much death already. Did these kings with their dreams care what came from then? No, no more than a giant stepping on an anthill.

was found dead in front of a small hastily made altar. His own knife plunged into his heart. Rumour had the man as a hired killer, so Varys barely paused before reading further into his papers.

was found in his chambers with his tongue blue and his eyes wide. One of the more painful poisons of Lys. The commoners of the city would be angry to hear him killed in such a way, he was a favourite of the people.

, self annointed king of the Iron Isles. He was found, savagely hacked to death. Varys wondered if they would start referring to it as the War of Four Kings now...

His last piece of paper was probably the most disturbing, although it would probably be ignored by those who played their precious game of thrones. The people of the city were restless. They were hungry, angry, hot and restless. Varys decided he would not be leaving the keep's walls today.

Varys looked with concerned thought out of the window. Rumours, reports and first eye accounts were streaming into the castle to the extent that he didn't even need the whispers of his little birds. The commoners were growing louder in their resentment and their anger. Food was scarce and, worse, the cheapest wine and ale had grown expensive. The death of the much loved Ser Loras did nothing to calm the people and a spate of assaults and murders had occured.
To make matters worse, most of the nobles were not in the safety of the castle, having been called by the obligations of their class and blood to attend the docks. They were obligations that Varys himself chose not to feel today, not with the dangers that currently lay in the city.

Sam looked across at the men as they practised their archery. He wanted nothing more than to join them, talk with them,

‘Aye, let’s see if Pigs can shoot a bow’ said another one of the men as they grabbed him by the neck and put the bow in his hands.

‘Shoot Piggy, or it may be we want bacon to end the day’ said another as Sam nervously picked the bow up.

Nervously Sam held the bow,hurting his fingers as he drew it back notching an arrow and readying to shoot. He let go and sighed in dismay as the wind caught it, missing the target by quite a length.

‘What did I tell you boys? Pigs can’t shoot’ said Chett as he grabbed Sam's by his belly and made pig noises. Sam could see the look in his eyes. It was the same look his Lord Father had given him.

Sam tripped over a bow and crawled away, as they began to do impressions of a pig using a bow and asked him if he tasted good roasted. His face was red as he eventually found his feet and set off to the ravens. Jon Snow's words echoed in his mind then.

‘At least you do not mock me’ he said aloud as he came up to the cages of the birds and began to feed them.

Sam looked around and saw a bird incoming with something tied around it’s leg.
After managing to settle the bird and feed it he took the scroll and read it. Then read it again just to make sure he'd not made a mistake.

The Old Bear would have to hear this immediately Sam thought as he took the piece of parchment and went off to find the Lord Commander. Shitting gold had obviously not been enough to buy the mob off Sam thought to himself. Perhaps being craven would have saved Danakillsu.

Hotah stood at the gate, axe in hand eyeing the approaching man, but still relaxed. He had no doubt if it came to it he could take most men down easily. Even the Mountain that Rides would rue messing with Hotah.

The man clambered from his horse, sweat dripping from his brow. He had obviously been riding hard. Hotah shielded his eyes against the sun as he walked towards the man, his hand never leaving his axe.

'I've come to see the Prince' the man said, tiredly. 'I have news' he said eyeing Hotah wearily.

'The Prince has no wish to be disturbed, he is watching the children playing in the water gardens' Hotah said. He knew his Prince seldom liked to be disturbed by people.

The man waved the paper in his face. 'I've came all the way from King's Landing, it concerns the Lannisters, the boy king in particular' he said keeping well away from Hotah and the keenly honed axe.

Hotah considered briefly before allowing the man through and bringing him to the Prince.

Hotah nodded as his Prince looked up in surprise. 'Yes Captain' he asked, curious as to what had brought the intrusion.

'This man brings news..from King's Landing' he said nodding towards the messenger.

The man came forward bowing. He stumbled over the words quickly, Hotah was only half listening. More concerned with his Prince's safety than anything else. By the end Prince Martell had sat up and was deep in thought. 'Thank you' he said, 'this news may change a lot'.

He beckoned Hotah forward then asking him to send some words of condolences to the Lannisters. 'It's not easy...losing family like that' Prince Martell allowed speaking the words slowly, 'Oberyn will be..delighted at this news, perhaps it'll even quench his thirst for revenge for a while' he said, to Hotah. Hotah had his doubts, he didn't think anything would put a stop to the Red Viper's desire for revenge on the Lannisters.

'Is that it my Prince' Hotah asked. 'Is there anything more I can do?' he asked as he watched the messenger leave.

'Why..no what can we do? Vengeance comes. Fire and Blood he said quietly. Almost to himself, but Hotah heard.

Asha stepped off her ship. She'd been at sea for a while, but in order to keep up her appearances as a good citizen she needed to at least pretend to do her duty as the Hand of The King.

She would be the first Queen of the Iron folk. Her father had wanted her to succeed him and she intended to fullfill his wishes. As she stepped on to dry land she felt a presence though. Something that made her fear for her safety.

Turning around she saw something lunging for her! She felt the beast's teeth sink into her throat as she fell to the ground, being knocked over with immense force.

She felt her lifeblood drain for her, just glad to die so close to the Sea. Her last thoughts were of how the Drowned God would reuinite her with her father soon. The Seastone Chair would sit no Queen. Not now, and perhaps never again. The Hand of The King had been killed.

In regards to the use of caps: We will not confirm that we did or did not include the caps, or even those words, in any PM to any player. The High Septon watched as the sun set over the seven hills of King's landing. The septas renewed their chant as a single figure knelt before the altar, the others were all outside. He grimaced silently at the blasphemy taking place outside. A hasty gibbet was being constructed beneath the steps. At least the gibbet was not being constructed

on

the steps, he had argued that much. But with his predecessor recently dead, his power did not extend very far, apparently not 3 feet from the steps of the High Sept.

The gathering crowd had argued long into the day, and as the sun reached the horizon, a woman was dragged outside and strung up. Woman? The poor thing was a girl more than anything else, whether she'd had her first moonblood or not. How could anybody think such a slip of a thing could be guilty.
He watched through a stain glass window as her body was hoisted up on the impromptu construction. She struggled for a moment, tears streaming down her face in fear. He said a prayer for the stranger to take her swiftly to the Mother's arms. She would be with her father soon.

Cersei looked around at the people at the table. She held her wine cup in her hand as she gazed with contempt at everyone wanting to get in her good graces. Her father dead, Joffrey dead. Her brave lion, Joffrey. He had always been her favourite. Of course a mother couldn’t admit that. Not that she saw herself as a mother first and foremost. She was a Lion of Castelry Rock, and while Lord Tywin had been a great man she knew she too was destined for greatness.

She downed the wine in a gulp and pushed herself away from the table. Imbeciles one and all. Did they think she didn’t know? Did they think she was stupid? (lol she is though, cmon) It was obvious there had been someone here who had caused the death of her son Joffrey. A Lannister always pays their debts though. They will tremble in fear of me before too long.

As she walked along she saw a brutish looking man fall, too drunk to stand. He reminded her of Robert. She wondered idly if she could have him arrested on some charge in the morning. She would see to it later. The memory of Robert had sickened her. She needed more wine.

She heard snatches of conversation, something about a man of the night's watch having been found dead and a young girl been hacked to pieces outside the city. Good riddance she thought.

Everything was going well, the Lannisters would be the ones who came out best from this god forsaken war. It may have once been known as he War of the Five Kings but perhaps she would make sure history remembered it as the Crowning of Queen Cersei. After all who could really oppose her. She definitely needed more wine though.

She turned the corner when suddenly she heard a sound behind her! She turned to see what was ...then everything went black.

The Pyromancer's had fucked up. Sure they practised their craft and it was useful...but when one of them makes a big mistake well, it creates a situation.

They'd let their wildfire spread and now half the city was on fire, with the other half in danger. Even the palace. Evacuation was called for!

Unfortunately there are 13 people left stranded! You guys! Well luckily there's a boat right? Well not lucky for everyone. The boat only holds 11 people.

Guess that means 2 people need to die today! That means a double lynch. However it's not a double day, both lynches will occur at the same time.

A majority will mean a lynch, and when a majority is reached the person with the second most amount of votes will be lynched. if 2 players are tied for second then the person who reached that amount first will die a fiery death. Yep, you didn't even try and fit an extra person in the boat, it's a double lynch today.

Chapter 8 - Varys

Varys scrambled aboard the row boat, strong hands roughly hauling him inside with the grace of a sack of potatoes, well, a sack of potatoes with soaked robes.

He clung to the side of the boat, looking at the docks as the boat drifted further away. One more boat remained on pier and there was an argument breaking out. Harsh voices drifting along with the smoke, "You're not welcome on this boat, scum." Suddenly, before a reply could be made, somebody in that boat shoved it free of the docks and the current carried it quickly away. Two silhouetted figures could be seen on the docks. One turned towards the flames, dropped to his knees and prayed. The other pulled off his helmet and howled at the skies like an animal.

Theon looked back as the city still burned. What an experience that’d been. Still he’d been in no danger of being left behind. Everyone thought they’d needed him. He’d hinted so much that they’d been convinced he was out to help them. He smiled at the thought.

His sister had been too clever for her own good, he’d been happy to hear she’d fell to an animal attack. Only the strong survive in the Iron isles. A woman could never be in charge. The Iron Folk had no Queens, and I…I shall be their next King he thought proudly. A Raven flew overhead. He notched an arrow quickly, let fly and pierced it’s heart. Dead raven.

He looked across as a man watched him. Theon stared, he recognised the man vaguely, he’d been the one who’d managed to identify his sister as a Greyjoy. Theon nodded. ‘Impressive wasn’t it?’ he asked, half mocking the man.

‘Oh yes a most impressive skill’ the man replied drly. 'I bet that proves useful when someone's galloping at you on horseback.' he quipped.

‘I can just as easily pierce a man’s heart you know’ Theon replied mockingly.

The man laughed at that. ‘Surely you jest?’ he asked’. ‘I find most men dislike dying, immensely. In fact they get rather ferocious and well, violent if you suggest their time is up, plus they tend to be wearing armour, but I'm sure that's no problem for someone...of your talents' his discsussion partner jested back.

Theon shrugged, uncomfortable talking to someone who’s wit seemed to surpass his own (he’s usually too dumb to notice). He notched another arrow, and looked for a target.

It was then he felt a burning sensation in his throat. He needed water. Now. His throat was on fire. He put his head into the salty water to quench the fire, but to no avail.

‘No, No NO this can’t happen to me’ Theon said desperately, his hair dripping. ‘Help me’ he screamed at the man sitting in the boat across from him. The man stood up to come closer when Theon felt the pain become unbearable. So he did what anyone would do. He passed out.

Never to wake up.

Of course if he HAD woke up he’d have seen the man was actually trying to help him. Deep down Littlefinger was a good guy (well no, not really he’s a paedo ). Unfortunately he ended up dead too. Drowning. Nasty business.

@Mod: Regarding the stabbing Day 2, did it remove all factional abilities, such as mafia group nightkills? Or just a personal nightkill ability such as an SK's?

In this situation a mafia faction's nightkill would not be affected by a member of said group being stabbed. So, no, it wouldn't remove factional abillities.

Chapter 10 -Davos

Davos walked from the ship having said goodbye to Sallador Saan. He held the pouch that contained his ‘luck’ close to him.Davos rememberd once again how he had all this had started; Stannis had cut off the first joint of each finger on his left hand, Davos knew it was fair. The good he’d done hadn’t removed the bad, each act had to be accounted for.

King Stannis was dead though now. Davos blamed his new found devotion in the red witch. She had never been good for Stannis, in fact she had probably ended up getting him killed the Onion Knight thought. It was her who had turned Stannis from the Seven.

Still Davos had to avenge his king’s death. He had heard rumours about the killings and had went to Saan. Unfortunately Saan himself knew little more than the rumours, strange that, the man was usually the first to come on to a rumour and sift the fact from it. Perhaps the Greyjoys and Lannisters had already wiped themselves out? Davos didn’t know yet but he intended to make damn sure he found out soon.

As he walked from the docks he noticed a man following him. He turned to confront him when he felt someone come from behind. He went to draw his dagger but felt a spear butt collide with his head. The ONION KNIGHT went down like a ton of bricks. The two people grabbed an arm and dragged him away, the blood trickling from the wound on his head.

Davos tried to struggle but they were too strong. He panicked then. His pouch? Where was it, where was his luck?

He was dragged down a narrow alley and pushed to the rubbish strewn ground. He looked around and saw a ring of eight people surrounding him. ‘Time to die you fucking traitor’ one said.

As he tried to stand he saw a sword flash out catching him across the neck. The Onion Knight’s luck had just run out, he died slowly, bleeding out as the mob watched on impassively.

Chapter 11 -Brienne

Brienne of Tarth crept up the stairs towards the White Room. The storm raged outside, rumbling thunder thankfully masking her footsteps up the stone spiral.

The door gave a small squeak as she inched it open. "It's Brienne, are you here, my lord?"
No answer.
The other Kingsguard member was young, true, but he had a sharp mind. As well as other abilities that were proving invaluable.

Brienne walked over to the window and looked out. The so called knights, lords and ladies of Kings Landing were a farce. Murder, politics and intrigue, that's all they cared for. But step by step, day by day, her and her little lord ally were setting things straight.
She turned back into the room, looking for a chair in the gloom, to sit and wait for the boy.

Suddenly a flash of lightning lit up the room and Brienne gasped in horror. Her young ally, Brandon Stark, was dead on the table. His limp body soaking wet and still.

She took a step towards him when a shadow leapt out of the shadows. She felt a sting on her forearm and stepped back, drawing her blade. "Fight me, you child killer!"
"I didn't kill him," a familiar voice said, "and no, I don't think I'll fight you."
"Then die on my...." the blade grew heavier, her armour, heavier, her eyelids, heavier" she fell to the ground.
"That's a good girl" the voice said, "it'll all be over soon.

The last thing Brienne heard was a wolf howling madly, somewhere in the city.

Maester Luwin moved slowly up the winding steps. Step by step, his old bones allowing him to move no faster. He grumbled to himself, depressed. Bran was dead, the small boy who wanted so much to be a knight. These fiends had crippled him and then finally finished the job. He had done what he could for the people of Westeros, for the true nobles, and these fools couldn't see it. Lead to blindness by the villans who had taken over the realm.

His fading ears picked up on them running up the stairwell.

"Your time has come, traitor" one of them called out. It was the word, more than the death sentence that hurt him. He had been a true servant all his life.

They grabbed him by his maester's collar, crafted over years, chain by chain. The tied a rope around one of the links and then threw him out the window.

Irony. That was his last thought. The metal collar represented service. Service had been his life, and now service had taken it.

Renly woke alone. He was lonely now, his rainbow guard had been decimated. He thought of Loras and how he missed him. They'd been the brunt of jokes for years, how neither would ever make a good husband, the sly winks, the whispers. He didn't care that people knew, he always knew he could win almost anyone around if he spoke to them, he had a charisma everyone agreed. Those same people had compared him to Robert, of course Robert was dead now, murdered by the vile Lannisters. Renly knew that he'd make a good King, unlike Robert. He'd be the Baratheon King Robert should have been. Would have been, if not for that vile bitch. Still, he had the satisfaction of knowing she was dead now.

He picked up his cloak (a cloak of all 7 colours of the rainbow, obviously) and exited his tent to go get some water. He arrived at the stream and bent down to get a drink when he turned around to see a figure confront him. A fist caught him straight in the face and everything went black. Everything would stay black too, after all the stream had enough water to drown a person. You don't generally come back from the dead (unless you're the ghost of Eddard Stark PM'ing people during the night about the game that is).

Robb Stark

There were so few of them left now. Too few to hold up against the the Greyjoys and the Lannisters that remained. Irony placed Robb's only remaining ally as Lannister's dog. Constant mistreatment turned Sandor Clegane against his former masters, and Robb hoped that disloyalty would hold. It was unnerving today, how Victarion Greyjoy and Tyrion Lannister discussed so calmly who would come in the night and take care of who. Robb could only hope that their treacherous nature got the better of them.

Robb walked to the Godswood, and prayed.

Night 7 starts now. Let's see what happens.

Robb Stark

The lone wolf dies but the pack survives. Well in this case the pack had perished. Robb strode from the Godswood and slowly put on his armour. It was inevitable, honour had no place in war it seemed. Vile treachery and incompetence had cost him and his alliance and he knew it. He heard the shouts as the Greyjoy's began to get ready for 'war'.

A lone wolf howled. 'Grey Wind, to me' Robb bellowed drawing his sword. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Fuck it, he was done with waiting as he ran to meet them.

Then the howls of the Greyjoys could be heard in the quiet of the night. They were feral. They'd come to destroy, to conquer. He remembered his once friend Theon and what he had done. Robb spat on the ground then as Grey Wind kept pace beside him, the Young Wolf and the direwolf against an army of Kraken. Robb ran forward cutting down 2 men in the blink of en eye.'FOR WINTERFELL' he cried, quickly dispatching the another who'd managed to get in his way. Greywind dived for someone's throat as Robb began to become overwhelmed. Two men surrounded him but they hesitated long enough for Robb to kill one and badly wound the other. Robb noticed a cut along his thigh and cursed. He shouted for Grey Wind to come to him. They'd not go down easily.


A howl went up in the night. Robb

Grey Wind's pain. He could almost see as Grey Wind writhed in agony. A looming figure stepped through the bushes, axe in hand. As he stepped forward the man spoke, taunting Robb. 'I killed your fucking wolf, and you're next boy'. Robb stepped forward and steel met steel. The Young Wolf met the Lord Captain of The Iron Fleet. It would be a tale told in the Iron Isles for years. How the Victarion Greyjoy had slayed the last of the Stark's in single combat. Robb slipped, on the blood of one of the men he'd killed, and that was all that was needed, because as he fell he saw the axe descend as it crushed into his skull. Dead on impact. (then he was drowned just to match the kill flavour). As he lay day there dying Grey Wind died also. Rumour has it both died within seconds of each other.

Victarion

Victarion wiped his blade on Robb's cloak and walked back to the ship. As he did he saw a disfigured figure with his blade half drawn. An ally of Stark's perhaps? It was quite clear he'd not made it to the fight though. His face was bloated. Victarion had seen such things before, it was a Lannister way of dealing with foe. No honour, really he thought. Still effective he considered as he made his way back to his ship.

Tyrion

Tyrion sat at the Small Council table opposite Varys staring at a map of the realm. He sighed. He'd made the best of a bad situation.
His bastard father, his actual bastard nephew and that bitch of a sister were all dead... well to be honest, that was good news.
Tommen was a good lad, he'd make a good king, particularly with Tyrion to guide him. And Jamie was returning home. So Tommen would have a strong Kingsguard.

Tyrion held the medalion of a fist in his stunted grasp... and Tommen would have a strong Hand to guide him.

Back to the map.

To guarantee Tommen the throne, he'd had to give up half the kingdom. Victarion was marching his Ironmen north. Once across the Neck they'd be in their own lands, although he had no idea what that nation would be called yet.

Outside he could hear the cheering. He had had the treasury raided, to donate some money to the commoners who had crept into the ruins of Kings Landing. A vague festival was occurring outside, although the celebration was more about the free bread and wine than any love of Lannister.

That would change in time, Tyrion vowed to himself, but for now, he didn't feel much like celebrating.

So, Lannisters and Greyjoys 'draw'.

What does that mean? Well it means Faraday and I botched the Win Conditions, and this scenario wasn't addressed.

From the Graveyard thread I can see that some people are unhappy with this outcome, declaring that no win condition was met, therefore nobody should win. That's true. There is no outright winner.
However, Macavitar and MagnaofIllusion were in the position to 'decide' the outcome, town (and SSBF) were not in that position, therefore Faraday and I are declaring a 'minor win' to them. Simply because they had the power to survive. I think Magna said it best in one of his posts: He had the power to decide whether town or Macavitar had the chance of outright winning, and he felt that Macavitar earned it more. Clearly Macavitar felt the same way about Magna.

I've deliberately written the end game flavour to appear less victorious, because it's true, they didn't win. But they did what they could.

So, lesson learned. Faraday and I have definitely learned to take more care in writing win conditions, and this won't happen again.

So lets begin the post game discussion.

I'd like to avoid a discussion about the Win Condition. Some of you aren't happy with our decision, we've done the best we can.
I'd like to avoid a discussion about Macavitar and Magna not "Playing To Win," I've already posted in the Graveyard QT about why I think they were.

I dunno, I tend to think knowing the flavour should prove at least some advantage to players? I mean it helped Maclock in that he could provide a fakeclaim really quick, but apart from that most fakeclaims would have been provided anyway with the relevant flavour via us . It does help in claiming and in general I guess i.e picking a role for a character but I thought we threw in enough things to subvert that (Greatjon as BP, Littlefinger as namecop), I don't know if it's something I'd really cut down too much on though. The ice and fire wiki is always there, I'll have more of a think of ways to get around that maybe without it detrimentally affecting the atmosphere of the game.

Agreed with most of the other things you say VP, set-up was town balanced, but if there's one thing I've seen recently it's that even in those scenarios town find loads and loads of ways to fuck it up.

I think this game does re-inforce the argument that a town is only as strong as it's weaker players, especially if they play so erattically they're impossible to read.

Oh also for those paying attention from the mini, (Mina spotted this) some of the roles were identical to claims in the mini (zorazter fakeclaimed 2-shot bp, raivann claimed 1-shot dayvig)
