It was an exciting day for the Austin Chain Gang, America’s favorite AA baseball team. They were on their way to Japan to compete in a baseball tournament, when suddenly everything went wrong.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we seem to be experiencing some turbulence. Please fasten your seatbelts and remain calm, “ said the smiling flight attendant, just before she was sucked out of an emergency hatch. The plane rocked and swayed before bellyflopping into the Pacific in an exciting display of special effects!

As the team dogpaddled around the wreckage, someone who had absolutely no knowledge of planes pointed at the engines. “Holy crap guys look, it was sabotage! And it was definitely someone on the team, not one of the many members of the flight crew or maintenance staff or other passengers! In fact, to do that much damage it must have taken four (4) of them!” A collective gasp and some spluttering later, it was quickly agreed that there was only one way to handle this situation: start drowning people and hope they were bad guys.

General Rules

This game uses the BaM ruleset. Please pay special attention to the deadline and replacement rules.

1.) Votes must be

bolded

and at the start of a line. If we don’t see it, we wont count it.
2.) Unvoting is nice, but not necessary.
3.) Once a majority is reached, that person is lynched.
4.) If there is no majority at deadline, there will be no lynch for that day.
5.) Day 1 will have an approximated deadline based on when the game starts – it will be no less than a week.

All following days will have a deadline of 7 days.

6.) Nights will have 48 hours maximum. Any night actions not submitted will simply not happen – the thread should be open 48 hours following a deadline lynch.
7.) Do not talk about this game outside the thread unless your role allows you to.
8.) When you die, you are dead. Stay that way.
9.) Do not edit posts. Do not use invisible text. Do not use small text.
10.) Do not quote any communication from the mod (that includes PMs) in the game thread.
11.) If you are going to be gone for an extended period of time, please let me know. See rule 12.
12.)

If you do not post for the equivalent of a full game day (see rule 5) you will be modkilled. Further, you will be blacklisted from any future games using the BaM ruleset. With the method of finding the saboteurs settled, the assembled Chain Gang players begin accusing each other for, frankly, stupid reasons. They are interrupted by the pilot, who managed to escape from the cockpit by doing something with a wire hanger and a piece of chewing gum.

“You idiots! What are you doing? The rescue transponder is sending a signal, help is on the way, let the police figure HURK.” HURK is the sound you make when you get shot in the head while making an impassioned speech to an assembled AA baseball team that’s treading water in the Pacific after a plane crash. Or so I’ve heard.

Nonplussed, the group resumes accusing each other of murder for very silly reasons.

Distracted, the team splits up to locate the source of the annoying sound. It's the kind of annoying like when you're on a cross-country road trip in mom's station wagon, and there's some damn toy in the back that keeps getting turned on over and over and playing "It's a Small World" until YOU JUST WNAT TO !@#$%!@%

Anyway, someone eventually finds the severed head of a flight attendent. "Please please please put your seats to an upright position" she says in a clipped mechanical voice. There's wires dangling from the bottom, they're robots? This explains everything.

Someone comes up with a liferaft. Naturally, a fight breaks out among the survivors to see who gets to ride in it. Sixteen (16) manage to squeeze onto the raft, while the other two (2) are forced to hang onto the floating body of the pilot. Yuck.

All this also proves to be a great distraction from the dorsal fin that's started circling the group.

As the arguing continues, the two hanging onto the dead pilot decide to cast off because, you know, yuck.

As they search among the scattered bits of debris, they come up with several useful bits - some jagged bits from the wing, a pipe or pole or something or other, some nice large pieces of glass from the cockpit, and some other odds and ends of things. As the others in the raft push and shove and tell yo momma jokes, these two (with the help of copious amounts of Big League Chew which they happen to have on them) begin CONSTRUCTION! (?)

Meanwhile, a second dorsal fin has joined the first, unnoticed by the rest of the group.

The sun sets on the wreckage of Flight LOL101, staining the rolling Pacific waves a bloody red. Combined with the funny fumes and tasty barbeque, the scene is almost beautiful.

BUT, work to be done!

The baseball crew determines that Zajnet must be one of the ones who sabotaged the plane and decide that he must hang for this crime. Unfortunately it's hard to hang someone in the middle of the Pacific, so the group is forced to improvise by taking turns holding him underwater until he starts floating next to the pilot.

After a long night in the very very dark, with strange sounds and smells and an ill wind that continued to blow, the group slowly wakes with the dawn. Above them, suspended in the trees and vines, the wreckage of Flight LOL101 creaked dangerously.

As the team blearily gathered together besides the trunk of that one huge gnarled tree, they begin to discuss what happened the previous day, when suddenly someone pipes up, "Hey, where's Enigma?"

The mosquito cloud descends with the dawn. As it always does. And of course it also starts raining, just to make sure the remaining baseball players are truly miserable.

The group begins to break up, salvaging sheet metal and thick vines to make temporary shelters and so forth, while yelling at each other about how they're one of the saboteurs. One of the more enterprising teammates begins trying to climb one of the huge tree trunks (in the rain no less) to get to the wreckage still suspended in the trees above.

The team lashes the large metal sheets and vines together to form makeshift shelters, just as the rain ends. They'd also be great for shade but there's already several thousand trees around for that. A collective groan is heard.

There's also the moment of hilarity when someone realizes they'd been using a large snake instead of a vine to tie a piece of metal to a tree. Just like in the cartoons!

Meanwhile, our enterprising baseball player up a tree manages to reach the broken cargo section of the plane. He shouts down a quick accusation before disappearing inside.

It seemed everyone was coming to a conclusion when suddenly someone else came forward, claiming to be an undercover cop. He even had a tin badge and everything. The group was suitably impressed. With the sun going down and sinister pairs of eyes gathering in the growing dark, the group quickly turned on the one singled out. Fortunately, being in a jungle means there's a plethora (that's a good word, plethora... I learned it from The Three Amigos. Which is also an underrated film. Have you seen it lately? I bet you haven't) of vines available, perfect for an honest, good lynchin.

And that's just what they did.

Meanwhile, the guy futzing around up in the plane fell out and broke his neck on the ground below. Tragic.

It was a dark and stormy night. The wind howled about the mountains, driving snow and ice against the remains of the crashed airliner. The remaining members of the baseball team huddled together for warmth and security, hoping against hope that this time their number wouldn't dwindle.

The winds began to die with the rising of the sun, and the group slowly emerged from the ruined shell of the airplane. A quick count revealed what they feared the worst - someone had been shoved out to die in the freezing cold during the night.

Funny thing about luggage. It's not really

to burn, you know? Not like those neat logs you can get at the grocery store, that are made of some kind of weird-ass chemical left over from refining that burn forever with a nice crackle. Luggage, especially the cheap kind that minor leaguers tend to have, gives off a lot of weird smells and vapors.

The sun rose over a beautiful tropical paradise, glinting off the clear ocean waters, the dew droplets still clinging to palm leaves, and the wreckage of a large airplane.

The survivors had crawled up on the beach, unmindful of the surf battering at their bodies. They were merely glad to be alive. That's why it took them so long to realize someone was missing, and so they split up to search the beach.

Eventually they found Sotty7. Evidentally she had a head-butting contest with a large coconut, and lost.

It had been a horrific accident. (Though, strangely, the survivors somehow felt that they'd been through the crash several times now, somehow) Most of them decided it was time for a little R&R in this here tropical paradise.

Many spread out on the beach, still pointing the occasional finger at one another but not caring terribly much. Why worry? The plane's galley was largely intact, including a vast quantity of booze, the sun was shining, the water was clear, and what's that smell?

The smell resolved itself into a large column of smoke, which in turn resolved itself into a huge bonfire, around which one of the survivors was busy gathering driftwood to heap upon the open furnace. "Look, I made a signal fire!"

It took a moment to sink in, about how this fire could have possibly been started so quickly. "But why is the rum gone?"

"See how big this signal fire is? Someone is sure to spot it!"

"But why is the rum gone?"

The group was then scattered in all directions by a sudden hail of flaming coconuts.

Well. Even if the rum is gone, it's still a tropical paradise, time to party.

The group decides that a quick coconut death is in order. Getting that out of the way early means more time on the beach, obviously. So they quick pick ConfidAnon out and toss coconuts at him until he's dead.

It takes a while, but after a while it's a game. 20 points for a head shot, 10 per torso hit, and 50 for... yes!

Anyway, while everyone's off busy doing that, people don't realize that Zorblag's off doing his own thing. Unfortunately for him a shark was also doing its own thing, and after an epic battle of ninja troll vs. shark, shark wins.

It was a long, long night in the Antarctic cold. The remaining survivors had to fend off attacks by elephant seals and killer whales before huddling together to sleep.

Fortunately nights there are long and everyone got the sleep they needed, as around 3pm the sun finally, wearily rose above the horizon. Unfortunately, it seems Equinox had wandered off for some inane reason and ended up pecked to death by a pack of mafia penguins. The only thing sharper than a mafia penguin's tux is his beak, as they say around here.

Emboldened by their earlier success, an army of waddling mayhem descended upon the ragtag survivors as the sun broke the horizon. Their shrill cries pierced the air and the sound of war drums froze the players' hearts.

Wearily, the minor leaguers gathered twisted bits of metal and heavy suitcases to meet the onslaught. They knew abandoning the wreck of the plane meant certain death, and so it was with great resignation that they formed a ragged circle in the face of the horde.

Despite being low in numbers, crashed in Antarctica, and fresh out of weapons, the survivors easily beat back the penguin assault. The penguins, being both stupid and stubborn, continued to come in waves, convinced that sheer numbers would eventually overwhelm the weary baseball team and bring them everlasting Guin Glory.

The air was filled with bloodied feathers.

As the sun dropped low on the horizon, the penguins began one last assault, a three-pronged phalanx of waddling beaky doom. Breathless and exhausted, the survivors rose to meet them.

The five slowly came to in the middle of an idyllic field. The field, freshly green and dotted with flowers of all kinds, stretched to all horizons. In the center, where the five lay, was an ancient gnarled tree. Its branches spread several yards, shading the survivors from a noonday sun that wouldn't move.

Disoriented by all this, it took some time for the five to remember that they had once been six. They found the missing one beneath one of the massive tree's outstretched limbs, hands folded peacefully upon his chest, and covered in flowers.

The final stone was cast, and they remaining four stood stock still, waiting with baited breath for... I dunno. Something really apocalyptic, like a giant skull filling the sky with evil laughter, or a sudden huge lightning storm or a volcano erupting or something. Instead the sun suddenly began to fade, then fell from the sky as if shot down, and the crickets began to chirp.

The plane quietly hummed around them as they slowly woke, with only the occasional jostle of turbulence to remind them that they were moving. Outside, the sky was pitch black, lacking stars above and ground below - as if the plane moved through a timeless void.

The once they had been eighteen, the occupants now numbered only three. singersigner was found in first class, looking peaceful in a fully reclined seat and with a mask over her eyes. The plane was otherwise entirely empty.

Which is bad, because as the altimeter in the cockpit revealed, it was rather quickly losing altitude, even if there was nothing but a vast emptiness outside.

drmyshottyizsik had been a fairly skittish character throughout the ordeal. Though his memories were more like impressions, and even those were riddled with holes, KageLord was quite certain of that. Gammagooey, on the other hand, had always seemed like a voice of reason.

"And... why? Why would I be?" Gamma's voice was cool and collected, as usual. "And if you're so sure, why not bring this up earlier?"

shotty's response was a wavering finger pointed in Gamma's direction. The plane hummed quietly as the other two stared at that finger, which seemed to want to but just could not quite commit to formally accusing Gamma. To KageLord, it seemed, what? Cornered? Unstable?

With a dramatic sigh, Gamma turned to KageLord. "This seems pretty obvious." KageLord nodded, and with that, the fatal mistake was made.

KageLord, frozen in shock, could only stare as a smiling Gammagooey sauntered back to his seat and sat back. Suddenly KageLord become aware of voices, from all around him... first dim, then growing louder. Though still frozen, but not now by shock, he saw his teammates slowly fading back into existence around him, and through the windows the endless black gave way to blue.

But for himself, he was fading. KageLord could feel his essense dissolving, his physical form being carefully removed from reality one stitch at a time. The team was now happily chatting around him, completely oblivious to his presence (or lack thereof), when suddenly the plane shook violently.

"This is your captain speaking, we seem to have hit a bit of turbulence, please " but this was cut off as a second explosion rocked the plane, which began a sudden, crazy descent through the atmosphere.

All KageLord could do, though, was stare at Gammagooey, and the ressurected forms of Chronopie and smashbro_of_the_SSS. His mind silently screamed an impassioned plea to his companions, a wail of fear and warning that they couldn't hear. And the last thing KageLord saw before everything went black was Gammagooey's lone sly wink.

Is this the consensus? Cuz I kinda did that on purpose but if it was annoying I can certainly change that.

I was excited to see Gamma vs. AGar, and I complained when they killed him.

Modkills make me </3 The BaM ruleset is pretty forgiving in most respects but, especially in a game this large with just one NK a day, the quick deadlines were really necessary.

i've watched lost too, so i appreciated it too. The last one was amazing, even though I knew what was going to happen, and you should really keep up that in your other games, papa.

Is it good or bad that I've never seen Lost and don't know what it's about? >_>
